If you don't have a water purifier, this will make you want one...

The report released Wednesday by a branch of the Office of Health and Human Services examined a category of chemicals commonly called PFAS that have been used to make non-stick products, firefighting foam and water-repellant coatings. They've been found in water systems and soil around the country.
Apparently, these substances are toxic at much lower levels than the government has previously deemed safe.

I'm so glad we put in a reverse-osmosis system years ago. The government says the drinking water is safe. But, surprise. They make mistakes.

    Thanks for sharing Leez.

We started buying 1 gallon jugs of bottled water about 15 years ago because a) our water smelled and tasted bad (city water) b) research I had done on thyroid issues all tied back to bad things in the water. We have about 15 of those jugs now and fill them at the double reverse-osmosis water station in front of the grocery store for about $0.50 per jug. We use this to fill drinking water bottles and the coffee maker. It also serves as a type of emergency backup water as we rarely let the supply go below 3 gallons.

I know "they" say you shouldn't re-use plastic water bottles, but I think "they" are just out to sell more bottles of water.

Drinking water is important. But also bathing water. I am a tub person. So I always add 1000 mg vitamin C and a T. or two of borax. Those neutralize the chlorine and fluoride in the municipal water.

I'm so not a tub person... Showers are short enough that I don't think it does anything.
