You might try some recipes for egg white quiches in a cup. Lots of veggies and egg whites might not be too bad for P2. Glad you're nearly there!

I would love to do that, but I have been sensitive to eggs this past HCG P3 and haven't cleared them yet. Being able to use eggs would have definitely made part2 easier. If I could use egg whites, I could have tried a pea protein/egg white/rhubarb muffin or cookie too.

Eggs are usually easily cleared. I wonder what's up with that? I have to think maybe it's not the egg you were reacting to but something else you ate at the same time. Egg is the very first thing cleared in a NAET protocol because it's so easy to clear.

I dunno. I tried them twice this P3 after lasering both times, and had a big rise each time. The second time could have been cheese. But I haven't tried them again since.

It mystifies me. My previous round's P3 was a mess because of eggs and inconclusive testing. I finally figured out that the fresh farm eggs I was getting caused a gain every time, but I could eat store eggs. So strange. I concluded that there was some contaminant (cornstarch or corn in the feed maybe?) that might be the problem with the farm eggs. So this time I didn't expect an issue with store eggs, but again there seemed to be one. I've lasered them again, and after this week, I do intend to try it one more time.

    FMD4: 3-1

Yay, another loss: .6. (147.8 today) I'm now just a bit below my HCG 4 pound window for the first time. So even with all my setbacks, the scale is inching downward.

Back up the .6 I lost yesterday.

Not much else to report, as I didn't try anything new yesterday. I plan to just continue that strategy through this last weekend.

Sounds like you're trucking along Leez!! Which author are you all following for FMD? I'm trying to buy on amazon, and there's soo many different books that say FMD?!

Thanks Mishi, its really been a fairly painless month of doing this, and I've learned a lot.

You want the FMD book by Hayley Pomroy. There might be a couple editions, so the first listing with tons of reviews in the search is probably the most recent version. She also has a cookbook, and an iPhone app. Definitely use the app if you can...it makes it super easy to keep all the menus straight.

    FMD4: 3-3 Last day!

Afraid I have no weight report. Left way early this morning and in a rush, so decided to forgo weighing until tomorrow when I'll give my final result for the 28 days.

Yesterday was challenging. I missed one of the planned meals for the first time because I got locked out of my house and didn't get back in until hours past when I should have eaten. I doubt that will have much impact, however the extreme STRESS of not being able to get DH to respond to my banging, yelling and rock throwing at his window probably skyrocketed my cortisone levels bigtime.

Planning an unexciting eating day, chicken and squash for lunch and hummus for dinner. Maybe some pumpkin thrown in there somewhere.

Yes, me too...the up side to all that angst from being locked out is that now DH is sorely penitent, and is looking for ways to make it up to me. The worst part of it is that he heard me banging for over 2 hours, but ignored it because he thought I was doing some project. (grrr....) I got some neighbors to call his phone, but he had it turned off. Finally, one of the neighbors loaned an extension ladder and a couple of the guys set it up for me to climb up to the window of his room where I could bang on it and get his attention. By that time, I had drawn a crowd and there were about 10 people at street level giving me advice. It turned into a bit of a block party.

    FINAL REPORT after 28 DAYS:

I gained back a pound and a half throughout the last 3 days of the program, and am ending up at 149.2. A total loss for the month of 2 pounds. I never got below my HCG LIW window except to dip below it a scant .2 pounds on Friday of the final week.

So here is the weekly rundown:
    Week 1: .8 loss
    Week 2: 1.2 loss
    Week 3. .2 loss
    Week 4: .2 gain

Am I glad I did it? Yes. Just from the standpoint that for 28 days, I have done no correction days. In fact, except for day 3 of the very first week (and had a 2# loss the next day), I've not been above the top of my window. And I've ended up a couple of pounds lower than when I started. I'm now a little less than a pound below LIW.

I've learned quite a bit doing this. Here's a list:
    - Coffee is not an issue for me. Without it, I did not sleep better, eliminate better, have lower blood pressure, or experience anything that I could call a benefit from giving it up. I didn't even have any withdrawal symptoms. It was something I always wondered about since all my docs always want me to give it up. Now I have proof I don't need to. But if I ever had to, I could live with the Cafix coffee substitute. It doesn't feed the soul or senses like an excellent cup of coffee, but its hot and black and has its own pleasant taste.
    - Removing dairy from my menus also did not produce any discernible benefit.
    - I can handle eating breakfast soon after getting up. I still don't really want to, but its ok.
    - I've learned to use vegetables as dessert. I think I'll do that more often.
    - I discovered kelp noodles. A lovely find, and an amazing addition to my garlic eggplant recipe.
    - Eating more often is a nice way to live.
    - I actually like beef jerky. Its never been on my radar before, but it will be now.
    - Smaller portions. Something I'll take away from this. Before doing FMD, I would not have believed I could be satisfied with a snack of only a few nuts and a cucumber. But eating more frequently makes that work.
    - I can eat more starches if they are not combined with fats. I think this may be the real key for me.

I'm not sure it really sorted any issues food sensitivity wise. It seemed I got mixed signals in that department throughout. However, I did clear a couple more things: oats, sweet potatos, barley, but not much more than that.

The idea that FMD desensitizes you to carbs might be a little of an overstatement. I'm not sure there was any magic "healing" going on. I think its more likely that the control of fat/starch combos in the right proportions is the real magic of this plan. It seems to me that it has more to do with learning how to combine them than it does with any metabolic changes that the program produces.

But regardless, it does seem to have kept my weight stable for a month, and I'm thankful for that.
