Colleen, that makes me feel a lot better to know thats not an abnormal amount for a schedule change. I had a deep S dinner around 6pm today and have been sipping on hot Shrinker the rest of the evening, so we'll see how it goes tomorrow.

LV: I don't suspect the salt. I'm not particularly salt sensitive anyway, but I always use the fresh-bagged sauerkraut and rinse it really well before I cook it which removes a lot of the salt. But I did have some more tonight, so hmmmm.

Phew! A relief to step on the scale and be down 1.2 from yesterday. That's not the whole gain, but a big part of it. I would never have imagined that just eating late would make that much of a difference. Its not something I paid attention to before, except during THE PLAN, and with that it seemed it had a lot more to do with water consumption timing than eating schedules.

The best part is that I didn't do anything in particular to make it happen. Just kept following THM rules. I had the pork and kraut again for dinner yesterday.

I was pretty sure it would come right back down. Eating late is usually the reason I gain when I travel. We tend to eat dinner later and after 3 or 4 days of that I'm usually up 5 pounds. It comes right back off but it's very annoying.

Hi all, I may chime in from time to time as I am trying THM. I need to lose, again but as we travel and entertain a lot it is not the time for hcg. I can do it when I have little going but that is not the case right now. I have been a yo yo with 20lbs.

I am away and did not bring my scale as I don't want to worry right now about up or down. I took my measurements Jan 1st and my jeans don't lie!!!

I just made the Egg Roll in the bowl from the cookbook and it was delish!
I made it for lunch for myself and I wanted some for leftovers but hubby came home early and ate two bowls! I guess I should not have halved the recipe! Lol!

I really like eggroll in a bowl. I've made it several times already.

Welcome Sunshine. I starting to learn to relax into the flow of THM finally. It should be great for traveling, the rules are so easy to follow once you are familiar with them.

Colleen you are so much better at figuring this stuff out than me. My first response to a big gain is always to suspect some trigger food. I'm so glad you are following this thread.

    Leez,

Thx for documenting your journey with THM. we're on a similar timeline, I've been doing THM for about four weeks. Started it at the very beginning of p4 (after my first round of hcg).

So far, it has helped me tremendously with maintenance as I have been able to easily stay within 3 lbs of ldw (aside from a small champagne slip up on nye, a girls gotta live though, I'll get it off shortly ).

It's also given me so much food freedom. I feel no need to cheat because I feel as if I'm eating whatever I want. Strawberry cheesecake shake feels downright sinful. I also have purchased the baking blend, gluccie, the sweeteners etc. the gentle sweet is a godsend as I couldn't get over the bitterness of stevia prior. The super sweet works really well too (unless it's mixed w chocolate then I still find it bitter).

With the THM goodies I've made cheesecakes, brownies, chocolate chip cookies, no bake cookies, gluccie puddings, glycine glory puddings, trimmies, big boys, the list goes on and on.

I've also reincorporated grains into my life when I was primarily super low carb prior to my last hcg round. Grains made me gain like crazy. Now I have an e breakfast and an e snack almost everyday.

The verdict is still out on whether I can lose, though. I only have 10-15 lbs left to lose and historically it's very hard for me to lose any weight. I'm keen to see if the scale will start moving after 60 days.

Either way, I feel hopeful that I have found a sufficient maintenance plan. Me and my husband plan to start trying for a baby this year and I would love for this to be a good way for me to have a healthy pregnancy where I can eat nourishing and delicious foods but not gain excessive unnecessary weight.

I'll keep y'all posted on any changes.

What a nice post, peachlove. I'm excited for you planning a baby and the prospect to have such good nutrition during your pregnancy. It seems to me that supporting a healthy pregnancy is what Pearl and Serene are really good at. Being as they are in that time of their life themselves, they are doing all your experimenting for you and are really tuned into the needs of women in their child-bearing years. I think I read somewhere that Serene has 9 kids already and is working on another?

I have only tried a few of the treats that don't need eggs, like the frappe, big boys and puddings. And DH likes the gummies. Mostly I have cocoa crack or my 30-second protein cookie if I'm wanting a desert. I'm waiting for my baking blend to arrive so I can try some other recipes. But every recipe for main dishes I've tried from the cookbook is quite good. We had the lazy lasagna tonight and really enjoyed it. I've just been leaving eggs out of the non-baked goods recipes that call for them rather than trying to sub, and that's been working fine. I'll eventually get up the nerve to test them again at some point, but not just yet.

THM (Trim Healthy Mama) for P4

It will be interesting to see if THM will work for weight loss for me. I can see maintaining this way for sure. I know HCG works! It almost seems to good to be true to eat and lose weight! Lol! I ate my leftover egg in a bowl for breakfast. I think I will make some kind of E lunch but not sure.

I have made no treats at this point.

Me too. I need it to work for weight loss to get back to my LIW. I'm up some again today. I got involved in a project last night and didn't remember to eat dinner at the right time. At least I know now that that will cause a gain. So onward. S breakfast today and I have my shrinkier sipper ready to go.

Made creamy Cajun chicken for dinner last night. Served over spaghetti squash. It was very good and will be added to dinner rotation.

I plan to really get into more of the great recipes in the new cookbook. I was slow to add new entrees when I just had the old book as an ebook.

    Plan for this week

    Monday : blt frittata S
    Tuesday :crispy salmon siesta S
    Wednesday:cab and sausage skillet S
Thursday: pot roast with radishtoes and gravy S
Friday : egg roll in a bowl E version

Most of my dinners are S. Anyone recommend any E dinners?

On another note, DH took my cookbook to Office Depot this morning to get it spiral bound and to add laminate to the front and back covers. Ugh. The guy punched holes on the wrong side of about 20 pages and also made double holes on the front cover. I was not happy and DH can't understand why. I just know those pages with the holes on the wrong side will get raggedy after a while. The extra holes in the front cover are covered with laminate but look funny. I have a mind to take it back and ask them to go down the street to Barnes and noble and buy me a new book. What would y'all do? The only concession the guy made was not to charge for one of the laminates. I would have rather paid double or triple for the laminate than had my cookbook messed up.

I would make them buy you a new book. What kind of competent person would punch holes on the wrong side? They messed up and should make it good for you.
Proper response from them: "So sorry, we ruined your book. We'll be glad to replace it for you and redo the binding and laminating for half price to make up for the inconvenience. And here is a store voucher good on your next visit."

I like the crockpot bbq chicken on Ezekiel toast for an E dinner. I made a side of roasted kombocha squash crescents with rosemary/garlic salt. I love that you can eat the rind on those things. Cowboy grub is another E dinner I like.

I bought some radishes...I'm going to try the pot roast recipe that includes them. I think its cute that they call them "princess potatos" because they come out pink. I know lots of kids who would rather eat "princess potatos" than yucky radishes. (including me! ) Grilled chicken, broccoli & greens S salad for lunch for me today. (with bacon "crackers" on the side!) I'll be loading it up with pumpkin seeds, goat cheese and something crunchy...maybe a few crispy fried onions.

Thats what I thought too. I may take a little trip down there tomorrow and see what they will do about my book.

We like the cowboy grub too. But had it 3 times in 2 weeks. Is that the same pot roast dinner that I am making Thursday night with the radishtoes? I had a cobb salad for lunch today with grilled chicken. I saw that melt in your mouth bbq or whatever they call it. I may try that next week. I bought some Silver Hills sprouted bread at Aldis yesterday. Its called Mack's Flax. I think it may be too much fat though because of the flax(1.5 grams a slice). At the time I thought it was ok but now.. not sure. Maybe if the rest of my meal is really low fat, I can have it since we are allowed up to 5grams added fat in an E meal. I have some Ezekiel sprouted 7 grain bread in my freezer but I stopped eating it because I think it makes me gain. Looking at the ingredients, I think it might be the barley. Which Ezekiel do you use?
