    Question Dumb Phase 4 question

    I have a dumb question...

Is it absolutely necessary that I keep my calories up on Phase 4? Lots of times I eat when I am not really hungry... just because I think I am supposed to be having around 1800 calories a day.

The last 2 days I have dropped to 1200 calories and lots of protein... I am within 2 lbs of my LIW now... but weight was fluctuating like crazy last week.

    Any suggestions are greatly appreciated...

    Thanks.... Steve

Top of the mornin to ya ~ Steve!!
Be generous with yourself ~ when I was in P4 while I was not hungry, I constantly ate ~ I continued to slowly drift lower than my LDW in round 1, hoping that in round 2 I'll do the same ~ then again this round is about stabilizing for me!!
I noticed in P4 that if I pulled back on the amount of food I was eating my body would want to "hold onto" what I was consuming, on days that I was generous it would be as if my body would say "ok, I can let go of a little fat, she's still giving me fuel" or something like that!! I think if you scan posts, you may find a consensus to continue eating, not so much counting calories but noticing what happens when you consume different type foods
Hope all's well on your side of the planet!! Wishing you much HCG SUCCESS!!

    Hi,

Im curious about what you were/are eating lots of and still lose weight or maintain? IM in P4 and stuck on eating mostly meat bc I am nervous about eating too much greens & gain weight. I need some hearty meals bc I have no problem eating more food if I had some variety.

I am in P4 I guess. Probably 3 weeks in—I have been eating just to eat and make an effort to avoid refined sugars and carbs.....so far so good. Actually was afraid to weigh for 2 weeks. Got up the courage to weigh myself and down 2 pounds lower than LDW but I am happy with that. Been making my own Parmesan crisps. All diff kinds. And almond flour crackers help sometimes. I make those all diff flavors.....dairy is big for me. I could live on berries, nuts, and Greek yogurt. Full fat with cocoa powder and stevia. Add straws frozen are good, and add almonds too! Macadamias, pistachios...deli turkey and cheese, tomato or whatever wrapped in bib lettuce. Steak salad! Yummmmmmm. Geez I better go eat something! Oh don’t forget breakfast! Eggs, bacon...or...cottage cheese & apples—maybe crushed pecans.........

Also almond butter or cheese on apples......tuna salad with Mayo & lots of celery.......I eat when I am hungry......sometimes it’s 5 little mini meals or one meal and at night a big plain full fat Greek yogurt medley which is kind of like dessert but with lots of good fat and tons of protein. My doctor was pleasantly shocked regarding my blood test and how little bad fat I had and how much good fat I had......especially since I am no spring chicken. Also I was tested for antioxidant levels and I have a record high score which also amazed my doctor. Lol probably from the berries almonds wine and white claw.

This was very interesting to read! Love your food choices. I remember eating full fat Fage with cocoa and stevia, like chocolate pudding. Yummy! Not weighing for 2 weeks, and then weighing in at 2 lbs under Last Dose Weight, impressive! It is obviously the processed sugars and starches that do us in! Good post!

Oh I’m glad. I never post but it’s been good & I wanted to brainstorm food! I do miss carbs though. And I caved once with gummi bears! It occurred to me the a lot of antioxidants must be from all the dark chocolate and cocoa/cacao that I consume. One fave combo snack(mini-meal) is blueberries and almonds. 1 almond to 2 blueberries. (You know, the almond-blueberry ratio has to be right lol.) Shrimp is a new thing for me as well. I didn’t care for shrimp but while in P2 ordered a prawn appetizer out of desperation and it—-was—-so—-good. So Shrimp is a new option for me! And Buffalo Chicken dip is great on celery or half an avocado!

I’d love more ideas if anyone wants to share!

Blue cheese dressing/dip. That’s a meal or 2 sometimes!

Calorie counting isn’t necessary. Eat whenever hungry & until satisfied, not super full.

I’d love MORE FOOD IDEAS if anyone would share!

For food ideas on P4 you might want to get a low carb, no sugar or low sugar receipe book--or look on line for receipes. I'm on a planned interruption, eating mostly P3 foods right now, but since it is Mother's Day (only my hubby and I are here, daughter and grandkids in VA), I'm thinking I'll do some fried apples. Apples cut up, put some butter -not a lot--but some in skillets add the apples, cinnamon and water to cook on top of stove, for a sort of dessert--I will also add some Splenda (a lot of people don't like splenda, or approve, but I have always used it--in P2 and P3) and cook until desired tenderness. Plan on using heavy whipping cream and whipping up a touch of whipped cream to put on top. Sort of a special Mother's day treat for us both. We'll have a salad, orange roughy with egg wash in the air fryer for dinner. Food on P3 is good , on P4 you are allowed to add some starches, and carbs, tho--so many choices.
