    Smile **The "I will not give into my _____ craving" Thread.**

    I'm finding communication on this forum is helping me incredibly, but sometimes I don't know where to jump in when I just need to work through a craving. It's funny, because this morning I was feeling on top of the world, and then the rest of the day I proceeded to desperately crave bad stuff literally every moment.

    So....I named this thread, hoping others will join in when they are trying to beat a craving. We can all encourage each other and just determine NOT to let silly cravings and non-protocol food take us away from our mission.

    Maybe I am the only crazy one who needs this. If so, I'll just entertain myself here. But if you want to join, please do!

    Here is my greatest Temptress today: PEANUT BUTTER. It started when my son asked for peanut butter on his toast this morning. Then, my other son requested a PB & honey wrap for lunch. Then, my daughter asked for a PB spoonful for her snack. Seriously?!? I can't get away from the stuff. I tried deeply inhaling the scent in the jar, hoping that might cure my craving. Wrong!!! But, I haven't given in....and I'm not going to. So there, Peanut Butter!!!

    Anyone else?

    Maple sausages!

    My daughter eats them every morning, and they are so good, and I crave meat so badly, and I just want to eat one.. make that two.. no three!

    That stinking PB! I actually had some day before yesterday, but I'm not in P2 so it wasn't really a cheat. But that doesn't give it the right to be so seductive, calling my name, whispering in my ear. It's only a crush and I will not give into it every time it whistles! I've got other fish to fry (er...uhmm... make that: grill)

    Wow I am on day 24 p2 and all I am doing is cheating!!!! Feel good one min. then I crave bread and butter and give in. I am feeling like a failure. I lost 19 lbs. and was hoping to do 25lbs. by 30 days then start p3 but I am eating the wrong things already. My husband said that I have seemed depressed and not myself since the diet!! Is food what makes me happy???

    Bree--If you were an emotional eater before, I've found this diet definitely brings it out. I have had moments of depression and emptiness and even rage, because I haven't been able to "medicate" with food as usual. When those moments happen, I just have to refocus and remind myself of my goal. It's easier said than done, and I'm only on Day 12, so who knows what my resolve will be like by Day 24. I think losing 19 pounds is AWESOME! Maybe your body is just telling you it is time to move onto Phase 3? I bet once you do that, you'll find it much easier to stay on track, because you can eat more fat. The healthy fats may also help to elevate your mood. Hang in there! I just try to tell myself how angry I will be if I cheat and ruin the hard work I'm putting into this. It's not too late to get back on track!

    Lisa & Kristina--glad I'm not alone. Kristina, it is interesting you crave meat, when we are already eating two portions each day, but I guess it's not the nice fatty, sugary kind like maple sausages. My thing has just been FAT...I really miss fat in my diet, coconut oil, olive oil, cream cheese, and yes peanut butter.

    But, it's just food, it will be there later when we are on Phase 3/4. We can wait! And then, we can eat it while looking fabulous (Tardis from the board wrote that to me the other day and I keep repeating it in my mind!).

    OH Thank you thank you thank you for this thread!! The Cheese Its have been calling my name all day! I just want to cry. Its my first day VCLD and I'm hungry, and wanting every thing. I have a 18 month old and I usually snack all day with him.. It took everything I had not to eat one.. It was awful! I just kept thinking maybe I could just put it in my mouth then spit it out.. or chew and not swallow it.. I was looking around paranoid.. I did NOT let it get the best of me. I left them out after I cried and beat it, ignored it, and flipped it off.. I know right.. have that! Its all their fault I have to loose the weight.. dang it Cheese Its.. you gave me a bad day! I hate you.. for now!

    Feeew! Well that was it for me! I mean I wanted other things but Cheese its were calling me hard today!
    Moving on and not looking back!

    day 23 vlcd, have one or two cheats, hunger comes and goes.
    Went to fredy meyers for coconut oil, and all one vitamins, considered attacking the cashew and nut displays,,, raw salmon in the fish case made me run, I love raw salmon with wasabi,
    this was my first grocery store attack, shopping has not been an issue. I am considering cycling, oohh for one week of salmon and nuts and cheese.....

    Thanks for starting this thread - VLCD day 14 and having MAJOR carb cravings....the bad ones like fazoli's breadsticks and sugar cookies. Had a dream 2 nights ago about fazoli's breadsticks and have been craving them ever since. It's stupid because I ate these loading and wanted to leave them behind to be thin but now I want them back! So much of this is mental....that's the hardest part ..sigh..

    I only crave meat.. any meat, and chocolate on this diet. I only eat chocolate while pms'ing so it's strange I want it everyday. Good thing about craving meat is that I will have a little extra sometimes, not sausage, but grilled chicken or a little egg. Stay strong everyone!!
