Yes so I didn't follow her maintenance. I simply don't eat carbs with fats. So no rice or quinoa with fats.

Do you apply that prohibition to vegetable and bean starches as well? Or just the grain starches?

I was wondering that too....there are so many different food combining models, it's kind of hard to sort them out. For now, I'm considering that it is, so that I can eat apples and nut butter, and raisins and peanuts for snacks.

My jury duty ended yesterday. I did not get picked for the jury. Too bad, it would have been an interesting case, but would have lasted the rest of this week at least.

Anyway, I made it through the two days and finally was able to weigh at my normal time today. I am at 150 (my exact HCG LIW). So no change from my Sat weigh in 5 days ago when I had been on a 3-day gaining streak. I packed my meals while I was at court, so my eating was fairly controlled and on plan, except I didn't eat everything on the required lists for the day.

I'm wondering if there is just too much fat overall in the maintainance plan, at least for me. I've been conservative on the starch amounts, so I'm not suspecting that as a problem at the moment. I was able to eat evening meals at home, so I arranged to eat most of my veggies then, and I didn't include fats, since my packed meals included nuts and nut butter, cream cheese and salami earlier in the day.

I don't think I've ever heard of someone being disappointed at NOT getting picked for jury duty Did you try any of her recipes while you were on FMD? I've seen very mixed reviews so wondering if there were any particular ones you thought you were tasty? I like that she has slow cooker recipes in there.

I think the only actual recipe I tried was the one for beef jerky. It really was very good. You use lime juice in the marinade, so it can be used in all phases. I used it for my protein snacks in phase 2.

I plan to make it again, but with pineapple juice.

I might have used some of the recipes as inspiration, but I cook very simply or just assemble ingredients.

This weekend, I've had to do my first correction day since finishing the 28 day FMD plan. So I didn't even make it a full two weeks without one.

I'm not sure what happened, but this past week, I gained a pound one day, and then two more pounds the next. That put me into correction territory. I did a FFF (greek yogurt) day and dropped back 2 of them. It might be that the phase3 menus have a bit too much fat for me?

I'm going to kind of mix it up from here on and try a phase 1 breakfast (grain and fruit & maybe a protein), a vegetarian phase 3 lunch (beans and veggies with some fat) and then try to eat lots of veggies for dinner with some protein. For snacks, I'm thinking a fruit snack and if a second snack is needed, a nut/veggie or a protein snack. I think I'll make a batch of beef jerky this week for protein snacks.

2-week MAINTENANCE UPDATE: The official Monday morning weigh in: 149.6. So things are ok so far. using the HCG correction technique got me back down out of danger territory. Yesterday, I did my lower fat plan, and today was down another half pound. (<--joy)

The really super-happy part about that is that I ate ezekiel bread all day...6 slices to be exact. (However, I didn't have any other grains yesterday.) But I only had one fat meal. Dinner was low fat, and the others were moderate fat. (between 6 and 20 grams) I might be on to something here. My goal is to be able to eat somewhat normally. And to me, to be able to have a couple sandwiches a day if I am so inclined makes me feel more normal.

Thank you for this detailed review. I'm on what I hope to be my only round of HCG with RX Drops. After 3 days, I'm 1/3 of the way there so I have big hope. I'm not aware of having food sensitivities at this point, but who knows what will happen after I finish my round. After phase 3, if I have trouble adding foods back in, then I know there is options.

Question... What is lasering food? How do you do it and what is it supposed to accomplish?

You'll likely do great in P3. Most people do after their first round. The sensitivity issues seem to present more frequently in the later rounds, from what I've observed. And for myself, I found that to be true. Indeed. The time I spend on FMD was the longest stretch of time since the end of my round that I didn't have correction days. I'm thinking of possibly doing another month of it because I'm starting to struggle to hold my LIW again.

Food lasering is a technique for removing food sensitivities that based on the same ideas as NAET but is simpler and you can do it yourself. All you need is a simple laser pointer, like a cat toy.

There is a big thread on it here: grammy's laser method for food sensitivities And a how-to here: http://hcgdietinfo.com/hcgdietforums...itivity-31617/
