I just checked and chia seeds are included in several different recipes, even my fave ginger/carrot soup. Also cookies and smoothies. Did you read that Lyn-Genet said this herself or someone reported it? Because the book doesn't indicate that at all.

On the chia seeds, that was a report from someone that apparently had done the paid consultations and is supposedly why Lyn-Genet told them. (found it on a google search)

Thanks for claryifying the Sami's thing...I thought it was a typo. I see its millet and rice based. The loaf looks beautiful. But the baking powder would nix it for me anyway because of the cornstarch. I don't dare test corn at this point. But I am toying with the idea of testing an egg for a new protein. I don't know if I'm brave enough though. Still debating. But....I passed almonds even though I thought they were a problem, so maybe.....

I had carrot soup at lunch yesterday. I'm not sure it slashed anything since I gained again. :/ But I'm thinking it may not be food reaction at all and may be totally related to missing the Armour Thyroid dose.

I guess I could go back to day 2 except that I'm still iffy on whether I reacted to the rice or not. I'm doing day8 today with carrot soup and carrots today at lunch, so we'll see how that goes. If I'm not losing or still gaining, I guess I'll go back to one of the cleanse days. I feel like I'm going to turn into a carrot soon.

You could always try making your own sourdough bread. Usually missing my thyroid meds don't affect weight at all, especially not that soon. It takes days and days for the thyroid levels in your blood stream to fall.

I was thinking that maybe because the cleanse makes our bodies so super-sensitive that reactions might be faster. That could explain gaining on a friendly day. But granted, so could a delayed reaction.

Making my own bread is a great idea. My poor bread maker has been gathering dust since I started HCG 4 years ago. It would be lovely to get it out and working again.

    Results from friendly day8:

    Loss: 0

So, still not able to move on. I started logging my meals into FitDay yesterday. I was surprised to find out that my calories for the day were this high: 2200, and that 58% was fat. No wonder you feel like you are eating plenty on this plan.

I'll be doing a cleanse day today, but not sure which. I'm out of kale, so probably day 3. Maybe I'll use it as a re-test for chickpeas. I'll also sub out the soup for carrot soup one more time.

Leez- I find it mind blowing how we can consume that amount of calories in a single day and not have major gains.. there is definitely something to food combinations.. I guess we all just need to find the right combo for our own bodies.
I'm 5'2" and curvy in nature

I know, its kind of like how our mind is blown in P3 when we can load up on so much good stuff without fear of gaining. But even so, I would struggle in P3 to keep above 1700 calories. So this is even more amazing, because I don't feel like I'm overeating, but I am satisfied. This has the potential to be just as freeing as P3, maybe more. My sense is that if I can learn to accurately interpret my body responses, I will eventually have a list of foods that I don't have to wonder about anymore. I would love to finally be able to relax and eat things that I like without fear.

Colleen...so funny! But you are totally right. I should NOT test chickpeas today. I have to rein in my impatience better and just keep doing friendly days until I'm sure the inflammation is gone and its safe to test again.

Incidentally, I think I found out why almond milk isn't really offered in the menus without testing even though the ingredients in the Silk versions are basically the same beyond the milk source. The sodium in a C. is 160mg. Coconut milk has only 35. Thats a big difference.

Just got some super good news. The pharmacy was able to get the WP Thyroid I wanted (to replace Armour) and get this: It will only cost me $7/mo co-pay. My co-pay for the Armour is now $30/mo. wow. big difference! WP Thyroid used to be known as Westhroid. I can get a similar deal on Nature-Throid (same company) if for some reason WP doesn't work out for me.

WP doesn't have the cellulose ingredient that has been problematic for absorption with Armour after they changed their formulation. And Armour also contains dextrose, which is sourced from cornstarch. So I've been poisoning myself in little minute doses every time I take it. So crazy...that was a problem with a corn-based ingredient in the BP med I had to wean off too...I started to get allergic reactions to it.

In fact, WP brand has minimal inactive ingredients. Inulin and MCT. And thats it. So hopefully, it might even work better for me than the Armour. I guess we'll see. I'll be popping the first one tonight.

Congrats Leez! I've always taken my thyroid in the middle of the night or morning if I don't wake up. You take yours in the evening? Does it interfere with your sleep? I have enough difficulty sleeping. What are the benefits? Thanks!

When I started taking it at night, I finally saw my body temps come back to normal. I'm consistently in the high 98 range now. That's like 2.5 degrees up from where I used to be, even with the Armour. I think it may have been a conflict with the calcium in the half&half I use in my coffee. The meds say not to take them within 4 hours of ingesting calcium. It apparently hinders absorption.

I was hoping it might help sleeping, but it didn't affect my sleep in anyway I could tell. I also take ashwagandha in the morning as thyroid support.

    That is awesome, Leez!

Last, I posted an article about taking it at night a while back. Not sure where it's at. But it helps with sleep and absorption of the hormone. I've been doing it about a year now, I think. I couldn't believe the difference it made in my sleep.
