    traveling on p3?

So I'm still in P2, and have about 10 days to go until I hit my 30 days, but being the planner/worrier that I am I am already thinking about P3.

I will be traveling for 3 or 4 days towards the end of my P3 and am kind of worried about what to eat. One of the days I will be going to an interview for school where they supposedly serve us breakfast and lunch. I'm not too worried about breakfast because I can eat something at my hotel before I go, but I feel like lunch might be a problem. I'm going to be with about 30-40 other young people so I have a inkling that lunch will be some sort of sandwiches or bad banquet food. Would it totally kill me if I just pick the meat off of whatever they serve us even though it will most likely have some not-so-good things in it?

I know as far as travel snacks go nuts, string cheese, fruits, jerky, and protein powders are all good ideas. Any vets have anything else to add?

    Thanks to everybody in advance!

If it's just the last few days I wouldn't worry too much about it. I would bring lots of snacks. almonds ROCK! I also made some DELICIOUS spinach dip and zucchini chips to dip in it. you could make some of that. try making some oopsie rolls to use as bread and pack some turkey meat (real meat, not lunch meat) or even a burger. avocados rock too. tuna is easy to make. Also, I found some canned chicken breast. i rinse it in water to get rid of some of the salt, and haven't had any issues with it. and bring mayo
    Good luck!

I did the whole HCG program -- all the phases -- while traveling and working...but I provided my own food or ate out. If they serve you sandwiches I think your idea of eating the "inner" without any carbs is your best bet. You could also buy vacuum packed tuna which doesn't require refrigeration so you get enough protein...you need to at least double your protein in P3. You could have some eggs for breakfast.. hotels usually have boiled eggs or some type of meat...I think you will do great....You can do it. I carry peanut butter rather than nuts because I find I eat too many nuts and a couple of tablespoons of peanut butter curbs my hunger.

I agree! Traveling on P2 is much scarier than p3. I always ask them to check if there is any sugar in the recipe and often order a safer backup meal at the same time if my first choice does have sugar. I've found that almost any sauce does have sugar, so watch those. Watch thick or creamy soups and sauces since they have likely been thickened with a starch. I order sandwiches and burgers wrapped in lettuce leaves and that goes over pretty well. I have avoided Italian and Chinese restaurants and lean towards ones with a broader menu where I'll have options. I packed my scale early in P3 and on longer trips. Now, I leave it for short trips - tired od lugging extra weight. You'll do great!
