Still holding--thats a good thing, because I made sourdough pancakes for my E breakfast yesterday with my Ted Bread starter. That confirms that I'm fine with a bit of rye as long as its soured. I used kamut flour to add to the starter. I still have to tweak the recipe a bit to get the texture right without an egg, but they were actually pretty good. This program would be a lot easier to do if I could eat eggs, as so many of the recipes call for them.

I did manage a deep S breakfast today with a protein pancake, bacon, and stewed rhubarb. It was nice to be able to put a pat of butter on my pancake. I found that the THM maple syrup recipe is surprisingly good. I've been using it to sweeten some things instead of just straight xylitol, like yogurt, or as a topping on a FP dessert.

Using okra raw has been a new thing to me. I would never want to eat it in any recognizable form, but its fine blended into stuff, as long as its not enough to make it too gluey.

I would love to be holding at LIW though instead of 8 pounds above it. It looks like we are basically in the same situation, roselady. I like the shrinker sipper hot, and have been using that, but not every day. I didn't notice it did much for me either other than cut down on my coffee consumption.

Speaking of okra. I made DH a bowl of broccoli and cheese soup for lunch today(it has okra in it). He loved it. I probably will never eat it since when I get off my Hcg round I plan to go back on THM but won't be eating dairy for a while. Just to see if that is my problem with not losing on that program. I bought some of the special ingredients. I bought the baking blend, the whey protein and the sunflower lecithin. I was already using collagen and gelatin and had the nut flours in my freezer so I don't consider them special ingredients. I like that shrinker too but mostly I love the good girl moonshine. I still drink it in P2. I use stevia for sweetening it aso I consider it on plan.

I adore that broccoli soup with okra and cream cheese! I don't put any other cheese in it, just the cream cheese. It's probably a good idea to try it without dairy and gluten. Those two things are responsible for much of the weight creep I see around. It often doesn't show up right away but just edges up little by little.

I've been losing a pound a day since I started eating an apple first thing in the morning! then I have 1/2 cucumber with a lime squeezed on it some other time as a snack. That's working great!

You're eating an avocado in P2? I'm shocked.

But wow...a pound a day after the first week is awesome.

I'll see where I'm at after these trips next month and assess at that point. I'm not going to to do anything different but try to not gain until then. Interestingly, when I'm away, its usually easier to maintain than when I'm home. We'll see if that holds this time.

Oh for pete's sake! I didn't mean avocado. LOL I meant cucumber. You'd be right to be shocked if I was really eating avocado! LOL I'll fix it.

That is so awesome Grammy! Must not forget my early morning fruit! I need some pound days! I know you are on to something with that. I remembered it this morning and did not had the hunger I had yesterday. Today is skip day and I really thought I would need to lower my dosage. But I feel fine today but it is early so we will see. I am going to start having the cucumber too as a snack. I adore them so that is easy for me.

I hear you. I bet that typo was your subconscious at work, haha!

I did the apple for breakfast thing through all my rounds. I never got consistent pound-a-day losses though after the first week. The cucumber thing is an interesting idea. It would keep something coming into your stomach a lot more often. Maybe for some of us, that would be important.

Made the Thai Curry Soup for lunch today. I used my own curry powder recipe, fish and kelp noodles, and added in some grated yellow squash, carrot and chopped cilantro stems. Since I was doing an E meal, I sweetened it with a bit of apricot jam. It was excellent. Although with all my changes, the book recipe has morphed into something else. ^_^

Grammy, Forgot to ask if you put HWC in the broccoli and cheese soup. It was really thin until I added 2TBS. Even with the diced chicken. And then DH added about 1 ounce shredded cheese to it. Looked wonderful.

Ooh that sounds awesome! I've been meaning to try that and I will when I'm done with this round. I really can only go another week. My hcg will be 30 days old next weekend. I do have more I could mix, but I'd like at least 2 weeks to stabilize before we go to Hawaii.

Ginger, I did not put it in it. I can't find it without carrageenan in my state so I have just added extra butter which is really the same thing. LOL

    Hi Grammy,

How's your round been going overall with the American HCG this round? How much did you gain loading & how much have you lost so far?

Speaking of HWC without Carageenan, I went into a small local Kosher Jewish market last week to pick up some things to make real chicken soup. I wandered over to the frozen foods cooler and saw that they had frozen 1/2 gallon plastic jugs of kosher heavy cream. The only ingredient listed was cream. I was in heaven and bought two of them. The only place I can find nothing added whipping cream is Wholefoods where they carry the Natural by Nature brand. This market is much closer to home - 10 minutes, whereas all of the whole foods locations in any direction are 1 hour away.

So fellow hcg'ers, this may be an option for you if you have access to a store that sells kosher dairy products. THM (Trim Healthy Mama) for P4🏾

I gained 2 pounds on my load and have lost almost 10 in 18 days. I feel really good on the American made hcg, better than usual. But the losses are no better so far LOL Though they have ramped up since I started eating a fruit for breakfast (Pomroy said those with autoimmune disease should do that for their adrenals and thyroid in her Food Rx book.) Since fruit is allowed, I made that one little switch and have been splitting my food up and eating every 3 hours. We will see if my one pound a day losses continue. If so, I'll lose about 17 in 30 days, above my usual average which would be 15 pounds.
