    Hi Mel!

So, here's the deal: since the creation of the CTD and PCDS..........nobody has tried to start another round while still on PCDS.

How close are you to LDW/LIW? Under 2 lbs?

It's uncharted territory, basically. BUT here's the good news: if you're not stable by the time you get to P1, I don't think that will affect your next round.

REMEMBER: the reason the PCDS is created is to reduce stress on your body, and prevent spikes in bloodsugar tied to cortisol, and cortisol is tried to a stress-response. Cortisol, you may have heard, is part of another term: inflammatory response. Basically, you're getting your body to "calm down" with PCDS. And to gradually get it to a place where it will stop freaking out and start acting normally....and to let it know "hey, you're not in starvation mode, friend!" in the process.

So. How close are you to LIW/LDW? Let me know.

Your continued losses seem to be great progress, Mel! Keep up the good work!!

I should be ok I can just eat turkey and veggies and be in P4 at Christmas !! Im just thinking ahead.

    Hi sweet lilies!

FYI: this was a time-sensitive question; next time, PM me for more immediate answers, okaaaayyy?

Here's what I would suggest you do:
    -Stop eating late

-Watch your water intake (if no caffeine drank that day: 1/2 gallon....if caffeine drank that day: 1 gallon)

-No soda -- dunno if you have drank any of this, but hey....it's always good to get a reminder!

-Take, at the VERY least, a multi-vitamin as I indicated in an earlier post (with just the basics, and not even then all the 100% ones....the One a Day "Essentials" line is good for this)

-Eating with friends always has the potential for eating errors....it's easy to "eat ___ because they ate it" and to not be conscious of what you're eating...

-I assume you ate the grill plate with a tortilla, or other "non-just-protein and veggies" stuff? Perhaps cheese, sour cream, something?

-Anything cooked at a restaurant with "some" kind of oil will likely be cooked in either trans-fat heavy oil, or oil that is FULL of goitrogens (soy-based "vegetable" oil, bad for a thyroid that had been stressed out; in PCDS the less stress the better, and this is stress...not good)

-Steamed stuff, or baked stuff, is the way to go when eating out....NO MATTER WHAT the level of uncomfortability that TEEENSY moment in time will be where you have to refuse sharing a plate of ___, or where you have to say, "it's for my health, really -- it's not just a diet, please support me!" ....A brief explanation to friends will help them understand to not push you into eating "because"...rather than eating "because" they wanted you to eat something with them, which would result in having to go through an even longer PCDS cycle...which sucks bigtime

    SOOOoooooOoOooOOOoo...
One other issue I think may be a factor in your stabilization: tell me more about your experience with the "fake hCG" drops. How long did you suffer through them? It was this round, correct? Tell me how long you were in starvation mode, what you finally did to get out of starvation mode from the fake drops, and how long it's been since you had last taken them. Let me know all that, okay sweet lilies?

Losing dermal fat while in P2 doesn't do anyone any favors. It sets the body up for a difficult time stabilizing. It's not impossible, but the wackiness and stressed-out-ness of your body will be a MAJOR FACTOR to be aware of when trying to stabilize. Remember: whenever we starve ourselves, we not ONLY lose dermal fat...we BUILD STARVATION FAT RESERVES. And what, pray tell, are those "starvation fat reserves"....? It's the "fort knox of fat" we were accessing in P2. It's the bad fat, the fat that is responsible for yo-yo dieting, it's the fat that secretes hormones (!! yes, FAT SECRETES HORMONES, holy crap, that was a revelation!)...and these hormones are what interfere with normal metabolism function.

Sooooo....if you starved for a certain amount of time, you likely lost dermal fat, and stored more fat in your "starvation fat reserves" (again, it's the bad fat we're trying to get rid of, and starving unfortunately does the OPPOSITE of that....sadly). That's because in starvation mode, the body wants to ensure that anticipated starvation will be covered. So it acceses the "quick reserves" (dermal fat) first, and the "starvation fat reserves/fort knox of fat" last. Because it wants to get energy QUICK without depleting its ultimate energy source (the bad fat).

SO....within all my babbling on (it's laaate)....know this: your eating error is not un-doable. BUT we need to properly assess how far you are from LDW and see what we can do to get you to a stable weight. I won't gloss over this; your actual, eventual LDW will quite possibly be higher than you want. BUT....if we can get you there, you will be stable. Meaning, any calorie disaster won't affect you like this one did. Goitrogen or not, carb-heavy or not, all that.

And once again, if you ever, EVER have a time-sensitive question like this, do not forget to PM me. Post here all the info I asked for, though, as it's where I asked about it. And, feel better!

Well, u ll ve to decide then. Can understand ur concerns abt Christmas, but it really does come every year :-)
Stabilizing is hard enough as it is, trying to figure out food sensitivities etc. I just wouldn't risk ending my round early & then struggling even more with stabilization. The last week isn't abt losing more this time, It's abt stabilizing better.

    hi gonnalosit ,
okay so here is the gory detail its my 1st round and a friend suggested an online brand of drops which advertised to be real hcg, so i got the 21 day drops that said you lose from 20-40 pounds i needed to lose 30 pound so i was good, and in the 1st 10 days i actually lost 12 pounds amazing huh, then opps , i discovered i'm having more than 10 drops i didn't count (thought the dropper was measured), and the drops aabout to finish i started counting drops and of course panicking coz the delivery took 7-10 days so i got another brand with option of 2-3 days shipment and started once my original drops finished overall 15 days with 14 pounds lost , i used my 2nd brand drops for another 10 days with only 2-3 pound loss, and then i decided its not working and i switched to phase 3, hoping to stabilize and start again om medical prepared hcg drops this time.
as for my meal the day before, today i had one pound loss so i'm still 3 pounds over ldw, i didnt have any soda no carbs no diary and certainly not my favorite guacamole, i just ate lots of protein and fats i ate very clean yesterday and today 'll do that as well .
have i mentioned on the increased dose i started initially, i was actually losing weight on loading days i couldn't believe it i was ecstatic.
    thanks dear
    best of luck.

I am so happy you posted this, I lost on p2 23 lbs. I started my cycle the very 1st day of p3 and have gained 2.8 pounds which after 2 correction days I never lost. I am not sure what I am doing wrong I too have a fat issue and cannot eat a lot of fat. Let me ask you about what I ate yesterday and maybe you can offer me help. I started my day with a cup of black coffee I later had 2 hard boiled eggs. For lunch I had a bowl of salad with avocado and a slice of turkey and a slice of swiss cheese. Snack I ate an apple a piece of fresh mozzarella and some green olives maybe 5.
For supper I ate a cole slaw veggies and stir fry chicken with soy sauce. I did not consume a ton of water maybe a bottle or two. I am a former ww and this would even be below my daily points. What do you see here as my biggest problem because when I weighed in this morning I was up 2.8 lbs which made me have to do another correction day. I am so frustrated because I cannot put a handle on what I am doing wrong. Please help me.

    HI, Mel!

WOW.....you're BELOW LIW!!!! OMG...that is really unexpectedly AWESOME.

    So, couple things:
-The moment you gain ANYTHING (or stay at the same weight, too) it's a sign that you can start increasing!!!!! YAAY!!! Use the method (calculate your new calorie limit with the second, different calculator, and divide the diff by 5, then add that amt over 5 days until you get there, all that and more I mention about this in the Guide)

-The fact that you're below LIW....that's stunning! YOU ARE a trailblazer, aren't you? The CTD and PCDS is a stabilization strategy, not a weight-loss strategy....sooooooo....once more, nobody I know of has been THAT far under LIW. And I don't know if your body will tell you it wants to get back up there. IF it does, don't fight it! BUT in this case, you likely won't see that happen, because you're going on another round. AND because you're in P4, getting below 2 lbs LIW is not a big deal; you CAN lose weight in P4, it's not a big deal.

    -Calories to add in:
    >avocados, onions, fennel/anise
    >Not caloric, but YUMMY: cucumbers, celery, romaine, all lettuce, herb mix salads

Look at the goitrogen list, and keep that in mind when choosing veggies (what to avoid), but then....just go to your supermarket, and enter things into your tracker. Some may be there that I have not thought of...play around with what you see.

AND YES -- I DO recommend that you start your next round. BUT before then, add calories and so forth (like the guide says), honey! Your body is telling you it wants to stabilize!!

I feel u. 2.8# over night almost always means inflammation. U r sensitive to something or several things u ate. It could b soy, dairy, eggs or even cabbage!
Try the pcds after ur cd. It really does help, although It's not easy.
If u can't or don't want to, go back to basics. Meats (not turkey though, it causes sensitivities & I d stay away from pork too for now). Best r red meats & poultry like chicken, duck, goose. Non-starchy veggies, but stay away from night shades & all kinds of cabbage for the first couple of days. Cook things in lard, schmalz, ghee or olive oil.
Why can't u eat fat? Do u ve digestive problems or is it the WW brain wash? Fat is essential, especially saturated fats if u wanna heal ur gut & reduce inflammation.

    Agree with Pensee.

Also: needhelp, I'll emphasize that you ate notorious inflammatories your first week of P3; dairy (cheese), eggs, goitrogens (soy sauce, cabbage, etc.), and you probably ate too much too soon ontop of it.

I'm seeing the "sloooww strategy" in transitioning from P2 to P3 work best. If you go from eating via mouth 500 cals to 2000 cals overnite, the body will gain. EVEN THOUGH your bloodstream had 2000 cals in it, it was FROM BODYFAT...not dietary sources. That's why a slooowww re-introduction of food quantity/calories works better than going bazongo nuts with a lot of food first day, or first week of P3.

ALSO: amt of water, caffeine, if ur drinking the juice of 1 lemon a day...doing that? Drink 1 gallon of water if u drink caffeine; a half-gallon if no caffeine.

Last but not least: unless you've had ur gallbladder taken out, there is no reason I know of to avoid fat. Let me re-iterate: FAT IS THE BEST SOURCE OF FUEL FOR OUR BODIES, and we as human beings are inherently pre-disposed to NEED fat to remain healthy and combat inflammation (bloodsugar issues and cortisol in particular).

So, HERE is what u need to do:
-Read the CTD strategy, then follow it

-Read the PCDS strategy, then follow that after the CTD

-Toss aside any fat phobia you may have; realize a basic truth: fats help people lose, protein can help people lose or gain depending on how much they eat of it, and carbs -- "fast carbs" in particular, moreso than "slow carbs" -- inherently promote gains, unless used in conjunction with fats and proteins in correct amounts (fat highest, protein the next highest, carbs lowest is the formula to use to prevent gains from carbs).

The links to both CTD and PCDS are in my signature (below) in every post.

Keep us posted on what your CTD turns out to be!! And, don't forget: DO NOT DO TWO CORRECTION DAYS BACK-TO-BACK....too hard on the body, and this can turn trigger a cortisol/starvation mode response.

AND: do the CTD first, PCDS second. They go together, and in that order. Of all correction days, the CTD is perhaps the best because you do not have to starve yourself until dinner, thereby reducing the chance of going into starvation mode. And starvation mode is EXACTLY WHAT YOU ARE TRYING TO GET OUT OF, not dig yourself a deeper hole!

PM me with any time-sensitive questions about this, k? Most questions are answered by the guide, tho, and there us no "shorthand" to describing it. It IS totally worth it, as Pensee said. It works. Have a good one!

Wondering how you can hold your loss after the Chicken Thigh Day, or any correction day? Try the "Post-Correction Day Strategy" (PCDS): http://hcgdietinfo.com/hcgdietforums/entry.php?b=16711

I'm using "MyNetDiary Pro"...I highly recommend it. Huge, ACCURATE Food Database! It's at http://www.mynetdiary.com
