Is it really beneficial to stick with the Fast Metabolism Diet longer than 4 weeks? In other words the more I stick to the FMD the more I'll have tolerance towards eating starchy foods and not gain any significant amount of weight?
Wow. 28 years. That will take some determination. (just kidding, I'm pretty sure you meant 28 days.)
Its possible. I lost about 2 pounds in the first month I did FMD in P4. Some will lose more, some may not lose at all. Its impossible to predict how your body will respond, but I suspect you will get a good result because you are a guy and guys always have an easier time of losing than women do.![]()

Everyone is different. You have to experiment and see what works for you.
If you are having good results on FMD, and you find it a pleasant way to eat, then it seems a good idea to continue.
By the end of my first month, my carb sensitivity issues were resolved. But it may be different for others.
You don't really gain weight from starchy foods anyway, even though it looks that way on the scale. Because starches take more water to process, your body retains water for that purpose, and that is the gain that shows up on the scale. Once you have gotten your body used to carbs, the water swings are not quite so large.

When you did the FMD did you eat all organic meat, fruits, and vegetables? I'm planning to start the FMD sometime next week.
No, not all, but as much as I can justify. I choose organic when the price difference is minimal. I only buy organic dairy, chicken and beef, but I don't insist on organic for pork or other meats. I just try to find a reputable source. (For instance, I will buy the frozen tilapia from Costco who oversees the farming of their brand, but will not buy the fish from China.) Vegetables and fruits, it depends on what is available.
Just do the best you can. Its all a process.![]()

So far I haven't started on the FMD yet, I do plan to start on February 9th. So far I've been maintaining 170 lbs, along with 22% of body fat. My goal is to get my body fat down to 15% and weigh 150 pounds at the end of my third round of the hCG diet.
Both Kevin Trudeau, and the hCG clinic that I've been going to state that it is important to eat at least 3 or 4 hours before going to bed. The reason behind that is because the metabolism slows down as you go to sleep. I'm trying to make some lifestyle changes such as exercise more, and eat at 6pm since I tend to fall asleep at 10pm.
When you were on the FMD did you eat any sprouted whole grain bread? It says that the portion size for both sprouted grain bread and tortilla isn't stated on the book. So if for an example I ate one sprouted tortilla for lunch, and 1 slice of sprouted Ezekiel bread for dinner, that would be fine?
Yes. The sprouted bread was my favorite part, actually. That and all the fruit. The portion size for the sprouted bread is one slice, or one tortilla for the FMD menus.
I encourage you to get the FMD app. It makes portioning and planning your meals super simple.

If you are female, that's a very low percentage of body fat and you may run into problems with your period, etc. 21-24% is for fit women.

Under where it says "Portion sizes in The Fast Metabolism Diet Phase 1" it says to eat 4 ounces of meat. Is it referring to 4 ounces of meat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner? Or just 4 ounces of meat in total per day during phase 1?
4 ounces meat is the portion size for one meal. Each time you have a meal, you have a protein portion.
Seriously, get the app. It does all that for you. It presents you with with what slots you need to fill in for each meal, and then you pick from the list for the phase you are in. Portions are already figured out when applicable. You can even edit the lists and remove things you know you'll never choose.
I think FMD is too complicated without the app, because who can remember the whole list of items for each phase? The difference in fruit choices, for instance, between Phase 1 and 3 aren't really intuitive or logical to most people. It also doesn't make sense to me that you are allowed a cup of grain for a Phase 1 meal, but a portion of sprouted bread (Ezekiel 4:9) is only one slice. So it helps to have that all lined out for you.

I bought the app but I never use it. It's not totally accurate now and you have to check it against the master food list anyway. I'd join the FB group and download the master list they keep updated monthly. Haylie updates different food items on occasion and it's helpful to have the actual list.
