  1. #181
What is a Chicken Thigh Day? Please provide details. I've never heard of it.

    Thanks.

Update: I found Gonnaloseit's blog and will research the rest of the points to the Chicken Thigh day.

    Hiya Mel!

Your loss, your "true loss" is likely less than what you saw today. Because some of that total is actually part of the full loss you had from days you had to weigh in earlier. So, an example: say someone last put something into their mouth at 9 PM, but wasn't able to wait the full 10 hours later (which would be 7 AM) to weigh in. Say they weighed in at 3 AM. Well, their body is still working on breaking down whatever it was that was last in that person's body (be it water or food), and will CONTINUE to excrete fat in the urine as that next day progresses. It's still losing that morning, AFTER the 3 AM weigh-in. The ONLY TIME A WEIGH-IN will be accurate, and you can bet on it showing ALL of the loss is 10 hours after someone last put something in their mouth.

Soooo...thinking about a lb of what you saw on the scale today for the loss is actually attributed to the day(s) you weighed in super early, my friend. Alas, the answer: you didn't lose that much, not really, at this point. BUT...you CAN STILL be "calming down" and be getting back to your LIW. Don't get too excited, but as you progress thru PCDS you'll see it start to level off, et ctera. PCDS is not a weight-loss strategy; it's a stabilization strategy, keep that in mind. CTD is also a stabilization stragegy...though its primary mission is to help you lose the weight you need to so you can be back at LIW.

Thanks for the update, miss Mel! Glad to see continued successes!!

Thanks for asking, Pensee! I'm doing way better.

And so far, so good! Stabilizing is great to hear! Yaay, Pensee! Don't be afraid of the scale; you're doing great, and will continue to do great. I have faith in you!

I'd say hold off on thinking that far in advance until we get you stable. Stabilization with CTD and subsequent PCDS is possible. But we don't want to use these as weight-loss strategies outside of hCG itself. If round 3 is an hCG round, then we can look ahead and say we'll do it if we need to correct.

Awesome to see you here, cohoff! And YAAAY on your loss!!! Glad to see you're on to PCDS now. You are VERY welcome for all the stuff I ran across and posted! I'm really glad to b conduit of information that helps so many people. AND it's awesome you have hope again!!!

If you have any immediate questions, don't hesitate to PM me. Thread posts don't always get my attention like a PM will, and if it's time-sensitive, PM is better. If not, post here, and I'll get to it a couple times a day at best.

Keep us posted on your success!

thank you so much gonnaloseit for your extensive and exhausting research and for sharing your information with all of us. you have replaced my frustration on stabilizing and gaining with hope!

    Hiya Pensee dear!

For avoiding any nutritional issues with fruit sugar, be sure to drink caffeine, a LOT of fiber (romaine lettuce) to slow the rate of sugar into your bloodstream (if you can do it at the same meal, that's when to do fiber). If you ate fruit at say, breakfast, make the next meal a NO CARB meal 4 hours later. BUT DO NOT combine really starchy food and/or sugar with fat. Remember what Simeons stated: the minute fats and starches/sugars are combined, things are very likely to "get out of hand."

If you missed the chance to correct at the next meal, just play it safe the next couple days. Eat clean P2 foods and P3/PCDS foods, and avoid fruits and goitrogens. Your body will recover!

    Congrats cohoff & welcome here.

Baa. Could really kick myself. Just had a total break down & ate a ton of fruits (peaches & plums). Damn. Now my tummy is aching. Hope I didn't destroy everything

Hey, sweet lilies! You're SO CLOSE to LDW -- 2 lbs!! WOW! That's great. Proud of you!

So, remember: CTD and PCDS are not weight-loss strategies, in as much as they're stabilization strategies. They're designed to get you back to LDW/LIW (drop weight for D, injection weight for I in those abbreviations). So yeah -- hCG would be the best way to get back to 15 lbs (your goal weight); your LDW is only 2 lbs away, so that is AWESOME. Looks like the CTD and PCDS are doing their jobs!

Also: based on everyone's experiences, I "tweaked" the 12 days to make it 10 days. Posted the slightly quicker schedule where it was before (in my blog). Schedule is now:

    PCDS
    Day 1: no carbs
    Day 2: no carbs
    Day 3: 1-3%
    Day 4: 1-3%
    Day 5: 3-5%
    Day 6: 3-5%
    Day 7: 5-7%
    Day 8: 5-7%
    Day 9: 7-9%
    Day 10: 7-9%

As you may or may not know, your body will tell you it's ready to move on to more carbs and calories BEFORE that schedule is up. And for some strange reason, if you ever get to day 10 and your body STILL hasn't told you to move on, you move on anyhow. SO FAR nobody's body stays on that schedule longer than a few days.

PM me with any questions, sweet lilies!!

I think I'll just follow the original 12 days pcds by gonnaloseit, I really hope to stabilize , and swithch for phase 4
    LDW 140
    and today I weighted. 142
I still have 15 pound to go so I guess another round is due
