Thread: Been off HCG and have gained back 47lbs after a 30lb loss.

  1. #1

Been off HCG and have gained back 47lbs after a 30lb loss.

The title basically explains it. I followed everything to the letter. Never cheated and after 9 months my body still hasn't evened out. I feel like I created a monster. This can't be good for me. Wondering if anyone has had something similar happen and if so were you able to get it under control? Either by going back to the HCG diet or something else. I did try to do a second round but I couldn't stomach the food. I have never been so nauseous in my life. Thanks for you help!

Hi... i want to help. Did you return to your prior eating habits? Because that just doesn't work, even though Simmeons said you could in the 50's....that was based on the food available in that era, not all the chemically processed stuff we have now. Did you notice a pattern in your weight gain? After eating certain foods, like grains?

Did you do P3 and P4 to a T? Also continue as Dr. Simeon's suggested so when you gain 2 lbs. you do a correction instead of letting it get out of hand. Also have you tried protein shakes? Are you eating enough protein? lacking in protein can cause weight gain. Look into some of the hhcg diets that are recommending a higher calorie diet. Maybe that would help.

Eat no bread, especially wheat bread. Stay away from ALL processed foods. Eat only grass-fed beef, wild caught fish, organic vegetables and fruits. Exercise every other day. This WILL fix any problems you have. If and ONLY if you follow it.

Maybe but it has happened before. Other issues are going on, like hormonal imbalances coming to light, heavy metal or other toxicity, etc. To gain optimal health, these things would be important to look into as the weight is really just another symptom.

Even Dr S didn't have a 100 percent success rate....if I remember correctly, he had like a 75 or 80 percent success rate. So, yes, you will see cases where hcg does not work. And that can happen even if all other factors like cheating and good eating are controlled. But that is still a higher success rate than any other diet out there.

I agree this probably was not a real post. People are paid to go to forums and news article and bash natural products, or whatever they are paid to disagree with.

I think it is super important to continue weighing. The books says if you have a 2 lb gain, you need to skip the next meal.

There are a lot of things that Letterfly left unsaid.

I have a neighbor who lost more weight on HCG than that, & gained back more than that, so I know that it can happen. I saw my friend about mid-way through my 1st Phase 2, & was very discouraged, until I began asking her questions. She basically made her own rules throughout the whole process! She did a 70 day Phase II, with no breaks, and began eating and drinking everything she wanted, after she lost the weight.

efsaturn is RIGHT! Dr. Simeons said that if you have a 2 lb. gain, you need to skip a meal, re-group, and get it together; NOT after 47 pounds!!!

Did Letterfly use real HCG? Or, did she basically use water under her tongue, several times a day? She posted that bomb, and never came back to answer any questions, so we'll never know.

I know this thread is kinda old now, but I didn't know where to place this. I know a fella ( the one that told me all about hcg for my daughter and myself) and he did an amazing job with his diet...went from a big fella to a WOWZERS fella. Lost over I think 100 lbs and was looking good!!! He was all into exercising and stuff doing some marathon with his family which he'd never been able to do before, it was all exciting living it through his emails with him. I couldn't wait for results like his! Then down the road, a different job or I don't know what, it's like he gave up. He's gained most of his weight back and now sits behind his computer playing games and stuffing his face with the same stuff he did before...it breaks my heart.

He didn't keep with a healthy life style, that happens with all weight loss when you go back to your old habits. Very few of us will ever be able to eat any and everything we want all the time. I was amazed when I read that a very high percentage of bariatric surgery patients gain 75% or more of their weight back in a few years. I see it where I work, all use the same for stress, job change, etc etc. If you are alive, you have stress in your day. Your adult children moving home because they can't find a job is no reason to eat like crap. If they are living in your house and not buying food, they will eat what you provide them. I know for a fact how quick I could slip back to eating 500 grams of carbs or more daily. It can't happen, if we don't let it happen. I will pick one day a month to eat crap, i know I will have to sometime, i will want to. If i put a limit to it, it shouldn't matter.
