Can you give me some sample menus for the few days right after a CTD to give me some ideas? I don't eat veal, duck or seafood....

Help! I 'm so confused!! I'm doing the 7 chicken thigh correction day exactly as you laid out but I looked at my package of chicken thighs to see how many calories were in them and my 7 thighs add up to 3100 calories!! That is WAY higher that what you said yours were. Why do you suppose that is? Should I worry about it, or just eat them all and see what happens?

    Hi shkelly!

Raw amounts are inaccurate, btw; not sure what ur using to come up with those cals, but its very off. Do not go by raw cals on the package.

Also: thighs with the bone in weigh more than what you end up eating (weighing amt should never include bone weight).

How did you come to the conclusion it was that high? Regardless -- if it's 2000, 3000 cals or 25 million...7 chicken thighs are not eaten/adjusted for any calorie count. Stop counting calories with a CTD; just eeeaaat them, yuuuum. Effective, regardless of cals you may or may not be aware of. It works.

One other thing: if u stress throughout the CTD, and worry every second you're eating them, ur cortisol levels will remain high, and not allow the CTD to do its job.

So, again -- calories don't matter on a CTD (and, even if they did, there is noooo way the cooked portion, sans the weight from bones taken out -- just what u can eat, is even possibly that high). Don't worry about cals. For now, at least. Calorie counting resumes after.

    You will be fine.

HAHA!! I'm not stressing and totally enjoying it today! I'm on thigh numero cinco!! Mmmmmm! I am not a calorie counter during any phase, but was curious this time what I was eating. The package said 4oz. were 250 calories and that it contained 18 servings. There were 10 thighs so I multiplied 250x18 to get the total number of calories and then divided by 10 to get the calories per thigh and then multiplied that by 7. Just for fun, lol! I see what you mean about the raw weight not being actual weight, especially when bones are included. After the 1st 2 thighs, my hunger subsided and only came on slightly when it was time to eat again. This so far has been SO much easier than the super low blood sugar I got from steak day. My husband was ready to check me into the hospital! It was awful!

Congrats, shkelly -- how much did you lose? And, did you do the PCDS afterwards, or did you do something else to hold your loss? How's it going for you? Please let us know.

HEY! I lost 1.6 with chicken thigh day and then did a no carb, high fat and protein day the following day and lost another 1.4. I gained .8 back today but I worked out and can feel the retention. =)

    Chicken Thigh question...veggies?

So, looking at your recent history here, being able to successfully add in fage and eggs....that's great! Which days did you add them in on, btw? I noticed you have a LIW of 112.4, yet what looks to be P3D1 is 110.7....did you start really low in calories and then increase? Is that why I'm seeing a steady gain with your numbers?

I think that if you started too low in calories when you began P3, and those consecutive gains are the result of that...you were (unfortunately) in an inflammatory response cycle (also known as "starvation mode") from the beginning of P3. Which would explain much of your gaining. Not sure if you took anything for the stomach bug, but even if you didn't, it's likely that your body's equilibrium (digestion, intestinal flora, etc.) got a little wacky because of that ontop of it.

When you say "tried to add pistachios"...why do you say "tried" when it looks like you lost weight the following day? Are you listing those pistachios on the same day you added them? Is that weight the AM weight of the same day you added pistachios?

Because if you're listing your AM weight and then what you did after that time on the same day...looks like pistachios are a win for you. Good job, hope that's the case! Not sure why "tried" is there in your vocabulary, seeing as how right now it appears you did great and didn't have a gain from them. You should have written there, "I successfully added pistachios, wooo hoo!"....heh heh.

Here's what I'm asking you if what you are doing is similar -- AM weigh-in is first, details on what you ate later that day is afterwards:

Tuesday: 115.6 *Ate cream cheese later on Tueday, for Dinner
    Wednesday: 116.2

If that's what you're doing, please verify. I wanna make sure I'm reading it the way I need to be reading it to give you any sort of advice.

Tenative advice: take anti-inflammatory supplements. Try to find an Omega-3 supplement -- with *only* Omega-3s, no 6's, 9's, or any other Omega in it -- as well as perhaps Boswellia and Ashwaganda. I introduced, of all things, Avocado....and had a wacky inflammatory response to them. I know -- AVOCADOS -- ! Lol... Since I took them I've stopped the inflammatory cycle (meaning, I stopped gaining) successfully. Waiting for the inflammation/starvation mode response to subside at the moment; don't know what to expect exactly, but it's good to know I stopped the inflammatory response in its tracks.

Let us know how you're doing, ok? And, the other answers to our questions too, ok? Hope all is going well with you!

    Hi Kellee.

No, the Chicken Thigh Day is **no veggies** and **no carbs**....you'll have to read it to understand it. The link to it below is in my signature.

Remember: a CTD is only Chicken Thighs, nothing more, nothing less. Cooked without oil, cooked without butter; just cooked chicken thighs on a cookie sheet that has sides to it.... Save the grease that comes out of the thighs with cooking for later too. The grease is a great addition to recipes later on in the Post Correction Day Strategy (PCDS for short); the PCDS is the only time you start introducing veggies again. And the PCDS always comes after the CTD.

The PCDS and the CTD both are linked to in my signature, below.

GonnaLoseIt - I tried to message you, but it's saying it didn't go through because your inbox is full. Is there a way I can reach out to you and ask you a few questions?

    Thanks!

Hi, I tried to message you as well, but it said you need to clear some of your stored messages before it could go through Here are my questions:

I did the chicken thigh day yesterday and lost 2 lbs. Now, for today, I know to have 0 carbs and eat only meat. So far, I have had 2 chicken thighs this morning. I know it is good to keep my fat higher than the protein, but this seems hard without adding in cream or avocados! What meat do you recommend I eat for the rest of the day? I did save the grease from the chicken, so I plan on frying with that. Do I kind of ignore the fat/protein ratio these first 2 days? Then, when I can add carbs, maybe add in an avocado or coconut oil?

I am still up 6 lbs. from my liw and am in p4. Seems like I STILL can't add anything in! However, when looking back, I think I may have been eating too much protein. I'm excited to start over and keep an eye on that Do you think I could do x amount of post correction days and then see if another chicken thigh day would work to help get back down?

Also, do you follow the leptin reset timing of meals? I usually eat every 4 hours. Just curious! Thanks so much.

That's awesome! Thank you for sharing. I also have steak day issues (all that being hungry until dinner-ugh!).
