Great you had a drop today. Tomorrow is my weigh in day. I think I may have lost judging by how loose my rings are and that DH has lost 2 more pounds eating mostly what I eat. But he isn't as on plan as I am. Men.

I use both gelatin and the collagen but have been using Great Lakes brand. I just bought the Zint gelatin for the first time but haven't tried it yet as I still have some of the great lakes brand left. I love to make gummies with the gelatin as well as put it in my coffee. BTW, I finally figured out how to enjoy my coffee without added fat. I make the trimmy lights(I do add mct oil sometimes still) now when I need my coffee to be either an E or a FP beverage. I do still use HWC or half & half at other times though. I like the trimmy lights so much that I plan to buy a oxo pop container just for it. It took a little time to get used to the taste of sunflower lecithin in my coffee but now I love it.

I heard yesterday on the fat summit and perhaps this is why portion sizes are not included in THM as when you get all the healthy fats in your diet from things like wild salmon, olive oil, coconut oil (not cheese! Lol), you start to become more satiated and want less food. I noticed this with my husband as he is eating less and I have had to force myself to have a little something at the 3 hour mark. Lately I noticed I am not as hungry as I was at first. Time will tell. I will weigh in on Monday.

I am addicted to roasted cauliflower purée. Even my company loved it! THM (Trim Healthy Mama) for P4
I agree about the fats at least for me. I have to make sure I am getting fats in the day or every second day. I also use the mct oil daily in my coffee or tea daily. I love anything to do with cauliflower. It is so sad it has gone up in price, but I still buy it.

@Leez.... I wish you all the best on this journey. I know how the weight increases can make one feel as I do struggle with it as well. I am slowly finding what foods I can have and what foods I will just never have again.

Thanks for commiserating with me. I can be so frustrating to keep trying to do it right (meaning get the results you are after) and not quite manage.

Then you run across testimonies like this one: http://moneysavingmom.com/2015/09/wh...lthy-mama.html

I'm not even sure what to say.

    maybe this:

HI Leez!!! Yes, it is sooo hard to figure this all out!!!

As you know I've been off gluten for over 8 years now, but after HCG (3 rounds) 1 BAD round.....I kept wondering why my weight kept creeping up as I was doing all the right things.

Then I did that cleanse for 10 days through my doctor's office and found that not only am I gluten intolerant but I'm dairy AND egg intolerant. Thank goodness that I love my soy free vegennaise as I use it for many things and they all turn out great. I DO miss my cheese but I am happy to be holding at 155 for quite sometime now so I'll take it!!

You have been so helpful in so many ways, and I know that so many benefit from ALL your wonderful knowledge and wisdom....kuddos to YOU!!!

Ha ha Leez!!! How I wish this was my problem!!!!!

Not much going on around here. Eating well. Cut out the dairy as I have been super bloated and thought that may be the culprit also stopped the collagen and that didn't make a difference either. I have to remember to take my probiotics as I think my gut bacteria is wonky after the antibiotics. I keep forgetting to take them in the evenings. In the morning I remember.

I bet you are are right that you are still having effects from the antibiotics. I think I read that it takes several weeks before taking probiotics will help re-establish your gut flora. It probably takes even longer for some.

I had a pound bump up today. I noticed that I had some Ezekiel toast yesterday, and that I hadn't had any gluten for several days when I was doing well. I think I might try a few more gluten-free days and see what that does. I need to get some of that Sami's GF sourdough, I keep forgetting to ask my health store to order it in for me.

Then again, it seems I also gain if I have animal protein more than once a day. So who knows.

I stay away from gluten for the most part as well. Pretty soon I will be down to just eating lettuce! LOL

That's the way I feel sometimes. I keep cutting things out, but can't seem to verify if it is doing any good.

I have some thyroid and hormone blood testing scheduled for next month, so maybe that will turn up something.

If you're testing your progesterone (you should) test on day 19-21 of your cycle if you still have a period. And make sure you get your Free T3 done.

Thanks, I'm trying to get the lab order revised now to include the free T3. They left it off even though I specifically emphasized that I wanted it. (That and a couple others/)

I don't have periods anymore, so I think I'm good there. It's like pulling teeth to have them order the right tests. I've already postponed my appointment once because the lab order was so incomplete. I really need to find a new doctor, but I keep putting it off because I've had such bad luck finding a good one. This guy is at least willing to work with me.

I'm waiting to hear how Ginger's weigh in went today. Somebody needs to post some good news today!

I didn't think you had periods but then was second guessing myself. LOL

Leez, I forgot to weigh. I really haven't gotten used to the once a week weigh in yet. So tomorrow is the new weigh in day.

Sorry to hear about your the bounce up today. And I agree with you and Sunshine that it sometimes feels like we will not have much left to eat soon. But then I look at how far we have all come and feel blessed and happy!
