    Hi! I am on day 1 of vlcd. Hanging in there. Doing the shots. Headache today. Anyway, I was wondering if any of you chew sf gum. My doctor said to stay away from it cos it makes you hungry, but I find that I neeeeed gum. Also, is broccoli allowed? I grabbed some when I was at the store today and then realized it wasn't on the list.

    jnzmommy - no, sugar free gum is not allowed in P2. Broccoli isn't in the approved vegetables, but some do eat it with no problem. Before starting this, I chewed gum ALL THE TIME - its definately something you can get past! Good luck!!

    I am almost a week into the diet (tomorrow) and am loving it. over 10 pounds so far! I need lots of support though as I have a long way to go!

    I am so confused!! I have been taking hcg drops for 13 days and I have lost eight pounds. What round am I in?? I don't understand all the p1 and p2 stuff. I also cheated while taking the drops last Saturday (at dinner) and have not lost any weight since then..it's now Tuesday. Please give me some basic instructions and information. I have read so many different things that I'm feeling a little overwhelmed. Thank you, Tara Honeycutt

    Hi Tara,
    Round 1 means this is the first time you have done the HCG diet. The phases are as follows - Phase 1 is a diet adjustment that some people do before the begin HCG. Phase 2 is the time you are on HCG, including the 2-3 days you continue the VLCD (very low calorie diet) after you stop HCG. Phase 3 is after HCG when you are still off added sugars and starches, but are allowed more fats, including oils and butter. In phase 4, you can technically eat what you want, although you probably will still want to be careful with how often you indulge in sugars and starches.
    No losses right after a cheat are common - it will take a few days, but if you stick to the diet you will begin losing weight again. Just get back up on the horse and keep on going! These forums are a great place to come for help and motivation. I'm just finishing my first round, and likely there will be more info from a veteran, but there's my 2 cents!

    VLCD 1: 189.5
    LDW: 166.0

    Round 2 (Cycling)
    VLCD 1: 171.5
    LDW: 150.0

    Round 3:
    VLCD 1: 153.5
    LDW: 145.5
    Current Weight: 147.5

    Hello everyone! today is my 8th day on the HCG trim drops... im finding ways to cheat here and there but i know it will disappoint me in the long run so tomorrow im STICKING to the approved foods... i just HATE eating dry foods... does anyone have any phase 1 recepies for sauces or things you can use on salad (besides vingear) that wont make it completely dry??

    If you like mustard and vinegar I have a really good spicy mustard dressing I make on my blog. (see below link)

    Almost 42 years old and I don't know the difference between a blog, post, thread or forum. After looking around for a few days, I have registered and made a ticker (I think). Anyway, this is my first round, vlcd 3, and I'm a little freaked out. I am starving, cranky, headache and tired. I went to my exercise class yesterday at 6am and almost had to leave due to lack of energy. I read I should maybe increase my dose (at 150 now) but also read you could be taking too much. How do I know? I just feel like junk and cannot imagine another 38 days of starvation. Any words of wisdom are appreciated. I'm the guinea pig for 3 of my friends who also want to start, but have one excuse or another. I tell them if you like to be starving and feel like you have the flu, then this diet is for you.

    I am new to this board, but have read many things before actually signing up, Im 13 days into P2, and feeling great! I am less that 10 lbs away from my goal weight! Thanks for all the articles and support here!!!

    Seems like i may have been a little too negative. Today is a new day, and after dreaming all night that I fell off the wagon, I decided to up my dose to 200. Starting to feel a little more like myself and actually had to save part of my lunch for PM snack. Hope everyone else is having a fantastic skinny day.

    Help, Bad day!!

    Today is #19VLCD. I've lost 12.5 lbs so far which is awesome!! However, I ordered more drops due to I had decided to go the 40 days. Last two days, no loss! Very frustrating. I even did a detox bath last night hoping to wake up to atleast 1lb loss. I'm starting to think I should quit, but I honestly don't want to. I just don't know what to do to get through these no loss days...Any suggestions? How long should I wait on a "stall" before trying to "correct" it? Any suggestions or advice is greatly appreciated! I will be up all night reading this forum! :-) Thanks to all that post and reply on all these threads...Very imformative!!

    I can do this!! I will do this!! Would like to lose another 12 by the end of Round 1! Heck, I'd take another 10 LOL.
