    Adjusting Intermountain pellets?

Hi - new to hhcg & pellets but not new to the HCG diet itself. I have always done rx injections but given my extreme sensitivity to HCG and need to adjust using IM last time, I decided to try the Intermountain pellets this time. Today is VLCD 1 and I donít know how many days you have to be on pellets for before skipping doses to see how to adjust to fix hunger. I have always had to adjust down as based on how Iím feeling now Iím expecting that again, but I also know itís only day 1 of VLCD and thatís early, but also not sure how to do that on pellets - or what the lowest effective dose is for pellets.

I NEED to get through this round. I started at 2 pellets 3x/day based on some posts here (8:30am/2:30pm/8:30pm) but idk if the pellet count is ok but those intervals are maybe too frequent, can I go down to 1 pellet 3x/day? Do I stay at 2 pellets and just increase the intervals to 7 or 8 hours in between instead?

Any thoughts/feedback would be most welcome!

For homeopathic hhcg, the taper of dose overlap is 2 days (48 hours), so by your third dose day, you have reached your full dose. You can change dose at this point.

To make sure your dose is too high and not too low, you can do a skip day tomorrow. Skip your first 2 doses, and by early evening, you should have your answer and be able to adjust accordingly.

You can go down to 1 pellet 3X a day safely if that is what is needed. Your intervals look fine.

Thanks so much Leez! I will skip tomorrow morning/afternoon and get a read on where Iím at. And good to know I can safely go down to 1 3x/day if that is what skipping tomorrow tells me, which I suspect it will based on my history, but given Iím also a weird subject it will be interesting to see which way the pendulum swings. I just ate dinner and the apple and same issue as lunch, still hungry. Not unbearably so - but itís there - and I know from injections what it feels like when itís ďrightĒ and this isnít it.

Another question: any interactions with hhcg and thyroid meds? I take armour with additional t3 and searched but I couldnít find anything related to contraindications with thyroid meds so I figured Iíd ask now while Iím thinking of it.

    Thanks again for your help/guidance.

HCG can elevate thyroid levels and some find they can lower their thyroid meds during P2. I don't know if that holds true for hhcg though. Be aware of that possibility should you notice any hyper signs like heart palps, jitters or nervousness.

Most people don't have any issues though, its just something that can happen with HCG.

Since your hunger is not unbearable, you might not need to cut your dose by half. (Should you need
reducing by what your skip day shows) if you find your hunger resolves tomorrow evening, you might want to consider not dropping quite so much. You could try 1 pellet 4x a day, for instance.

Thank you! I did have to cut my T3 at one point when I first started adding that to the armour so I will keep an eye out for that this time too.

So if I were to go to 4x/day what would you suggest the intervals be/how many hours between should I try to space it out or what schedule would you suggest?

Take one on rising, one before bed and split the inbetween time by 3 to get the other 2 times. Basically, spread them throughout your waking day. So something like 8am -12pm -5pm- 10pm

or you could keep the 3x a day schedule and just add one pellet to either the morning or evening dose. You may have to play around with it a bit. There's not right answer that fits everyone.

Again, THANK YOU! This is all new to me and confusing to figure out when you fall outside the norm. ďI miss injectionsĒ is something I never thought Iíd say lol

MrsWoody, good luck on your pellet journey. I have some new pellets, but haven't done them in years and years. Hope you get the dose down correctly.

So much is said, that injectable hcg may not be available in 2022, I am assuming these restrictions would not affect accessibility of pellets and homeopathic hcg?

Thanks Dubbles, I appreciate it. I hope I get the dose down correctly too, this is a big new learning curve after getting injections and the mixing and adjusting process down pat. Iím finishing up lunch and feeling better than yesterday, but weíll see what the rest of the afternoon brings. This feels like symptoms that I generally have on a too high dose of rx, but Iím trying to keep an open mind and not jump to conclusions in case Iím wrong. I hope youíre able to get your dose correct easily since itís been awhile since you used them. Itís amazing how easy this can be when your dose is right!

I know there has been a lot said about the availability and that is a VERY good question since the ďrealĒ hhcg has some HCG in it. It would stand to reason that if HCG isnít available for anything other than fertility there would be an impact downstream, but given the shelf life of pellets I wonder if that wonít be seen/felt until further on down the line when whatever stock Intermountain and others have is depleted. This protocol has helped and continues to help so many, it would be awful if it ceased to exist as an option - especially for those of us who canít lose any other way.

Leez - taking a read on where I am at after skipping morning and afternoon doses and Iím confused. I realized today that I have never had hunger from too low of a dose, only too high, so I donít know how to compare with where I am at now. I definitely felt better after lunch today but could have easily eaten more and Iím hungry, my tummy is a little grumbly, and Iím thinking about food and watching the clock to see if itís reasonable to eat dinner yet. None of which happens when my dose is right. Should I have dinner (itís not quite 4pm here) and wait a little longer to see how I feel later? Iím not due for my evening dose, based on my initial ďscheduleĒ, for another 4.5 hours. Iím thinking I should maybe stick to that and take 2 then try 1 in the morning and afternoon doses so I donít cut all the way in half. Thoughts?

Is 4pm your normal eating time? If you eat at your normal time and are still hungry in the evening, that indicates you need to go up not down.

If that is the case, increase your evening dose tonight and add a pellet to each dose tomorrow.

Just because you always needed to reduce before doesn't mean that will hold true this time. You are already starting at a lower dose than normal, yes? I think regular dose is 3 pellets, 3X day. You would be just increasing to a normal dose.

Oh thatís a good point/question that I hadnít considered. When not on HCG I donít really eat dinner. On typical days I have a late-ish breakfast & later lunch and Iím usually done eating for the day by 3pm.
