    Trouble Stabilizing?

I've been following Dr. Jack Kruse and his leptin reset. http://jackkruse.com On one of the places where he posts, he was in favor of the hcg diet but mentioned that hcgers should avoid dairy. So I asked him why and if it was a permanent ban or what. He said this below so if you're struggling to maintain, try cutting dairy. I know, I know. That's a tragedy. But it's not permanent.

dairy has huge apomorphine effects…..and they act on the mu receptor that HCG acts upon……that is why. I would avoid it for the first six months of the transition.

I am just starting my third round. I stabilzed beautifully after round 1 but not round 2. In round 2 P4 I discovered FFF and now i am totally addicted to it. During p4 my weight would swing 4 pounds if I eat any carbs but it would come back off with a FFF day or a high protein day. I wonder in all of your experience have you seen any trends if you eat your breadstick in P2 and weight fluxuations with carbs in P4??? I do not eat my breadstick in P2. If you eat your breadstick can you eat carbs in P4 w/o trouble??????
    Thanks

Great question! I've been wondering the same thing.

I don't have problems unless I eat processed carbs like refined stuff pastries, white rice, snacks, cookies. Round 2 was just hard to stabilize but I finally did eating carbs and protein but moderate fat. Only white carbs gave me issue stabilizing. And I always ate breadstick and melba on all my rounds. I am on round 3. So I am not sure if I would have issues not eating melba. I lose great eating melba or skipping it doesn't matter. What I can no longer tolerate is beef. And my gains from processed foods are never huge maybe a half pound to a pound. I am on round 3 because I went overboard on my vacation and thanksgiving. But I hear good things about round 3.

Well I guess that's good for me, since I'm gluten and dairy-free. But I use coconut milk as an alternative and hazelnut milk, I guess I'll have to study what's okay to eat on p3 and p4. I have in the past done Suzanne Somers style of dieting, mostly low carb/food combining. People with thyroid conditions seem to do well with a lot of protein and less carobhydrates anyway.

WOW that is good to know. I love dairy... We eat and drink it raw but I guess that doesn't matter when it comes to receptors. Or does it make a difference?

I want to succeed badly, so aside from the leptin protocol on P3 I will stick to no dairy as well! BTW, home made chocolate coconut ice cream with stevia is pretty good! Yeah, I have a ice cream fetish... Not craving any but looking forward to the day I can have a pint a week and not gain ;-)

TOM is time of the month. FFF is Full Fat Fage which is a brand of plain Greek yogurt.

Hi Grammy -- I need some advice please. P2 went great and I lost 40 pounds. P3 not so good. The first week went well but slowly my weight went up even earning clean and my constipation was really bad. I used a product called ozmolax to help with the constipation and my weight went up 2 pounds. I then did a steak day and my weight gain stopped ( but didn't go down) constipation was getting worse , then I lost it and binged on non P3 foods my weight went up again more than 2 pounds and I am still constipated , on some advise I tried a salt water flush that didn't work at all for the constipation and my weight went up another 3 pounds . So I am 8 plus pounds above my last dose weight and binged again to make things worse and now 10 pounds gained in a week and constipated and bloated . I am thinking of just going back to P2 for three weeks and then staring P3 again from a better point what do you think? Or is there any other way for recovery ?

It's too soon to go back to hcg. You need to be off a minimum of 6 weeks if this is your first round. It's possible your thyroid is low. Hcg elevates your thyroid. Also try some magnesium citrate which will help the constipation. You need to take a look at what you're eating and see what is causing the extremely fast weight gain. Could be dairy. What have you been eating?
