    P4 gigantic gain

    Dear All,
Can someone give me some insight? I am so discouraged.
I reached my goal of 130 for the second time in June. (did it earlier in the year, but couldn't stabilize) Then I went down to 125 during P3. slowly went back up to 130 I was stable for 9-10 weeks on P3 foods. Still mostly doing P3 foods but weight has escalated to 139 with no hope in sight. Not cheating... eating fruits, veg. nuts, lots of cheese, beef chicken, salads...
TOM is missing...haven't seen him (her?) for months...had assumed it was the diet. Could this be something related to peri-menopause...
I am so distressed...have tried steak day, tuna day weight won't go down...just keeps going up....Will do anything. Anybody have any suggestions.
    Thank you!

    Hey there,
First off, take a deep breath...I've had to do this several times. In fact, every day, there is peace in letting go and really listening to my body. I think doing HCG helps us go on automatic -- we know what to eat, when to eat, when to weigh, what the scale should say depending on what we eat the day before. I've had to move my needle back to self-awareness several times throughout the past year on this plan. One way is to function outside of the scale, and really do a self check-in on where my body is at. Do this for as long as it takes to get present --for me, this means my inner voice is louder and more powerful than the voice of the scale. When I've done this in the past, the first question I ask myself is: "how am I feeling?". Next, Is there a possibility hormones could be at play? Ask yourself if you are eating something that is making you feel weak? I'm not sure your age/situation, but another obvious question to ask is: are you pregnant? Another: What role is stress playing in your life? If you were to ask yourself - at the gut level - what's causing the gain, does something surface? All of this information may either lead you to a solution to drop back down to your LIW, peace the weight you are at, or maybe even a doctor's visit.

This is simply just a more self-aware or spiritual take on figuring out what's causing your gain. I'm a professional coach, so asking these questions to my clients usually gets them back into alignment pretty quickly. For me, it's been a long journey in reconciling my inner peace/love with manifesting outward sheek . All in all, though, I know taking a step back and "in", in times I've been physically stuck on this diet, has helped me the most. Good luck!

charlotte- you say you're still doing mostly P3 foods- what have you added back? something you added must be a problem.

i also gain quickly whenever i go off P3- frustrating, i know.

Thank you for responses! The non-P3 things I have tried are lentils, granola...and 2.5 ounces of dark chocolate, eaten over 2 days. Gained after each one and can't get it off. I did eat a small amount of bacon two days in a row. I didn't gain then, but didn't lose either. Other than that, nothing other than P3...not one slice of bread since 2010...not a cookie, nothing with flour. The only thing I can think of is that I eat lots of nuts and cheese, perhaps too much. And 5 nectarines in a row one day...they are in season.
If anything, my calories might be low on some days, but I am not hungry. I don't buy low fat anything, so the fat content of everything is normal.
From what I'm reading, I can't just starve it off the old fashioned way, but that is what I am tempted to do! The gain has been so fast and so dramatic! Will try a correction day again today.

i'm guessing the wheat in the granola? Nuts and cheese are problems for me, too. The problem with eating low carb is that much of what we like to eat is very calorie dense. most of us should be eating a lot more veggies/salads than we do, imo. if you are limiting from then all that is left is meat, dairy, nuts, fats- all very high in calories.

I've been pretty good about the veggies, mostly dark leafy greens, but lots of others. So today I will try an egg day, a long walk and a pregnancy test . I am also reading through the Leptin reset threads. Have purchased the cold pressed coconut oil, but don't know what I should do with it or why?!

i would not do an egg day unless you're absolutely certain that eggs are not a problem in high quantities. many people are sensitive, to one degree or another.

Charlotte, how are you doing ??? I've struggled with getting stable must in P3. 6 weeks out from P2 and am still in P3, and several times seeing what you are seeing.
I finally went back to P2 foods and a couple of steak days. Still 4# above LDW, but maybe this is just where my body wants to be. Hoping you had some success in getting back down closer to your LDW!
