    Question I want to lose weight in P4

    HI,

    I have about 5 lbs to lose, and I dont want to do another rd so how can I lose weight now that Im in P4 maintenance stage?

    If you figure it out let me know I can drop 2-3 lbs on p4 but never 5. And i call those vanity lbs because i am happy with my current weight I eat a variety of foods

    You could try a steak day a week and see if that gradually drops off those pounds.

    I cn usually drop abut 3 lbs. in a month and keep if off with intermittence fasting (no food on the fast days, only liquids)

    Went from Size 14/16 at my heaviest to Size 2/4 now!!!

    I fast most days, skip breakfast, and limit carbs &no sugar but still cannot move more than 2 lbs which I feel is mostly water.

    Are you keeping a food log to help identify what your sensitive inflammatory foods might be? Sometimes if you've eaten those, it may take more than one day to go back down.

    I add so little new foods, I know what causes a wt increase bc its usually one food item. I usuallly stay away from that food and go back to what I know I can eat without the gains.

    M not an expert but with all my rounds you would think i should be, I find having a variety of foods in P4 but watching my calories and the time of day i eat are big factors. Ate Small potato Today with chicken breast, broccoli and asparague. Half pt of strawberries hit the spot. Yesterday main meal was tilapia rice cauliflower and green beans StayinG 3-4 lbs under LIW and not hungry so something is working.

    That sounds like you have it figured out, I need more variety, Im sick of eating baked, grilled, air-fried chicken.

    Not figured out but at least staying under liw I eat bacon for breakfast every morning and a pureprotein chocolate bar for snack. Small apple fish and veggies for lunch. Midday i eat bowl of blueberries or strawberries and Pure protein choc bar for afternoon snack or for later. Dinner I eat delimeat with slice of white cheddar melted and leafyngreens wih touchnof mustard . The pure protein bar has about 15 g carbs ..3 are sugar Sometimes i eat an ounce of nuts instead of apple for snack. I do watch amounts of what i eat unlike p3. I only occasionally eat small amt of grains. Only dairy is white cheddar or asiago cheese and butter, Am probably eating under 1400 cal per day but no less than 1200 . I am 77 years old so do not require high calories, i used to eat up to 1600 cal and not gain but started creeping gains if i ate over 1700 . I am trying harder this time in P4 not to be obsessive but to be mindful. If i have spec occasion like mothers day i will eat a piece of cake but will bot weigh myself for a couple of days to allow any bloating to go away and not get excited if scale jumps up. Mental issue for me.
