    Hello, so my CTD was yesterday and I only got 0.5 pound down, I'm not really dissapointed as I needed more to reeve up my metabolism and I think I felt what gonnaloseit said about stomach working overdrive so now
    I think I'll just follow the original 12 days pcds by gonnaloseit, I really hope to stabilize , and swithch for phase 4
    LDW 140
    and today I weighted. 142
    I still have 15 pound to go so I guess another round is due

    Good morning !Woke up this morning got the kiddos off to school and did my weigh in I had a 1.4 loss ?? Can it be right I lost more than on CTD? I guess weighing in to early is not good! (Saturday and Sunday I had to weigh in at 4am)
    Well i get to add a few carbs today Cucumbers it is ! Hope everyone has a great day and great losses!!

    Day1 No carbs .8
    Day 2 no carbs.. 1.4

    Congrats Mel! Yep. Whenever I weigh too early I ve 1-2 lb or so more. So part of the loss is from ctd. But It's awesome that u also kept losing on the pcds. Cool.
    Weighed 66.6 again this a.m.
    So guess I m finally stabilizing, though still afraid every morning that the scale d go up again. Was at 7% carbs yesterday. Today it ll b around 8% or so.
    Yeay.

    If i want to lose more can i do another ctd when im done with pcds? If i can lose 5 to 7 more lbs i will wait until after christmas to do round 3 ! oh yeah im loving this! thanks

    the ctd worked for me too, i had a 2.2 lb loss this morning. today i start my two days of pcds w/o carbs. the most i've ever lost with a steak day was .6 lb, so i was thrilled beyond belief when i saw how much i lost from the ctd. i will post my results after my pcds.

    thank you so much gonnaloseit for your extensive and exhausting research and for sharing your information with all of us. you have replaced my frustration on stabilizing and gaining with hope!

    thank you melaniet. i see where you lost over 3 lb during your ctd/pcds, thats fantastic. even with my 2.2 lb loss i'm still 3.5 pounds over my liw. i hope to lose a couple more pounds during my pcds.

    I'd recommend, if you want to continue to reduce the inflammatory response/weight gain you experienced in P3, to do this pattern, in your case (as I know you have a few more pounds to lose than just 2):

    CTD
    PCDS day 1 (no-carbs)
    PCDS day 2 (no-carbs)
    PCDS day 3 (carbs, 1-3%)
    PCDS day 4 (carbs, 1-3%)
    CTD

    Now, you CAN push CTDs up earlier, and not do PCDS....but as I'm hearing reports of a few people following this strategy and they're consistently losing on PCDS itself (due to their bodies recovering from an inflammatory response)...I'll stretch out that timeframe to now recommend the strategy posted above.

    FYI: for those of us who like research stuff, like myself, I'll start posting links to research studies covering inflammatory responses, and how your body handles inflammatory responses. For now, I'll mention that cortisol is one aspect of an inflammatory response (also called a "stress response") that has influenced me most; the carb-reduction strategy has to do with minimizing spikes in bloodsugar/cortisol in the bloodstream.

    As for the rest of your inquiry, dear lilies: avocados are great for days when you're re-introducing carbs. VERY good. But VERY potent. So a little goes a long way with avos. Cucumbers, peeled, are the most carb-stretching friends you can have on PCDS. It takes a LOT of cukes to make a difference in your ratio.

    I'll assume you've read The Guide, right lilies? Follow the carb re-introduction schedule by using a little bit of avos, and a decent amount of cukes your first day that you re-introdce carbs (which is PCDS day 3). And your tracker will tell you just how many those are. Don't forget: ALWAYS weigh your food AFTER cooking, and choose the COOKED versions of foods.

    I am doing a CTD today after doing a steak day yesterday.... I lost 1 lb with the steak day but that still puts me slightly over the 2 lbs.... I am REALLY hoping that I have as much success with it as some of you ladies have! Wish me luck

    btw, can someone tell me what pcds is? I know it's probably very basic, lol. Thanks!

    Pcds is post correction day strategy. It's only used on this thread I guess. Gonna lose it has developed/ researched it. It's a way to lock in losses from any cd & it works great. Read her blog. U ll find the link in the first pages of this thread.
