    starting P3!

    I
m so happy to finally get to start p3! But breakfast is going to be hard for me since I usually eat some bread product. I don't eat eggs so I guess I'm just eating bacon and fruit?

I'm starting P3 tomorrow morning. My last round that is basically what I ate. Bacon and apple or berry compote. It was yummy! I haven't missed the bready foods but that is because I am sensitive to wheat products with the exception of the Ezekiel bread. I didn't try the bread until P4 though.

    Happy P3!

so far so good on weight, the first 2 days of p3 I gained a totally of 2 lbs, so I had to do a stake day on the 3rd day. now I'm 10 days in and Im 1.5 lbs below my LIW. I have cheated a bit with pizza, candy and soda, but it did not make me gain so I'm happy about that. I'm tiring to stay on protocol for the 3 weeks thought

veekay, remember you only do a steak day if you're more than 2 pounds above the weight you were on the morning you last took hcg. Don't do one when you don't need one. And you must stop cheating or you will mess up the stabilization long term. You might not see a gain now but it can affect how you do six months from now.

    Hi Grammy,

I'm only VLCD 15 and went into this experience CLUELESS. I've lost 15.2 lb. I went into this under the assumption that it would be 21 days. I had never heard of short/long rounds. By reading this forum, I have come to the understanding that a 21 day/short round doesn't seem to be long enough for most people and that it can make stabilization in the next phases more difficult. That makes sense to me but can you please EXPLAIN the details of that process? In the above text.....you stated cheating in phase 3 can mess up long term stabilization.......So, can you explain more about WHY the longer rounds have better outcomes and how cheating messes up stabilization.

Also, I read how phase 3 is the metabolism reset phase......can you explain that?

THANKS!!! Knowledge is power to me and it really helps for me to understand the mechanics of stuff.

I have been really bad on P3, I have been eating anything and everything. I have not gain thought and have been very stable at .5 below my LIW. I know this is not typical and not recommended, but I just gave up. I think my problem is I'm not gaining the weight back not matter how bad I eat. I plan to do another round soon anyway to lose 10 more lbs. Hopeful I will do better on P3 on my next round.

Somehow, I fail to see the problem here. The goal of P3 is to stabilize at somewhere close to your ending weight. You seem to be stabilized. Of course the rest of us think that's outrageously unfair, but hey....enjoy it.

The P3 after the first round can be quite magical. It can get a little more difficult in later rounds for some.

I'm not a breakfast food person, for the most part. I just eat left over protein from either lunch or dinner the day before for breakfast, with an apple and maybe some cheese.

Leez...you just broke my heart. Future P3's are more difficult than the first? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Leez i tend to agree with you about P3 My first couple of rounds i never worried about P3 though i didnt eat starches or obvious sugars and almost always dropped a cpl of lbs. my last round i had to stay away from parmesan cheese and coconut or almnd flour or i would go up but i never had to do steak day. Got close to 2 lb window but not over. But this time P4 im doing well and down a bit. Each time is different. Not worse but different. Past cpl of days im 136.6 which is 5 lbs below liw and 3.4 lbs below original goal im day 75 or 76 into p4 Im traveling right now till October so not sure how things will go once i get home
