I'd try it again. The only 2 things lasering might not work on are gluten and dairy.

Almost done with week 1. So after day 2 of part3, I'm up another .4 pounds. That means I'm now just a bit heavier than when I started. At least it wasn't 2 pounds up like yesterday. Not sure what to make of that since my menu yesterday was pretty much the same as the day before.

Trying not to stress out, but I'm getting awfully close to gaining past my 2 pound window.

I think I'll console myself today by lasering not just eggs, but everything on my "no" list.

This morning, we were gone from the house, so I had to pre-plan and take my morning snack. It worked out fine, even though I had to eat it about an hour late, and it pushed my menu hours back a bit for the rest of the day.

I suspect you will lose some this week. The first week is often as it went for you. It takes a bit for your body to adjust. But the biggest value is that we can eat carbs again without big gains!

I don't know why I didn't think of that (the body adjusting part), but somehow it didn't occur to me. anniem just reminded me of that same thing--and it makes sense that it would be a lot like the first week of HGC P3 with all the wild scale swings.

And happily, at the official start of week 2, I lost a pound from yesterday, and am at 150.4, .4 above LIW. So my net LOSS *cheers* for week one was .8 pounds.

Carbs without gains....I must keep that goal in sight. My main goal though is just to stabilize without the creeping gains that I have not been able to overcome each round after P3. Any extra weight loss is a bonus.

Woohoo. Down .4 to 150 which is my LIW. I could get used to this losing while eating all day thing.

Thats the good part. I'm glad I have lull in commitments right now and have basically a whole month I can be at home and do this. I'm sure if I didn't, I could manage by pre-planning and prepping meals and snacks to take with me, but it is so much nicer to just go with what looks good from the food list for each occasion. When I do make a recipe, I make extra so I have something ready if I want to use it, but mostly my choices are simple.

This morning I had sweetened spiced pumpkin spread on Ezekiel bread toast and a peach for breakfast. A bit unconventional, but quite good.

I bet you'll lose nicely tomorrow too. After I got rolling, my best losses were on Phase 1, strangely enough. Your breakfast sounds good!

You won the bet! I did drop another .2. That doesn't seem all that impressive, except that it puts me at 149.8. And anything under 150 is in normal BMI range for me, so I'm happy-dancing today. I really appreciate your encouragement. Last week I was not sure I had made the right decision to try this.

The loss today totally amazes me, because it seems like I ate so much yesterday. That included both brown rice and brown rice pasta. I even had some butternut squash in between meals, and an extra fruit snack last night because I was up late. I've been trying to add in extra veggies whenever I have room.

I tried the pea protein shake again this morning with rhubarb, spinach/kale/chard greens blend, lime and some xylitol. Much better than last weeks try. I still need to tweak it a bit as I got it a little too sweet. Might add a knob of ginger to the next one.

Coffee substitute report: I've tried three brands now, (Roma, Pero, Cafix) and Cafix seems the best to me. It has a little bit of bite the other two don't. Roma and Pero taste about the same, but Pero is very foamy when you add the hot water--which I don't care for. I'd like to try Teechino (which is not instant, but you brew it like real coffee). Unfortunately, it contains almonds, which have been a problem for me in past P3s. I lasered them yesterday along with oats and a bunch of other stuff, so maybe I'll give them a test this weekend and try some almond milk.

That is awesome!! And you should drop the next two days. Then maybe be careful with whatever starch you add on P3.

I'm considering trying this when I get to P4, am scared though as I saw a bunch of "unsuccess" stories on Haylie Pomroy's website. Are you taking your measurements too or just weighing?

@Grammy: I'm looking forward to that drop. (Last week, it was nearly 4 pounds. ) Right now, my only safe starches are Ezekiel bread and brown rice. Since I lasered oats, should I try them again? Or something new, like maybe quinoa? ( I would love me some quinoa cooked with pineapple on part1. ) I didn't laser sweet potatos yet.

[just a background note: I've been tested for celiac, gluten and wheat sensitivities and don't have any of that.]

    ===================================

@pinkita: I actually didn't think about taking measurements, but I'm pretty sure the ones that I took at the end of the last HCG round stayed pretty accurate afterward. I didn't notice any "reshaping" this P3--all clothes fit pretty much the same. So maybe I'll do a measurement check when I'm done.

After my last HCG round, I waited for for over 2 months before I started FMD. My personal opinion is that it would have been too fast for me to start this plan until I had settled out in P4 for a while. I would have waited even longer if I hadn't started to lose ground on my correction days. I did not want to start that regain cycle again!

There seems to be a little confusion about how long P3 really is. I personally consider P3 to be 6 weeks long, not 3, with the second two weeks still part of P3, but starting to add back starch and sugars. (This is consistent with Linda Prinsters HCG Weight Loss Cure Guide). Are you thinking of starting FMD right after 3 weeks of HCG P3? I think some others talked about intending to do that, but I don't know how it went for them.

Hi Leez, I was thinking of trying FMD after 4-5 weeks of HCG P3. I have Hashimoto's thyroiditis and a very sluggish metabolism. I worry about having to eat by the clock w/ this though, especially while at work!
