More carbs to get leaner: another testimony that Keto does not get you there

Keto is being shown again to not be so good for women long-term. It seems to cause hormonal issues that promote fat to be stored instead of lost. This girl is looking great after changing her diet to 50% slow-burning carbs. Attached pic is at the same weight before and after moving to more carbs in her macros.

She doesn't really look all that different, except for the tan and smile.

Just clicked on the link and saw some attention seeking pictures. Why is it that women have to take pictures of their rear ends like that?
    Looks sleazy.
Maybe I am getting to old.

Her thighs look leaner to me.

However, the point is that she's eating carbs and looking that way.

We've been so brainwashed the last 30 years or more that carbs are the devil. They are not.

And did you get the part where she went from 800 calories a day to 1800? To me that is the amazing part of the story, further debunking the calories in calories out myth.

I have been adding different types of fruits to my breakfast because I keep seeing this research. It has helped. I don't crave sweets and am very satisfied until lunch even though breakfast is just a protein shake with fruit. Below I have copied the two paragraphs I have added to my weight loss journal. The 1st is the theory, the 2nd is the formula I've used. I do eat all types of fruits/veggies now but the ones with a higher glycemic index, I save for special occasions:

    Slow Carbs Beat No Carbs
Low-carb diets have become very popular over the past decade, due to the belief that they promote weight loss. However, according to nutrition and fitness expert Dr. Len Lopez, writing on CBN.com, consuming slow-burning carbs is a better way to lose weight. Slow-burning carbs are ones that do not cause blood sugar to spike; they are rated low to moderate on the GI scale. According to Dr. Lopez, if you stick to a slow-burning-carb diet, you will be able to maintain healthy weight better because stable blood sugar levels can help keep your body in a fat-burning state throughout the day.

    A Simpler Approach
According to WebMD, most but not all foods that have a lower GI value tend to be healthier and less processed. Harvard researcher Dariush Mozaffarian, M.D., quoted on the website, noted that another method for easily identifying low-GI foods is to look at the ratio of carbohydrates to fiber, per serving. According to Dr. Mozaffarian, a ratio of 5 to 1, or less, is ideal. For example, even though an apple has 19 grams of sugar, it also contains 4.4 grams of dietary fiber, for a ratio of just over 4 to 1. So instead of examining macronutrient composition, you're better off simply choosing healthy whole foods, such as fruits, vegetables and unprocessed whole grains.
