Thread: This Diet works! and here's the proof

  1. #25
Well....it's been 2 years and @#$%^!!!!!! here I am again. Only good news is I called "knock it off" at 190 so I didn't get as fat. same deal as all the others...held well then slipped a bit, accepted it, slipped a bit more "oh that's not too bad" and then blamo! hit 190. water again key.

Well my time would not allow a quality HCG round so I thought I'd try Keto...and I am NOT impressed. at 2 weeks I've lost 7 lbs, on HCG I've CONSISTANTLY lost 15lbs by this time. I'll do a comparison write up on it when finished, I'll only stick with it a bit more than stop for the summer, be a bit heavier than I want d just avoid the harpoons at the beach.

Unfortunately, your experience with keto is not unusual. A seven pound loss in two weeks would seem to be a pretty good result by most standards, but with keto, it is artificial loss caused mostly by the water dumping that happens when you are in ketosis. When you cave and carbs pass your lips 5 pounds (or more) of that 7 can come back the next morning as water stores needed to process carbs re-balance.

By the time someone gets to the point that they use HCG, they've usually already tried many other diets that didn't work for them. Seems logical that the reason would be underlying metabolic issues and hormone imbalances. No regular diet is going to really address those. But HCG does, and so many that can't lose weight any other way have success with HCG because it is a hormone and metabolism adjusting protocol.

Keto does seem to work well for men, and for some women that can lose weight by conventional methods. But even then, women especially will hit a wall where their thyroid and adrenals become starved and function tanks. It doesn't look like you are in danger of going down the long-term keto road, but thought I'd mention just for information and for others reading.

Thanks Leez, well I called "knock it off" after 3 weeks and using Phase 3 methods to stabilize at 185, not where I want to be but it's a matter of timing, I don't want a weakened immune system with C.V. going around. I did get back some of my discipline with water and food so this lose should tide me over till I can do a proper round again.

    Good day everyone!

I had time to do a proper round and results are near IDENTICAL to previous 5 rounds. Below is scale results at day 1 and day 27. The avg loss was within .2-.4 pounds everyday. I'll say this again, if this is a placebo as some claim it is the most consistent and reliable placebo in history. You can also see the updated graph.

"so if this is so successful why are you doing this again?" - fair question, truth is with ANY diet you can and WILL gain back your weight unless you are hawkish on food (AND WATER) everyday. Yes, even gastric bypass and band people will regain weight!

I do very well keeping my weight perfect for right at one year. After that by accident or intent I do something foolish like eat an entire pizza or a gallon of ice cream (not really but you know what I mean) and an amazing thing happens...NO WEIGHT CHANGE! then I do it again...and same thing "NO CHANGE! " I'm cured! I can eat whatever I want just like when I was 20!"...then a week or so later I go up a pound. "no big deal" and after a few week another pound... "that's fine!" I tell myself and fast forward 12 more months and I'm fat again.

I stick by my original remarks, fast, consistent and safe. But after losing you MUST be vigilant everyday and get you water in!

1st Day of Phase 4 and I'm stabilizing at 170. I always seem to "coast" down a few more pounds but point is diet is absoultly consistant.

New years update: I'm Doing good but ONLY by fanatical attention to calories, I learned it isn't water that is the key as much as planning meals to stay within 2000 calories. I'm always amazed how fast I can hit 2000 calories if i don't track them.

    For new dieters:
    - This diet is solid and predictable. you WILL lose weight if you follow plan but that's only 1/2 the battle. HCG gets you to your "destination" but it up to you to stay there or return to your starting point.
    - If you got this far you seen I had to learn about maintenance. weight WILL come back if you don't stick to meal/calorie plans
    - Again, the diet is going to work, that's not the issue. You have a choice...and a hard one. Chose to restrict what you eat and drink for the rest of your life or chose to gain the weight back and be right back where you started. For example, If I want to have a HUGE slice of apple pie I need to think "hmm apple pie, 650 calories...OK egg whites and cheese for breakfast (250) Chicken Brest and broccoli lunch (300) and 2 slices of pizza and coke for dinner (800) total 2000." You need to think like that EVERY DAY OR THE WEIGHT WILL COME BACK

    Anyway...good luck!

    Update

Well back to phase one but if you've read this far you know for me it happens. I've come to find these rounds as a time to detox, re-learn my discipline and once again appreciate the taste of food. So while I'm not suggesting you gain weight back and diet every 2 years, for me I don't see it as a negative anymore, pretty much a "cost of doing business" for maintaining an ideal weight for 11 years.
I started early at 189 P2day weight so only plan to run minimum 21 days. Day 10 down 11.4 pounds
