Glad you are enjoying Mermaid Moon, sunshine!

Last, are you okay with peanuts? The swollen fingers indicate some kind of inflammation and it could be the peanut flour also. You might pull out the iffy items for a couple of days and add back the tomatoes and see how you do and if okay add the peanut flour and check again.

I was hoping that today I would find that I lost the last couple of ounces from the last 2 pound gain. It was not to be. I had another 2 pound gain this morning.

I only had one new thing: celery. I made the THM pot roast recipe and it called for quite a lot of it. Wow. If celery has been a hidden culprit for me, that could explain a lot, since its called for in so many recipes.

The pot roast was delish, btw. DH was amazed that he like the roasted radishes. I was expecting them to lose their bite, but I was surprised that they also lost all of their pink color. They really do look like little potatos after roasting in the crockpot all day. I guess its a good thing he likes it, since he will be eating all the leftovers now. I think its probably not safe for me to fish out the meat, since it was marinating in the celery all day.

What else did you eat? Celery seems so unlikely. Any larger wallop of salt maybe?

I'm just cracking up! Jeni must have altered my profile. She named me Chief Moderator but the HDI Duchess is hilarious! LOL

*waves to the new forum Duchess *

I had some low-carb rolls with the potroast that maybe added a quarter tsp more salt than I would normally have in a day. That doesn't seem like enough to make a difference, although it was in the same meal as the celery.

Celery as a culprit would be rather mind-blowing. But its something I know I haven't had since before THE PLAN. Looking over the logs, I see this: I had two organic mozzarella sticks yesterday for a snack. I also had a big 2 pound gain after eating the lazy lasagna, which contains mozarella. So that is a possibility. But it seems unlikely, since I've also had some white cheddar without gains, and I've had the sticks another time, although I apparently didn't note it.

I'd be more apt to suspect the cheese rather than the celery. Maybe cut out the celery until the gain subsides then try it again and see. It just seems so unlikely!

I think that's a good plan to try it again on a day without the cheese. In the lasagna, I was kind of suspecting the cooked tomatos rather than the cheese. I still think that might be an issue, because I had small gains after the cowboy grub too. However, I didn't have any cooked tomatoes yesterday.

    This is yesterday's menu:
B: chia pudding with almond milk, blueberries, sunflower seeds
L: chana dahl soup with Ted bread, 1 Laughing Cow cheese wedge, apple, p.nut butter powder dip
    Snack: 2 light mozzarella sticks
D: THM potroast, radishes, celery, onion, salad with pumpkin seeds, olive oil & balsamic, low-carb roll & butter, brownie-sized piece of THM Choc Zucchini Cake (mine actually came out more like a brownie than a cake without the eggs-but still good)
BBS (before bed snack): hot chocolate trimmy

Previously, I have had losses after the LLC cheese, the p.nut powder, and the rolls. Although I notice that I did have a big gain the first day of having the zucchini cake. However I also had it the next two days after that and showed no gain.

Oh I wouldn't eat those low carb roll things at all! Not with your issues.

They are gluten-free, egg-free rolls I make myself from this recipe, and are pretty amazing for an S bread:

    What is bad about them?

Those are fine. I thought you meant those low carb breads the sisters allow. I wouldn't touch them for anything. They are loaded with gluten.whole wheat is often worse than white bread when it comes to those of us with an autoimmune disease. Those Joseph's things aren't even sourdough. I'm not sure why they allow them. They are definitely a Frankenfood.

I should have linked in my menu, cause that is an understandable assumption. I wouldn't eat any of those commercial low-carb breads anyway, because they seem to all contain cornstarch of somekind. The stupid corn sensitivity has actually been helpful in keeping me away from processed foods. Corn is in just about everything.

The only commercial bread I'm using is the flourless Ezekiel 4:9 sprouted ones. I made the sourdough Ted bread with rye starter, then added spelt that I autolysed (rested after adding water before adding the starter). That has been good on the scale so far--I had two straight days of losses after eating it.

Last, I'm not Leez, but in case she doesn't get back for awhile. That is what people who can't use eggs, substitute with, see the method explained right behind the item listed. Take gelatin add water let set.
