I usually average about 18-20 lbs in 30 days, and the last 5 lbs. in the remaining 7 or more days depending on how long I extend up to 40. I've alway eaten a big apple or orange mid morning after my coffee or tea but before lunch. I was never hungry enough to eat the second fruit later in the day though, even on Day 1 of VLCD.

Good luck, and keep us updated on your final results as well as your Hawaiian P3 experience.

I've never lost 18 pounds in 30 days. LOL But I'm 64 and have Hashimotos so I've always been happy with what I have. I lost another pound. Usually in the final week I lose maybe a total of 2 pounds. In my other rounds I always ate an apple in the morning but this round I started out trying to do it perfectly as written, well with the exception of the melba of course.

I'm super excited about my trip! I'm taking my brothers and their wives with me as well as our kids so it's a big clan and will be a blast! Luckily our daughter and daughter in law eat the way I do all the time so it won't be hard to stick to my normal way of eating. The first week in Hawaii is the last week of P3 and will be on Big Island. Then we go to Kauai for 2 weeks and my brothers and their wives join us for a week.

I was wondering how your round was going, Colleen, so thank you for giving us an update. How exciting that you might actually average more than the 1/2 lb per day this round. Woo-hoo! Your trip to Hawaii with your family sounds wonderful.

Yeah, I too ate an apple each morning on all 3 rounds and certainly did NOT lose a pound a day. Boo-hoo!

    Holding at 133.2.

Edit: one last thing...the cookbook was due back to the library yesterday and I wasn't able to renew (someone else wants it), so I had to relinquish it. Darn! I needed more time to try other recipes. I may have to put it on hold again, so I can try some more. In the meantime, I'm still waiting for the newest book via the library.

Colleen, my doctor told me that having the apple for breakfast in P2 was beneficial for my messed up cortisol levels at the start of my HCG journey. I wonder if that is part of what is at work with Pomroy's advice.

Still holding today, but after about a week of adding in an FP meal everyday, and a bunch of ups and downs, I'm actually down about a half pound.

I'm pretty happy with that, so my plan is to continue on.

We're off tomorrow for a week to visit friends in Florida, so I may not have time to post much till we get back. Hopefully, I can keep my progress by eating simply and follow combining rules while away.

I sure hope so! I think it is a combination of using some FP meals (instead of just FP snacks) and going a little lighter on the S meals. I've been doing light and deep S's mostly, or if not, I might add one regular S item (nuts, seeds, dairy, cheese) rather than several of them.

Grammy, What a fun trip with family! Hope everything is perfect! And congrats on your great losses this round! I am not losing a pound a day but surprisingly to me, eating a fruit by itself every morning seems to be the key for no hunger for me. I have always been careful not to eat apples by themselves because I thought an apple was too many sugars and would raise my blood sugar too much and cause more hunger. Interesting that is doesnt.

Leez, Hope your trip is perfect too! Have fun. I am still following your progress and that cheering in the background is me! I am learning from your experience plus am reading some of the chapters I skipped in the new plan book and even the old plan book. I thought they wouldn't apply to me. How wrong I was!

Roselady, So many great THM recipes are available on Briana Thomas' website if you are interested. http://www.briana-thomas.com/ Also pinterest.

Drat. I jumped up a pound and a half today. And yesterday was all repeats of safe meals. I was actually expecting a loss because I felt so empty last night. This happened to me right before leaving for our summer trip last year too. I'm thinking its stress & poor sleep related to all the preparations. I should not have weighed today because now I am bummed.

So, for the next week, no weighing. I'll enjoy good food with my friends while keeping as much on plan as possible, and see where I am when I get back.

A poor night's sleep can bump me up 3 lbs. sometimes. Of course, it's often combined with TOM or eating something later or not drinking enough water and having too much salt in my bloodstream/bladder.

    Hi all!

I've been reading and catching up on everyone. Looks like the chem lab has been busy!!

    Colleen, awesome results!

I had an awesome week at Disney World with my family. It was an amazing trip; I'm in a fog that it's over. We got back late last night and I took the kids to school and hit the gym for a while. That was the one thing I missed while gone. There was just no time. I did get in couple of lap swims at the hotel, so that was nice. We stayed at Shades of Green which is on Disney property but is only for military--that's why there was lap swimming available. Anyway...

I started round two with two conveniently timed but delicately managed load days on the last two days of the trip. Yesterday was VLCD 1 and this morning I am 1.2 above R2's LIW, so I'm on my way. Hoping for 30 lbs this round, which would then be my last round.
    Blessings,
    Nicole

    R1 start 9/1/15, 30-day round, -34
    R2 start 11/26/15, 30-day round, -30 (pneumonia, bronchitis, and a 13-day PI)
    R3 start 3/9/16, 31-day round, -30
91 days of HCG = 94 lbs lost, for a total of over 100 pounds gone and GOAL REACHED!!
