Oh, cohoff, that sounds great! NOW I want some of that bread. The "not the whole loaf" means "not a whole loaf for dinner." You're also eating gluten-free bread.....mmmm! That's good stuff! Melt in your mouth, I bet.

    And starch-free, grain-free, yeast-free, SOY-free, and dairy-free...!!! AWESOME!!!!

The "1 net carb" count is fantastic news.

And heck no -- this is better than most bread. It's perhaps one of the best breads I've ever heard of! The only thing I'd be wary of is if it had sugar of some sort, or a sodium count that's high. Doesn't sound like that's the case, though!!!

I think I'd order this online if I could. Is julian bakery a national brand, or a local shop?

i am eating the coconut flour bread from julian bakery. it is organic, starch-free, grain free, gluten free, yeast free, soy free and dairy free. each slice has 6 carbs but only 1 net carb. do you think that will be a problem?

    Hiya hilda!

Here are your calculations for PCDS:
    1915 calories

IDEAL RATIO: 60% cooked fat calories, 40% cooked protein calories
    That means...
40%: 766 calories from cooked protein (which is 191.5 grams of cooked protein)
60%: 1149 calories from cooked fat (which is 127.6 grams of cooked fat)

    198.2 LDW
238 grams is max protein grams -- the LIMIT to consume, not a mandate ((not a required amount))
Which means you can't have more than 952 calories from cooked protein grams BUT you do not HAVE to have 952 calories from cooked protein grams. AND...when I say "protein grams" I do NOT mean "protein source" -- protein source is the meat, protein grams is the amount of protein contained WITHIN the meat.

    Does that help?

i order the bread online. http://www.julianbakery.com they are pricey, but i feel i deserve it after all i've accomplished with hcg. they have alot of different kinds of bread, but i like their paleo bread......made with either almond flour or coconut flour. i know some people arent crazy about the coconut flour paleo bread, but i love it. i havent had bread of any kind in two years so it really hits the spot for me.

here are the ingredients in the paleo coconut bread.......... Purified Water, Organic Coconut Flour, Egg Whites, Psyllium, Organic Apple Cider Vinegar, Baking Soda.

initially i ordered one loaf of coconut flour and one loaf of almond flour to see if i liked them. once i determined i liked the bread, i ordered 6 loaves as its cheaper that way and it lasts 3-4 months in the freezer. they also sell in stores in certain areas. you can check if they sell close to you on their website.

    Hey everybody,

Just ordered MgCl. Best source seems to b aquaristik shops. It's used as additive in the water for corals. Ordered 1 kg (food grade) for 3€ + shipping. Will let you know about taste, solubility, etc. and if it makes a difference.
One more recommended suppl. for insulin resistance is ALA (alpha lipoic acid). It's also supposed to clear brain fog & it protects the nerves. Just started taking it today... so can't tll if it works. But it's a powerful antiox, so I figuered it won't hurt...

Great find on the MgCl (magnesium chloride), dear Pensee!!

I hear some solutions, when prepared, have a slightly metallic taste, that can be offset by grapefruit juice after drinking it (if you're taking MgCl orally). I think the aqua shop source is great. Great thinking, too! Glad to hear it's foodsafe.

What will you be mixing it with? It comes in powdered form, correct?

I've been hearing very little on ALA as opposed to CLA...I'll check it out. Good to know you're taking it, and how it's so powerful -- thanks for the tip!

    YAAAYYY!

I'm still chickening out (no pun intended, lol) on adding eggs due to my adding them in too early in P3 of R1. I'll definitely now gain some confidence, because it's now P4 of R2...and woman up and try them.

Thanks for mentioning eggs again. I think I may have forgotten about them for breakfast; I've been eating so many other things for so long, it's funny how eggs effortlessly slipped out of my breakfast routine!

Yeah, P4 is pretty awesome. And I'm VERY happy for you that you didn't gain!! YAAAAY!

    Thanks for sharing, cohoff!
