I'm not convinced that is such a great substitution. A CUP of mayo and a whole can of coconut milk? That much fat is good? Yikes. I'll wait for your review though.

A little more testing that seems to indicate that cooked tomatoes can be taken off the suspicion list. I had the buttah chicken yesterday and didn't react. I've managed 2 deep S meals over the last two days. I'll try for another one tomorrow. It takes will power not to work in nuts or dairy. But is avocado OK for deep S? Somehow, I'm thinking no?

I would probably only make a 1/3 recipe for DH and I so really not so bad. Not sure what to do with the rest of the coconut milk but maybe make a chocolate mousse. Not sure what makes a deep s either?

Did some book diving on the deep S and it looks like its only good fats like pure oil or butter, meats, eggs, and mostly dark green veggies. So no avocados. Apparently they have too many carbs for deep S. They are included in the light S though.

I am so relieved today. I had a 1.6 drop. So with the other two small drops, that cancels that last 2 pound gain. I'm planning S meals today. A deep S at lunch and an E dinner.

We are all so relieved, , not only for you but for all of us hoping to find a comfortable way to eat and stabilize. Nice going, I think your body is starting to respond after it's been so confused with so many plans lately.

You might be right about jumping from one plan immediately into another. That has been kind of hard because each one seems to breaks rules you learn in the previous one. It makes for some conflicting choices. Maybe the truth lies somewhere in between.

I'm happy for that day of awesome loss yesterday, but I'm back up a pound today. These crazy swings are starting to become the normal for me on this plan.

I think I have to try harder to get deepS's in. I just did a regular S yesterday.

January cabin fever is starting to set in. Thankfully, we have a 50 degree day predicted this weekend, so I plan to be out and about. Or at least out walking and catching any sunshine available.

That might be because of the dairy. It may be fine for maintaining but not for losing. A common problem.

That's a thought. Dairy has always seemed friendly for me. I wonder if its not really. I tend to use dairy for my protein a lot. Mostly greek yogurt or cottage cheese. I can try a few days without it and see if anything changes. It's always a challenge for me to eat meat more than once a day, but I could probably do some collagen meals. Maybe I'll pick up some vegan cheeses before I attempt this.

I'll just keep trying things until something clicks.

I just received my THM books (the original and the cookbook) in the mail. I will be reading them this weekend and hope to incorporate their ideas next week, after my birthday. I'm 7 lbs. above LDW right now, caused mostly by the holidays and not taking it off. I'm not so high that I don't think I can't get it off without HCG.

Don't you wonder if our lack of Vitamin D plays into the mix in the wintertime?

I was just reading that cheese feeds a specific gut bacteria that causes inflammation. That's why the weight gain from it can be very slow and insidious, not overnight. Yogurt or kefir isn't problematic for most.

That's interesting Grammy because I've notice the first thing many head for on P3 is cheese. I can't limit myself (keep running to the frig for another slice) so I've stayed away from cheese since my first round. I do like and eat Greek yogurt.
