I'll see what I can do. It will be a couple of weeks before I have time. I'm racing to meet a book deadline of Apr 15, but I'll pull some stuff together when I turn in my manuscript.

My suggestion is to listen to Colleen and follow her advice. There isn't anyone that has more experience with the ups and downs of this protocol, and we are all very fortunate that she cheerfully volunteers her help to anyone who asks.

All of my rounds except the one I'm on now were provided by my doctor via pre-filled syringes. I was never hungry on any of them until this past spring. (a little bit of noticable hunger on skip days, but nothing intense ever). I didn't even know what dose I was on until partway into my 6th round when I started to experience some hunger. Colleen helped me test and adjust my dose after I found out what it was: 165iu. I adjusted down to 135 at that point and was fine after that. I still don't know what brand of HCG I was on. This round, I'm taking Odivac. I started at 125, and adjusted down after about 2 weeks to 110iu. That's working well for me now.

Everyone is a little different. Some do great on high doses like 175. But many have said that Corion is stronger than the other brands, so downward adjustments from the norm of 150 or 125 are sometimes needed.

30-40 pounds is an unrealistic goal for a round for women. The average loss is closer to 20-25. You can expect to lose about .5 pound per day after its all averaged out. Men will lose more, and will often make the 34 pound limit or more. I'm sure you can have success with this if you see it through. I've been at it since 2011, but I'm almost there now. If it can work---without fail---every time for someone like me, its something you can have confidence in.

UPDATE: thoughts about my D-burn experience

I just came to a revelation this past week, and it pertains to this thread, so I'm making an update about it.

After I had done 4+ rounds of FMD, I decided to do the D-burn program. If you've followed this thread, you know that I did the 5 day program, but really didn't have any noticeable results.

Currently I've finished my last HCG round, am at goal and have made it through P3. (omgosh...I'm so excited to be able to type that!) Some things about this last round have been very different. I think I can attribute at least some of that to the time spent on FMD and the D-burn. I think some very significant healing happened that didn't manifest immediately, but showed up in this past HCG round and beyond. I started my final HCG round a couple weeks after completing the D-burn.

First, the D-burn is for healing of the digestive processes. This is the very first P2 where I did not have extreme constipation issues. Instead, things moved along regularly through the whole 7 weeks. That was a big wow for me. I still took magnesium, but I didn't have to take it in dynamite quantities, haha!

Next, I experienced the most amazing torso deflation in the last couple weeks of P2. I went from a 3 inch difference between bust/hip and waist to a SEVEN inch difference. I lost an astounding 5 inches from my waist. I have a woman's shape now, where before, I was a rectangle. That tells me that something about my metabolic syndrome problems has been resolving. I think FMD is responsible for that. I have never experienced that kind of reshaping in any other round.

Also, if you remember, I lost nothing in the 5 days of the D-burn, even though an up to 5 pound loss is expected. I think I now know why. I recently reacted really strongly to chia seed gel with a lot of gas and bloating. The D-burn menus require a morning smoothie, and the recipe for the D-burn one contains...you guessed it....chia seeds. I didn't make a connection to that then, because there is also a soup full of cruciferous veggies and such and I just figured since the program was about digestive issues, that a lot of gas and such was probably normal. However, I think it was the chia seeds that prevented any weight loss from the D-burn for me.

Thanks, and thanks for your encouragements and insights along the way. I'm so impressed by all this that I plan to do the H-burn sometime fairly soon. I still have some menopausal issues that really affect my quality of life (hot flashes and bad sleep). I think investing 10 days is a worthwhile effort to see if H-burn can produce some changes in that area as well. When I do, I'll log it.

I have wanted to do an H burn but I got the book just before going to AZ for the winter and I just didn't get it done. I'm going to though. The recipes are wonderful in that book!

Looks like another book I may have to get. I have to finish reading the ones I have. But still in P2 anyway, so have some time here.

I thought about it a really long time before trying it. The ban on dairy and coffee was almost a deal-breaker for me. I did do the first 28 days without them, and although it was a sacrifice, I managed and found I didn't mind the coffee substitute (I used Cafix, which was fine black), although I would not choose it over real coffee.

The other rounds I ignored that part and used my coffee w/cream freely, and also would sometimes sub greek yogurt for a protein here and there. That made it much more liveable for me. There wasn't any difference in results, really. Both kept me in my HCG window. But I'm glad now that I pushed through that initial resistance.

Leez, since dairy doesn't bother you, you might find you really like Trim Healthy Mama which uses the same principles as FMD. The main difference is the freewheeling part. You can eat any kind of meal as long as you have a 3 hour window between.

That's a good idea. Keeping the rotations in FMD is a little more restrictive, so THM does seem easier for the long term. Maybe I'll launch into THM once I get through the H-burn. I'm starting to get stuff together from the shopping list. I might be ready to do it soon.

    Love this FMD recipe....

This is a great new FMD recipe that can be used on the H-burn (I think the one included in the book uses some kind of mango dressing). I've been loving this on P3. It is very light, but satisfying.

The combination of spinach, cilantro, avocado and grapefruit is cited to provide micronutrients to support the liver, gallbladder and thyroid.

    http://hayliepomroy.com/h-burn-recip...pefruit-salad/

I substitute MCT for the grapeseed oil (its just as flavor neutral), and double the avocado and use xylitol instead of stevia, but other than that, I follow the recipe. It's delicious. I love how the grapefruit juice is the basis for the dressing. You can punch up the acidity if you like with some coconut vinegar as well. I try to get ruby red grapefruit for this when I can.

Additions that are yummy: bacon crumbles, cracked pepper.
