    WTH? GAINED on a steak day. Now what?

    Went out Saturday night and had two cocktail, no mixers. Woke up to a two pound gain. Did a steak day yesterday. Mixed in some light cardio and a sauna at the gym to release some of the water. Drank tons of water. Now I'm up .2 lb, 2.8 over LDW and want lost in tears. Now what the hell do I do? High protein all day.

    I'm just pissed off. BF had 5 flippin beers and at about a pound of peanuts at the bar and has lost a pound over the last two days. I really want to cry.
    Starting weight 10/31 - 146.6
    LDW 11/21 - 131.2 (15.4 lbs. gone!)
    Current weight 12/8 - 130.1 stabilizing well!

    You're now .8 lbs over LDW? You shouldn't have done a steak day. Steak days are for when you are more than 2 lbs (that's 2.2 lbs or more) over LDW. It's not for when you are 2 lbs heavier than the day before.

    Focus on stabilizing in P3. Don't try to lose more weight during P3.

    Sorry. I'm 2.8 over LDW. I mean I was .8 over that 2 pound max gain.
    Starting weight 10/31 - 146.6
    LDW 11/21 - 131.2 (15.4 lbs. gone!)
    Current weight 12/8 - 130.1 stabilizing well!

    No idea why you gained on a steak day, but if you keep gaining daily, check how many calories you are getting. If you don't eat enough, you can gain, especially if you add a workout in. Happened to me for the first 2 weeks of P3. But then again, I never stopped gaining and I think I'm back to where I started. SO frustrating because I followed protocol, didn't cheat, checked all my labels religiously for sugar and starch, ate plenty of protein, stopped any food that caused gains- nuts, cheese. And still crept back up to where I started. I don't know why. I did everything everyone told me to do. I'm starting week 2 of P4 and still bouncing up and down 2-3lbs. Correction days always work for me, but then I just gain it back the following day. So not even sure it's worth doing. Good luck and I hope you stabilize. I sure didn't. Sorry these aren't very encouraging words I'm starting a second round as soon as I get my HCG. I'm doing RX this time to see if it's any different (I used the HCG1234 drops for first round). What have I got to lose.

    Unfortunately, steak days don't work for some people.
    You can try a high protein day or an apple day. Steak days, high protein days and apple days work because they help you release water weight.
    What kind of cocktails did you have? If they were high in sugar, your gain may not be water weight. That type of gain can take a few days to correct through clean eating.

    it's likely the exercise and you gained some water weight. It may drop off today or tomorrow. Hang in there and see.

    Don't stress about it try a tuna day it works great for me, I have eggwhites in the morning then tuna in water for lunch and dinner try not to have any mayo or fat for the day. Hvae at alot of tuna for both meals use the bag in spring water or cans in spring water.
    Stay strong you can do it!!

    Another correction day that worked for me was an FFF day (Full Fat Fage). I ate 6 7oz cups of full fat Fage and it worked. Down almost 3 lbs the next day. Also did an egg day- eat 10-12 eggs throughout the day. You can mix with mayo, cook with butter and make them however you want to. It worked for me as well. I also did a shake and steak day. Drank an all natural protein shake in the morning, then ate my steak at night. Kept me from dying of starvation for the day. You can try any of those.

    Thanks for all the suggestions and the support. I really needed it. I've decided to stop freaking out and do a high protein day. I had a one egg/four egg white omelet for breakfast, a small (2-3 oz.) piece of steak at 10am. Will have a huge chicken breast for lunch today, another small piece of steak at 3pm and more chicken tonight. Mixing veggies (no fruit) in there.

    I'm thinking there may be a lot of things at play here. The drinks were straight Jameson on the rocks. No mixers. I think the sauna may have also done more harm than good. I think it just dehydrated me more. Also, my "movements" have been very few. Like maybe one small one in the last WEEK! I can't find the smooth move tea. Are there other options that are pahse 3 safe? I'm also upping my water intake to 150 oz. today at least.

    No more beating myself up. Just need to focus. The good thing is that if I gain tomorrow, I know it's either eggs or dairy. I can cut one out the next day and see what happens. Frustrating. I really haven't added anything in to my diet yet and would really like a flippin' avocado and some cheese!

    I hear ya! I threw caution to the wind since Thanksgiving and said screw it. I'm eating what I want for once. Sick of obsessing about what I put in my mouth. So I ate stuffing, pie, ice cream, and CHEESE!! I probably gained 20lbs, but who cares!!! I'm scared to get on the scale again....

    Protein day netted 168 grams of protein, 66g of fat and 8g of carbs. That has to do something. The only new items I ate were the eggs, cream and a smidge of blue cheese dressing (no sugar) on some lettuce. If I gain, I'll cut the eggs tomorrow and see what happens. I drank well over a gallon of water and found me some smooth move tea crossing my fingers for the morning. Thanks for your help all!

    Are you in the habit of drinking a lot of milk? Milk has a lot of sugar in it and causes problems for many people.
    Just read Weight Loss Apocalypse which gave me new resolve.
    Currently getting back to the ticker weight.
