One thing I learned well from THE PLAN was that you can have a problem with ANYTHING. Brand, form or life-stage of an ingredient, source of ingredients, cooking method, ....could all be the reason you are sensitive to a certain thing. You might be able to eat fresh tomatos, but not cooked ones, for instance. You might be able to tolerate corn-based erythritol, or you might not. It might be the difference between GMO erythritol and non-GMO. I know. Its overwhelming.

Leez, definitely overwhelming! I followed you on The Plan but haven't done it myself. And yes, I do so much better with raw tomotoes!

What a nice surprise to get on the scale this morning and see a 2 pound drop. This has to mean something, but I'm not sure what yet. This puts me back to where I was about 10 days ago.

Instead of following my plan for yesterday, I decided to go back to a day that produced a big loss and repeat that. It looks like it was a good idea. That prompted me to take a look at the menus before other big loss days and there seems to be a pattern of having an E meal at dinner. Maybe the lighter, easier to digest evening meal is something that my body likes better. There are probably other parallels, but just on a preliminary look, that is what I'm seeing. I'm going to try to do some more comparisons of that nature and see if I can learn anything else.

yes in the new book there is some mention of it being best for losses to have E meals for breakfast. That is awesome!

Leez, That is awesome. Heres hoping that I have a like loss on my weekly weigh in on Sunday. I do feel skinny today. LOL.

Decided to have the almost dairy free lazy lasagna copycat recipe tonight. I had a can of coconut milk so decided tonight's the night. Its in the oven now. Made half a recipe like last time. Will let you know how it tastes.

The dairy free lasagna recipe was really good. DH and I both liked it better than the original. I actually did use some cheese by putting some shredded mozzarella and a tiny sprinkling of Parmesan on top. But I did not experience the bloating and gas that I did from the original recipe so that worked out well. Just got to figure out what to do with the other half of the canned coconut milk. I have made chocolate mousse with it before so maybe will do that. Leftover lasagna for lunch today. LOL.

I did better yesterday with not having so many snacks. I spaced my meals different and ended with only 1 snack of a jalapeno cheese wedge with a few TJ baked tortilla chips. Not the best snack but I was craving crunchy.

Thanks for the review on the lasagna. It sounds like you discovered a key for you.

I got a late start to the day yesterday, so didn't even have a snack. I bounced up a pound today from the two I was down yesterday. I wish I could figure out why I have these enormous swings.

Anyway, I'm just going to trudge on and try to really pay attention to my satisfaction cues. I think I tend to eat whatever I prepare rather than tune in on those. So continuing to look at portion size.

Leez if I weighed myself daily I am sure I would have fluctuations as well.

I heard yesterday on the fat summit and perhaps this is why portion sizes are not included in THM as when you get all the healthy fats in your diet from things like wild salmon, olive oil, coconut oil (not cheese! Lol), you start to become more satiated and want less food. I noticed this with my husband as he is eating less and I have had to force myself to have a little something at the 3 hour mark. Lately I noticed I am not as hungry as I was at first. Time will tell. I will weigh in on Monday.

I am addicted to roasted cauliflower purée. Even my company loved it! THM (Trim Healthy Mama) for P4

I keep vascillating on whether to do fats lightly or just go for it. I guess I'm afraid I'll over-calorie the day and tend to choose the lighter S's more often. Or at least I think I am. I keep finding things I'm still not doing quite right.

I just came back from a walk in the glorious 65 degree sunshine. It felt really good to be out and moving again. I did shorter walk yesterday. Thinking back, the last time I sprained my ankle and couldn't do my daily walks for several months, I had about a 10 pound gain. I'm not quite there yet, but almost. Its rather frustrating when you are doing all you can not to gain, but maybe it was just unavoidable no matter what eating program I am on.

    Good Morning!
I just anted to check in. I think I may have discovered something I'm reactive to this morning. I've been using 2T of Great Lakes in my decaf for years. Two weeks ago I switched to Zint for cost savings. This morning I rea led that after only having Zint, decaf and organic half and half, I looked 5 months pregnant. I'm hoping this is what has had me stalled for a few weeks.
Wednesday I had a cortisone shot in my knee. Sleeping poorly since then. I'm certain that's not helping even though I'm eating on THM plan.
    Have a great weekend!

Oh no. I just got some Zint brand in yesterday. Also bought for cost savings. Yikes. Thought it sounded as good,if not bette,r than the great lakes brand. From grass fed cows.

I too think I figured out one of my reactive supplements. I have been taking 1 capsule of turmeric 2-3 times a day with meals for inflammation. Didn't seem to bother me at first but I have been noticing that my nose will start running at the dinner table. I did not connect it to the turmeric and was blaming cheese and dairy products. Well I also recently discovered that if you mix a little turmeric powder with a small amount of coconut oil, it is great for whitening your teeth. As an avid coffee drinker, I am always looking for ways to keep my teeth whiter between cleanings. I realized yesterday that as soon as I started brushing my teeth with the turmeric/coconut oil concoction that my nose was running. Got me to thinking that maybe I was blaming the wrong thing for the reaction. I always forget to bring the turmeric capsules along when we go out to eat. Well yesterday I decided to have my favorite meal at Ruby Tuesday. The smokey mountain chicken without BBQ sauce. Not to sound like a commercial for RT but I love how they fix their chicken. It is always so juicy and the smokey mountain chicken is covered with applewood bacon and lots of cheese. Not to mention they have the coldest salad bar over! Anyway, my nose did NOT start running at dinner yesterday while eating all that cheese. So, I think I may be having a reaction to the turmeric. Maybe using it to brush my teeth was just too much since before I started doing that, I didn't have the problem with my nose running. So I put the turmeric up for now. I am going to still brush my teeth with it occasionally. LOL.

DH and I had sweetie on steroids for lunch today. A lot of prep for a not so great meal. It wasn't bad but neither of us felt we wanted to try it again. It WAS a lot of food and neither of us finished our serving. Plan to eat the rest for an afternoon snack.

Yikes, that would be awful, Last10. Hope your inflammation goes down quickly. Do you use the gelatin or the collagen hydrosylate? I've been loving the Zint collagen, and have been using both the gelatin and collagen. The collagen dissolves so much better than the THM one. The Zint website says its not only from grassfed cows, but grass-finished and non-GMO, which is great. I don't notice any odors or any other problems with either product.

Had a nice .6 drop this morning, so that was encouraging. I'm still in the panic zone, but hoping to get out of it soon. I think my greatest recipe discovery so far is a low carb roll egg-free recipe that I can have with S meals. And its not even from the THM cookbook. I really haven't tried any from there because they all call for eggs, and I've read that substitutions don't really work well in those recipes.
