I am a crossfitter. I just started 6 days ago. I purposely decided to not do cf for the first week. Tomorrow will be a week, so I am going to go in the morning. I sort of lucked out (if you can look at it that way) because I sprained my meniscus and strained my hamstring on the junk yard dog warm up at Coach Burgener's oly cert on Halloween weekend, was doing pretty good then the other day tried to do a clean and jerk and reinjured it, so doc says not bad but to lay off anything that puts a strain on my knee or ham for a few weeks until completely better. Long story longer, so tomorrow when I go back, my coaches will need to modify my wods around my leg, which means pullups, pushups and situps kinda stuff. I am thinking that the timing is sort of good since I am doing a 40 day round so by the time I will be running and jumping again, I'll be in P3. I am registered for a kettlebell cert in a couple of weeks so am hoping my leg can make it through that! Soooo happy to see another cffer here though!

    Happy Thanksgiving All!

p.s. nobody at my box knows i am doing this diet either . . . i figure p3 is super paleo-ish so it will play into it well. the owner of another affiliate does know i am doing this because i am using the same doc she used when she did it - LOL

It's great to see another CF'er! I've done well on hcg. I'm on day #26 of drops (I'm doing the homeopathis stuff) and I'm down 23.5 pounds. My strength and my stamina are down a bit but that's to be expected. I doubled my protein to 6oz of meat twice a day, I only do one fruit, mostly an apple, and veggies at both meals. I did do Grissini sticks because I felt so deprived everywhere else!

As for CF, the first week I didn't train, the second week I added back strength work only, the third week I added in metcons after the strength, but at low intensity, and now in the fourth week, I'm doing three intense metcons (as intense as I can). I'm doing well, recover well, and will hopefully be into P3 early next week if I hit my goal! Good luck on your journey!

Thanks! I would rather lift than do metcons this early on, but not sure I can come up with an excuse when I go back tomorrow. I mean I could just lift at home, but you know how it is at cf, being gone too long is just strange since ur like family in a way. I'm not sure what they are going to do because of my leg. I hope you are having a happy thanksgiving!! I am in Florida. Where ru?

I'm in California. Luckily since I own the affiliate and do all the the progamming, I could make it work for me. Does your affiliate let you do your own thing or have any "open gym" time?

I went to cf and one owner told me to just lift and/or do my own thing and the other owner had time, so he made up a wod for me that was doable with my leg. I think on my normal 6 am class, they will probably just have me lift or do whatever I want which works out perfectly!! They haven't started any "open gym" time yet, but will some day I'm sure. They do their best with everything, but like you they both work full time and run the gym. One is a police officer! : ) I am going to a mobility cert at cf invictus in san diego in april.
