Thread: How do you do it?

    How do you do it?

I'm a bit frugal when it comes to spending money on myself and I'm always on a budget including purchases related to my health but if the thing is, I choose the areas where I want to "scrimp" on and those areas that I have to think of value instead of the cost.

What areas do you stick to a budget on and which ones do you splurge on?
And how do you keep track of diet/health/medical related expenses?

I'm not frugal when health is concern but precisely I also review our medical billings and go for services that would do us good and benefit us. Actually, I don't easily spend that much for unnecessary things like branded clothes, shoes and bags.

It makes sense to keep medical bills in order, right?
I keep a log sheet for every expense we have since I lost my job a few years back. It was really hard when we didn't have any insurance to cover for medical costs so I kept track of every single medical expense. When I got a job, I still continued to take note of the same costs and it helps that my doctor uses a software (EMR systems) that keeps me up to date of the number of consultations I have had in a year and the medications prescribed to me so in case I forget, I can track which one I need to buy refills for.
