Yay, Sherli!!! That's why Simeon's protocol is called Pounds and Inches! Congrats, there's nothing wrong with slow and steady. Glad you've made it to "One-derland"!

First day of VLCD on the patch. All is well so far, it's only 10:30am but I haven't had much hunger at all (no more so than the first day on Rx). And it's lunchtime in just a bit! Can't wait to step on the scale tomorrow morning!

Did you do P3 and P4? If not, you WILL regain what you lost. Those rounds are so important for stabilization and resetting Leptin so we don't regain as easily. Also, with the protocol, once on maintainance, if you gain 2 pounds over last dose weight, you do a correction so you don't have that extra weight creep.

The more I read about this protocol, leptin reset, and paleo diet, the more it makes sense. I think Simieons was on to something that we are only just now understanding the biomechanics of (and still, there is a lot of missing information in that arena.)

But anyway, celebrate your current losses and future losses! You go, girl!

After a brief PI (planned interruption), I am back

As you may recall, I took a PI due to running out of patches and vacillating on reordering or using drops to finish off the round. I ordered more patches due to the convienience factor, but stayed on the PI while I had a guest for a few days.

I was on the PI for 9 days and gained back 4.4 pounds While I was eating like on P3, I was introduced to Gin and Tonics (a drink I had never tried before, why I don't know), and we drank some wine and ate cheese and other good things. I was pretty good at following P3, with a few exceptions at the very end, to which I rationalized that I was "loading" (unnecessary after so short a break.)

This is day 1 on VLCD, and I am even more determined to finish out the next 2 weeks of this round as close to protocol as I can with the addition of some extra protien (NF) at breakfast.

I have my salad with grilled chicken for lunch, will have lean ground beef and green beans for dinner. I have an orange with me for a snack, and will have strawberries tonight.

Having a plan is a great thing. Having limited choices makes it easy.

    Happy loses to everyone!

So the last time I was on the patch was in March and I didn't have to worry about people seeing my patch. Now that it's summer and I'm wearing tank tops and sundresses I don't know where to place the patch so that people won't see it. I wore a sundress to work today with my patch in it's normal place (upper left back of shoulder) and people kept coming up to me to tell I had a sticker on my back. I finally got sick of it and put a sweater on. Anyone else have issues with this or am I the only one? Are there recommendations of other places I could put it without losing effectiveness?

I wear mine on the side of the boob under the bra cup. Works for me.

Okay, it's the end of VLCD 2 and today was soooooo much better than yesterday, hunger-wise! Last night I was in dispair so slapped on another patch on my right arm, that seemed to help almost immediately. Interesting. I will wear both until it's time to switch out again and then just try one.

Anyone ever their patch fall off in the shower? I've never had an issue ever with my patch coming off in the shower. Of course that was when I wore the patch on my back shoulder. I changed it to under my left breast from feedback I've seen on here and from what I rec'd from Freq Apps. I only had it on one day and the next it came off in the shower just like a wet band aid. I was pretty mad that I lost 2 days of dieting b/c of it. But I emailed freq apps and told them the issue as well as asking for advice. They were awesome! They suggested wearing on the top part of my left breast and they were sending a replacement (which I didn't even ask for). So if you ever have any issues email them! They are super quick to respond and are very helpful!

eacdabney, I had the same problem. I found that if I wipe the area with alcohol before I put the patch on, they will not fall off. I picked up a box of the alcohol wipes at the drug store. They are very small, maybe 1" square individually wrapped. Nice because I can throw them in a travel bag with the patches.

Hi Everyone! I put the patch on this morning and started my first load day. I plan on loading for 2 days and then starting the VLCD on Sunday. I am extremely nervous about this whole process and what it will bring my way. I have about 15 pounds that I need to lose and really hope that I can do it. I have read through this entire thread and gained some valuable information. This is such a hard time of year to try and lose weight but I have to do it. Best of luck to everyone else that is going through this process as well.

I ordered my patches on Wednesday and thought that they would be here by now, but no luck. I started sub lingual and plan to switch when my patches arrive. Has anybody had any experience doing that? How did it work?

Finally made it to the 170's, whoooo hooooo! Good bye July and Good Bye 180's. I'm never going back! Downward I go! Whoop Whoop!
