Thanks so much for the confirmation, Leez. Sometimes I do second guess myself, but I really am happy with the way things are going. And I deliberately opted to eschew all sweeteners in P2 because of what I've read about insulin response to sweet tastes, period. My mother died from diabetes and correcting things for me on a hormonal level and getting back in touch with a healthy relationship to food/hunger/satiety (back meaning probably when I was a child was the last time I had a healthy relationship to such things) has become my central goal with HCG, even more so than weight loss--though that has truly been a dream come true as well.
I really believe this program can be miraculous. It's so much more than a weight loss tool--it's helping me continue to revolutionize my relationship with food and my body. For the first time since before my parents divorced at 9 when I developed disordered emotional eating patterns, I feel I am no longer at war with food and my body. It's a really beautiful thing for which I am infinitely grateful.
That is exactly the way I feel. HCG has been a miracle for me. After years of fear of food and disordered eating, I am so thankful every day to find that I can eat a normal amount of healthy food and keep my loss. I have not lost my awe at finally getting to this point. All those years, I just thought I was bad at dieting, when in reality---I was too good at it. Constant dieting and fasting eventually slowed my metabolism to a crawl. I always regained anything I could lose. (and then usually added more) Only HCG was able to set things right and let my body work normally.
At goal since 2015. \(ᵔᴥᵔ)/ Total HCG loss: 77# [5'5" 210-133] Maintenance strategies overview

Hi ladies you have been talking me crazy with food recipe Ideas haha... I guess with Thanksgiving and P4 approaching we let our minds wonder...
As you know I personally prefer my foods clean and no fuss but one veggie I love now as an adult and yet I hated it with a passion as a kid is Spinach..... In our restaurants "seasonal veg" is almost always Creamed Spinach and butternut, But my recipe has a twist and you can add your own twist
Yvonnes take on creamed spinach
Generally I prefer Fresh Spinach which I steam
I fry some onion garlic and mushrooms (finely chopped) till soft in butter
Add the spinach and some feta or ricotta cheese
and then cream with cream or even coconut cream...
I love black pepper on it
Another veggie which I transformed from a traditional "Afrikaner" recipe is "boereboontjies"
The traditional recipe is beans with potatoes chopped in small cubes and finely chopped onions
The trick is to cook it till the beans is soft (soft not al dente)
at this point the potatoes creates a 'sauce"
You then turn the heat down, let it simmer till all the liquid has been absorbed... and a huge blob of Butter and mush together
This too asks for generous black pepper
HOWEVER... this is way way beyond even P4!! so here is my take on it
Green beans with a twist
Green beans thinly chopped/sliced (soften quicker)
same trick onion and mushroom softened but this time in butter
If you want you can dice Sweet potatoes finely, but not too much as the taste is very prominent, just to help to create the "sauce"
Add water, beans and a stock cube..
cook till soft and beans soft very soft...
Turn heat down and let the liquid simmer away
creating the sauce...
Be careful to cook away ALL the liquid or it becomes mushy
Then add a blob of butter and mush up...
PS both of these freeze very well!

More wonderful ideas--thank you!! How did I forget about green beans?!? I'm also thinking about making some caponata, which was one of my mother's specialties. But we ate it like a dip with tortilla chips and crackers. It would be lovely as a topping for steak or chicken as well. And creamed spinach . . . I have a recipe that uses homemade mayo as the creaminess factor, and I have a couple bags of frozen spinach in the freezer. I think that's on for tonight with a ribeye. Steakhouse dinner for one on a Friday night!
Another veg I like but seldom buy because it is not often available fresh is Artichoke hearts
I do have a can in the pantry and think it will be brought out this weekend or next week.....
I have those vegetable based Pizza bases and thinking next week Friday night might be pizza night with avo and artichoke hearts

MissM ...
i know there are recipes for cauliflower pizza bases you can make.... but that is just way way too fussy... especially if I am my local suppliers no 1 fan haha
I have the pizza bases in the freezer and will take out a pack (2bases) out to try soon... also what to see if i can make crackers with them.
i just know that their wraps are the best wraps ever... better than regular wraps...depending on how it goes I may also try their noodles next week
