Leez, I have been analyzing my diet also. I think I need to cut out the cheese and nuts that have been a go to snack for me while on THM. Use more of the FP's. Also I need to let myself experience some hunger knowing it will be short lived. Also I was just reading that sometimes we may need to do a crossover meal or 2 to get things moving again. I am going to start by limiting cheese and nuts and use only as garnish. And I only occasionally have veggies with breakfast. I know I should have some with every breakfast but usually don't want to. I keep wondering about my coffee too. I take a while to drink a cup and it might be considered as fuel stacking since I have been putting 1 teaspoon each of gelatin and mct oil in E coffee. And 2 teaspoons mct oil, 2 teaspoons HWC and 1 tablespoon collagen in S coffee. I usually drink 2 cups after breakfast. 1 after lunch and 1 after dinner. LOL. I love my coffee.

I'm just so glad we can HAVE coffee. I don't mind having to adjust how I fix it because its just so great to have it whenever I want. THE PLAN just about drove me crazy with all the coffee rules. I don't worry too much about stacking, because my version is plain coffee with about a tsp. of half&half. So I'm having less than a half gram of fat in a cup. Although I have been having the Shrinker (hot version) in between meals most days. So I think I'm pretty good there. I notice my coffee bill is lower now too, so that's an unexpected benefit.

I wonder about the fuelstacking thing with a lingering meal too. And I also wonder if the wait times between meals might be different for different people, since its likely some people have slower digestions than others.

I like to cook veggies in with my overnight crockpot oatmeal. Maybe something to try? They add some volume and even some sweetness. I like butternut squash or sweet potato, but I might try carrots or beets since it seems they are less starchy and I wouldn't have to allow for the carbs.

Good idea to use half&half. Will buy some today. Thanks for that.

I tend to eat close to the upper limit of carbs of either quinoa or oatmeal so need to add non starchy veggies. Plus I add the 1/2 cup of blueberries allowed. I need to just do it!

Weight is holding today. Which is pretty good because I did have a later than normal, and regular S dinner. I think I did a little better with portions, and with adding a little extra fat, didn't get hungry too soon after the S meals. It seems to work out for me to do 3 meals and a snack most days. I either have the snack early afternoon, or in the evening depending on how early the day starts. Yesterday I had an S snack in the afternoon.

I'm planning to try an FP mug muffin recipe for my snack today, but using a gelatin egg. I found a technique on how to prepare the "egg" that sounds like it should work for this. If it works and is worth eating, I'll post it up.

I'm with you on the upper limit thing for breakfast grains. I want a big bowl of it, not just a little dab, so I stretch my allowed amount with extra water (and gluccie if needed) and the veggies. I also make a compote from a cup of 3-berry mix. The nice thing about crock pot recipes is that the grain will thicken a lot more water than if you cook it on the stove or in the microwave. It gets really creamy, too.

I just did some math and realize that I don't have enough protein in my S chia pudding breakfast, which I have quite often. its only about 12 grams on its own. So I must remember to add collagen to to my coffee on those days. (or bacon! )

Maybe getting these things sorted better will turn the corner for me.

I add egg whites to my morning grains which ups the volume by 2-3 times and makes them creamy also. Love it that way.

Cool about the gelatin eggs. I have heard of doing this but have never tried it.

I have been eating 2 snacks and sometimes even 3 so am trying to cut back. I have ditched the the nuts and cheese (except for tiny amounts as garnish)so am hoping for some good results soon. I am only weighing once a week now as it makes me neurotic to weigh every day. Last weigh in was 4lbs over LIW. This is an adjusted LIW though so really 7lbs over original LIW.

Have to say that if things don't change soon, I am thinking about another HCG round. It has been over a year since my last round. Mind you, I am not counting the failed attempt at pelle ts back in September. I couldn't get a good dose on them that I felt was effective. I was down to doses of 2, 2, 1 before the hunger finally subsided. I gave up and went slowly into THM. I did better when I really wasn't using any of the recipes, just separating fats and carbs so I am wondering if my body only does well with single ingredient foods. I have at least learned to avoid the heavy dairy laden recipes. I guess I need to google for more dairy free THM recipes.

I wonder if using the recipes promotes over-eating? Maybe because it seems legal to have more treats. Just a thought.

I'm pushing the thought of another round to the back of my mind. I really want to find a way to keep my losses without having to do periodic rounds. But I will start considering it if I can't get this gain under control.

I have learned to stay away form most of the treats. What I have a problem with is portion control. I wish the sisters had included more portion sizes for us and/or nutritional info. I know I can input the ingredients in calorie count or other recipe programs to get this info but don't really want to have to do that. Most of the family size recipes say 6-8 servings. That makes it tough deciding whether I need to cut the recipes by 3/4 or 2/3 since I am only feeding Dh and I. I do make some of the single serves for DH and I. It is pretty easy to just double a recipe. I have found if I make half a recipe we tend to eat it all. Except the lazy lasagna, we actually both had leftovers for lunch the next day. And some of the recipes don't fare well to freeze and use later.

I tried to not do so many snacks yesterday but was always famished by the 3 hours mark and I am eating big meals too with lots of protein.

    Good morning,
I agree about the treats. I've only made BAM once and gave half away. I live alone. I have Lily's and love it but have not opened it. It's there for a rainy day. I've been over two weeks on plan and up 2 pounds. I'm not used to much carbs so eating mostly S. I know that even an ounce of nuts is too much for me so need to push them away. I'm making my way through.
Thinking of a round as I'm way way over last May LDW.

Up a pound today. I had an E snack last evening. I'm thinking that could be it, since carbs retain water.

The little eggless mug muffin I tried yesterday was nothing to write home about. Definitely needs some tweaking to get rid of the sawdust aspect. The recipe was mostly oat fiber. I might try it with baking blend instead.

Going to try for and E and 2 S's today and all FP snacks. I'm going to try to keep the S's light. Hopefully I won't get too hungry doing that. Strangely for me, I have been waking up hungry, like I can't wait to get to breakfast. I don't know if thats a good thing or a bad thing. Or just a thing.

No Lily's for me because of the corn products in it. Drat! I try to stick to only birch xyiltol and stevia. Or nothing. That's what I'm working on now. Using mostly the natural sweetness in veggies, fruits, vanilla, cinnamon, and fruit jam to sweeten my stuff. Thankfully, we can have the real 85% chocolate. That and cocoa crack keeps me sane! The Lindt 85% is my favorite bar anyway, so that works out great.

I thought I might try the inulin sweetener at some point. But its even more expensive than xylitol. I try to keep the xylitol cost down by cutting it with stevia extract powder and not baking too much. But I've still gone through over 5 pounds since May of last year. That seems like too much.

I think all those treats can add extra calories if one is not careful! That said a great idea for those with a sweet tooth.

I made a cauliflower mash last night except I roasted the cauliflower first. Yum! So much better and less watery. Hubby even lived it. Although he is easy to feed on the most part.

Okay missed half the posts here for some reason!

I wanted to add I have one E a day and 2 s meals. I only do one snack in the afternoon either an e or s.

If I have a craving for something sweet I have Lindts Sea salt chocolate. Not on plan. It has sugar in it but I rarely have it so I think I am fine with it. They do have an 85% dark one but not quite as good! Lol

I wonder if I will have to test Erythritol. *sigh*. Maybe it's that and not the oats that had me gain. I use Erythritol in recipes and Now Liquid Stevia in drinks. Truvia packets too.
