I know, it is amazing me. and--- I lost another pound after the second day now. I'm now only a half pound away from being BELOW the bottom of my window. I've actually gotten to this point a week earlier than last FMD round, and I started out at a higher weight than last time. So interestingly, not only did my changes not hurt the process, I'm actually getting a slightly better loss.

I was wondering if that might be the case. I surely hope so. It just seems so counter intuitive to see losses on high carb days. Logically, it seems you would have water-retention associated with that kind of menu and not show losses.
    -
In any case, I'm highly encouraged that maybe I can just continue on this course and keep losing bits here and there to finally get to my goal. Getting to goal is really important to me because I think it will be my only chance to get off the beta-blocker blood pressure med I have been on for years. According to my doctor, further weight loss could be the solution.

Leez, it's great to read your body is responding so positively to the FMD. Your tone seems like you're thoroughly enjoying it and much less stressed. I think that sticking with it to see if you can continue to inch your weight down to your goal is a great idea since your happy with the good choices and the good pairing is beneficial to your metabolism instead of hurting it.

Thanks for the comments Savannah. You are right, I was more relaxed and enjoyed things much more this time. And, I have a great end of round report!
    -
I have finished the 28 days at 148.4. Which is 1.6 pounds below my LIW of 150, and 5+ pounds lower than the spike that drove me to it this time-haha!. In round 1, I started more than 2 pounds lower than this start weight, and ended up nearly a pound higher than now. So it seems, round 2 FMD was more successful than round 1, even though I relaxed the food choices to include coffee&cream, greek yogurt and peanuts to make it more comfortable. When does THAT ever happen? Maybe you are right, Grammy, that I experienced some healing on round one.
    -
At any rate, I'm planning to continue on and see what happens. Since it seems you can arrange the phase day amounts however you like (as long as you do them all in order), I'm going to try these two sequences: 3-1-3 and 4-1-2, being as my best losses seemed to happen on the non-fat days, and the protein days are much more bearable if you only have to do one at a time. So we'll see how that goes for me. I'll check back in and make some reports as I go.
    -
I have to not get too relaxed though... if I forget to check the app, I mess up the choices. Like today, I knew breakfast was fruit and grain, but didn't look at the fruit choices before making breakfast and picked a plum instead of peach to have with my oatmeal. (I'm having a bowl of oatmeal for breakfast--without fear! This is major for me.)

    STATS FMD round 2:
    -
    week 1: 151.8 - 154.2 GAIN: 2.6 [back to pre-correction weight]
    -
    week 2: 154.2 - 152 LOSS 2.2 [net gain: .2]
    -
    week 3: 152 - 150 LOSS 2 [loss: 1.8]
    -
    week 4: 150 - 148.6 LOSS 1.4 [net loss: 2.8]

Oh wow, that's great news. Hopefully the 3-1-3 will help you drop the last stubborn pounds all while you are enjoying the assortment of food choices and doing good for your metabolism.

I'm personally doing well on p3 right now, but only on day 14. I see that most people that have trouble keeping their weight off don't really have problem until later in P3 and into P4 when their hormones go back to "normal" so I'm still being careful and keeping those starches and sugar out of my mouth. LOL!

Keep us updated. This is a plan that I'm interested in if I discover in a couple weeks that my metabolism needs to do some healing. I've eaten low calories for so many years prior to HCG trying to maintain/lose that I don't know where I will land on the spectrum when all is said and done.

I'm in a pretty good place going into round 3 of FMD. I'm starting at a weight below LIW this time, and not coming off a correction day like the last two rounds. This will be the 2nd week of the 3-1-3 pattern. I'm on the part1-3 today, and am still at starting weight after a pound bump up yesterday. The volatility of the phase rotations has been a bit disconcerting (big jumps both up and down) but at the end of each week it seems there is a small loss.
    -
I'm finding ways to normalize FMD for me without breaking it. I'm pretty jazzed that I've been able to relax some of the rules and still get good results. (Actually, better results than the first round in which I followed all the rules--including NO COFFEE. Now THAT is deprivation!) Really, my additions and tweaks haven't changed much of anything. I wondered if the 2 oz or so of the half&half I put in a day's worth of coffee would have too much fat and mess up the low-fat days, but it hasn't seemed to make any difference at all. Even using 2% Fage as a protein sub on those days seems to be fine. I'm finding I don't have to keep my Ezekiel bread portion to one slice. Or avoid any particular variation of it. (Part1 rules forbid the raisin or sesame topped versions.) Last nights dinner included 2 pieces of Ezekiel raisin toast with part-skim ricotta, and I was still down a pound this morning. My peanut tweak is to use raw organic redskin peanuts and lightly toast them. Other raw nuts are ok, and I eat those too, but these make me happy.
    -
Also, I'm the type of person that forgets to eat, or postpones eating (especially breakfast) so the meal time discipline is actually a good thing for me. Another one of my tweaks is to push the breakfast time to an hour after rising instead of 30 minutes. I seem to need some waking up and morning routine time. It's just less stressful for me than trying to get everything done before coming to consciousness, and still get breakfast within 30 minutes. But breakfast in an hour is still better than "oops...forgot to eat breakfast today...".

FMD round 3 (with Leez tweaks adding coffee&cream, greek yogurt & ricotta, peanuts)

3rd round FMD, end of week 1 report:
    -
I just went right into the next cycle on completing round 2, and so this is my weigh report after finishing up week 1:
    -
Started at 148.6 - this morning: 148.2. So a loss of about a half pound for the week. I'm continuing with my tweaked version as it seems to be working for me. I was around 149 most of the weekend, but somehow, the 3rd day of part 3 produces a loss for me fairly consistently. On the one week last time that I only did 2 days of part3, I had a gain going into the next week. That seems to say something about the cumulative effect of the 3 healthy fat days.
    -
Yesterday, I pushed the envelope a bit by having some (off-plan) plantain chips as some of the dippers for my hummus dinner. That seemed to work out ok. Nice. So now I won't be afraid to have those again at some point and wonder if they will blow up the whole plan. And....I'm off to make my lovely oatmeal breakfast with triple berry compote now.

    3FMD 2-1-1
Here is my end of FMD3 week 1 report:

I'm up 3.4 pounds from last Tuesday. After day 1 last week, I gained a pound and a half, then lost it on the protein day, then over the weekend gained it back again and one more on the good fat days. Yesterday, since I was still close to LIW, I decided to test eggs again and had an egg/avocado breakfast. Today--another pound and scale says: 151.6. I am not happy, but not panicked since I'm still in my window. I guess we'll see what the next few days bring. If I don't have a loss after today, I'm pretty sure that means the egg is still reactive for me. Which is so strange. I've lasered it at least 5 times, and it was never a problem until after my last full round.

I'm following the same plan as normal, except I haven't been drinking all the water, mostly because its cold and drinking water makes me colder. I might try warming it to get more down this week.

Leez, I hope for you that the lasering worked and it's not the eggs. Sounds like a frustrating week.

When it's cold, I drink my water at room temperature in addition to extra decaf green tea.

I hope those pounds come back off and you can clear eggs.

It's very weird that eggs make you gain. They are usually very very easy to clear.
