    I'm not sure I want to go back to being cold all the time after I just finally got back to a normal body temp, but hey.....maybe....

    The Thin Ice insole and vest 'hacks' your body's metabolism to make it burn more calories, according to its creator.

    When the temperature drops, your body compensates to warm you up by shivering. It is this process that is being hijacked to burn extra calories.....Paulin claims that while the clothing does lower your body temperature, you will not feel it beyond an initial adaptation period of a few seconds.

    On the crowdfunding page, the sensation is likened to jumping into a cold swimming pool.

    The initial change in temperature makes you feel cold instantly, but after a few seconds you don't notice it.

    The pool itself hasn't changed temperature, but your body has adapted to make you feel warmer.

    No. I tried cold thermogenesis and it actually made me fatter in areas where I soaked in a cold pool. LOL It might burn calories but I care about body composition. I think it works fine for men, but again, it's one of those things that don't work as well for women.

    That is a great point. I bet this product launches, is wildly successful, and then in a year or so, we will start hearing reports of how its messing up the women that are trying it.

    It's very aggravating how things work for me and everyone assumes it's great for women. Just like intermittent fasting or ketogenic diets. They can be great short term and we think oh yes this is the answer! Then a few months to a year down the road, we realize the harm the thing has done. Women are just different.
