    need some support

    I gained 2.5 pounds due to TOM i guess. I had eggs one day, i wasn't sensitive on my first round of p3 so i ate eggs that was a week ago ive been eating p2 foods, because when i eat anything with high fat i gain weight. So i did a high protein day. I GAINED 2.5 more pounds. I need help getting discouraged. Im going out of town for my anniversary friday. any recommendations, I was gonna do an eggs day, Is it 2 or 3 eggs 3 times a day. Im so confused

    LDW 142.3 goal was 140 but im good with 142

    what day are you on? just because you were not sensitive one round means nothing this round, unfortunately, Happy Anniversary!! We hit 14 years on the 26th.. I dont know what an egg day is? sorry, looks like you are leaving today?? I hope it all worked out for you if not just relax this weekend and have fun, eat P3 foods and enjoy!
    I am 5'4" 44 yo. Was stable at 123 last round, lost focus, back at 144.
    R1 1/11 Started at 170lbs got to 140. Another round 9/12 got to 123. Goal is to get back in that area and hold under 130.

    i have been having to do correction days like every other , or every two days. i am on R3 D10. an egg day, is where i eat 4 eggs in the am 4 for lunch and 4 for dinner. worked well for me i lost the 2 pounds i gained. but im having to do them every other or every two days. im trying to eat fatting stuff, but ive never been a greasy food person. seems if i gain no matter what. Im confused

    Hi neocatsy. Sounds like your body is stuck in an inflammatory response cycle. That means your body is stressed from eating only eggs, and goes into "I have to fix this" mode, and that's a fair description of an inflammatory response. It's also called "conservation mode" or "starvation mode."

    Try a Chicken Thigh day (CTD). Then, follow the Post-Correction Day Strategy (PCDS) to hold the loss you'll get with the CTD.

    The only time fats makes anyone gain is when they're consumed in accordance with carbs or sugars or starches. The less carbs you eat in accordance with high fat, the better. Also: protein is NOT THE ONLY way to get into ketosis (weight loss mode/fat-burning mode). In fact, if you consume too much protein you'll gain too.

    Also: eggs are a no-no in P3. Even though some recommend it, they are an inflammatory agent in P3 (not so much in P4). So the more egg days you did, the more of an inflammatory response you put your body in (and your body is a little bit "mad" at you for it, in a manner of speaking, and is fighting you as a result).

    So, read about the CTD (link in my signature below) and see how your body responds. Fats do NOT MAKE people fat; fats only cause a gain when coupled with too much sugar/carbs/starch/etc. OR too much protein.
