Kept the loss today...so continuing with part2, except I'm putting a grapefruit in my greens and herbs smoothie. I think I'll then do part3 for 2 days and try to increase veggies more than normal and see how I do with that.

Just checking in. . Weight is stable. No gains, no losses. I've been to the beach several times this week and am planning to go most of next week. I'm in week 3 of the fmd. I'm thinking about doing a burn after the 28 day program is over.

hmmm.... up a half pound today. So on to part3. I'm going to do these 2 days ( and probably part1 as well) with beans for my protein. I need to get away from meat for a while. I suppose I just need to continue on and trust the process, since I can't seem to make any headway by changing it up.

No, hadn't even heard of it. I looked it up and from a quick scan, it looks even more exact and hard to follow than FMD. But for someone that wants to eat cream of wheat and pizza , I can see how it might appeal.

really?! I didn't see cream of wheat or pizza..... imagine eating those foods and losing... hmmm..
well I was just curious-- it is an older diet...

I like the fmd-- but no wine is getting on my nerves-- I'm starting to crave some wine and my coffee. Only 1 1/2 weeks left. I'm thinking my first meal after the plan will include a nice goblet of wine. lol

I saw those in the menu options in this overview article: http://www.chewfo.com/diets/super-sh...013-food-list/ pizza and cream of wheat are so far away from the kinds of choices I make now that it seems alien to even think about eating them again. Seriously.....if clean eating was the total answer, I would be having no regaining issues.

I did manage to get through my first month of FMD without coffee, but after that, I didn't restrict it in further months. I didn't see that it changed the way the program worked in any way for me. But then again--I have no reaction to caffeine one way or the other normally, so that may or may not hold true for someone that does.

So, up another .8 today. Something I ate yesterday really bloated me, and I couldn't burp to get any relief until partway through the night...it was uncomfortable. I'm suspecting that one bite of black beans (only one, because that bite told me the beans had gone bad) may have caused a little food poisoning reaction. But I can't think of any other reason as all my choices were from my safe foods list. Probably just the effects of a part3 menu which always seems to make me gain. I didn't even have a dinner grain or starch--I had the green H-burn smoothie instead. That should have been a good choice. But it was right after that that I got super bloated. I'll try to be careful again today and then tomorrow starts part1 again.

I didn't use that website to check it out- so that explains the different info- I can see what you mean about the clean eating.

That phase 3-- do you think it's the grains? Or the combination of the p3 foods? Haylie took much effort to make her specific lists for the foods to interact for an optimal metabolism-- but it doesn't seem to be work for some people. Have you emailed her team about figuring out why p3 has been so volatile for you?
I emailed her about a separate subject and got a response within 2 days...
I'm wondering if one can just do phase 1 & 2.. and then cycle.... hmmmm-
I like the variety on p3, but everything is in smaller quantities-- and I find myself wanting more sugary items...
I am definitely more bloated in the belly and hands since starting fmd- but my tape measure would disagree. I can see a difference in the backs of my hands and fingers. My rings use to fall off my fingers, but now they fit....

I haven't been as devoted to reading the posts as in the past. Do you consider yourself stable on fmd?

I was stable week to week on FMD after my previous HCG round. This one doesn't seem to be working that way yet.

I haven't figured out what it is about part3 yet. I did get some advice from her postings to do the H-Burn menus to replace part3, so I tried that. It was a disaster. I gained 3 pounds on that part3 and I still have them. Then Colleen suggested I might have had some inflammation and to try the I-Burn. I did that this past week instead of Part3. The couple of pounds lost after the last day of that came right back. The Burns are supposed to get you losing again.

In a way, I guess you can say I'm stable, since I'm less than a half pound over the weight I started at. But that is not really acceptable to me since my weight had jumped up a lot right before I started. I'm going to try to be patient, follow the plan, and see if all this will work itself out.

It was scary getting on the scale this morning, but I was relieved to see no significant gain today. I'm launching into week 3, part1 in faith that things will turn around and I can start edging down again with these 4 low-fat days. Its not fun being at a higher weight than when I started. Got it get it down out of the danger zone.

I have a beautiful heirloom tomato that will figure into todays menus, but the pineapple I bought yesterday is not a good one....so thats a big disappointment. But onward!

Decided to make something a little different for lunch today. I made cashew crusted Turkey loins with a sweet potato and a peach for dessert. OHHHHHH-- It was delicious and I am so happy that I made way too much and have to freeze some for another day. Scale was up today by +.2. Not sure what that is about, but it's minor and I'm confident it will work itself out.
I'm learning a lot about this plan as I go... at first I mainly jumped onto the plan- to lose weight and get to LIW. But I can see it's so much more than losing weight. It's really about repairing all the damage that years of dieting and not eating "real" food has done to the body. Some people just don't lose on the diet because they still have repairing going on. Some others go up and down and then there are those that just lose. Just like everything else- IT'S ALL PERSONAL. I have to keep reminding myself, that my body needs to heal. I've put it thru a lot in the last 20 years..

I may be back on track now. I had a good loss after the first part1 day this week. So now I'm at least back where I began. Those were really good thoughts about the healing FMD can bring. Like, you kapluzie, I want some stability and a little loss as well. And I'm happy for ANY healing that goes on in the process. I just don't want to be GAINING while all that is going on!

I tried some of the tweaking suggestions for the plan and have been making smoothies with my fruit and greens that contain a lot of herbs (cilantro & basil). I tried another plateau breaking veggie suggestion yesterday by making mashed radishes. I had a partial bag of them left from one of the I-Burn recipes, so I thought, why not give it a try and use them up? I have never liked radishes, but read that they can be made sweeter by boiling for 45 minutes. So I did that with some garlic and added some caramelized onions in when I mashed them. They were actually pretty good and kind of potato-like. You could probably make a pretty decent hash by slicing or chopping them after cooking instead of mashing. Or maybe even a "potato" salad..they even look like little tiny red potatoes.
