    Found Another Correction Day that works For ME!

    I've been on this forum for a few years now, and over the past 2=3 years since I've been in P4 I've developed slow digestion issues that prevent steak days from working for me anymore. I've had to discover other foods that don't take so long for my body to digest as steak but allow losses as good as steak days use to for me which was normally 3-4 lb.

    Last Sunday, after eating tons of super bowl buffalo wings and all kinds of crunchy salty bagged snacks, I was up 4.6 lb. on Monday morning, but was also busy and away from home all day. I decided to try an experiment where I picked up two bottles of the ready made protein shake known as "Muscle Milk" which is non-dairy but has 48g protein and 260 calories per bottle, from the convenience store when I stopped for morning coffee. I drank one bottle of the vanilla flavored at 9 am, drank water for the rest of the day, then had the second bottle of the chocolate flavored at about 6PM.

    I'm happy to report that I was down exactly 3 lb. the next day, and then had dandelion tea for breakfast and an inflammation smoothie for dinner, which allowed me to drop 2.6 more the following day.


    I wanted to share this with anyone who has problems with successful results from steak days like me.

    Hats off to you sdwis for being able to do a virtual 2 day fast. You deserve that 5+ pound reward.

    That the protein drinks worked so well does pose an interesting thought. I wonder if you blended your steak day meal if it would make a difference for you? Unless its the meat that your body just can't handle.

    Hi Leez,

    I think it's the meat and eating it late (5 or 6 PM). I did try another experiment a few months ago where I had coffee for breakfast and ate a steak around noon. I was down 1.6 lb. the next day. Otherwise , doing a "real steak day", I will only lose .4-.8 lb, and have even gone up a pound sometimes, even when I know it's not sensitivity inflammation-related
