    mrsstrong: its all about water right now. Water shifting is moving your scale. Remember, there needs to be a calories deficit of 3500 to lose a pound of actual body tissue. Calorie intake in P2 is so low that changes in daily calorie amounts are not significant to your fat loss progress.

    It is a good thing that you are having water shifts at the end of P2. Your empty fat cells are releasing the water they were holding in hopes of replacing it with fat again. They finally gave up and the water release happened. It is a normal part of the process. Having them now is much better than having them in P3, when scale watching is so important to how you proceed each day. You want all that water shifting to be done by the time you reach P3 for that reason.

    Losses so far:

    Week 1 5 pounds without knowing pre-loading weight, loading weight, and day 1 weight
    Week 2 3.4
    Week 3 3.2
    Week 4 2.6
    Week 5 2.8
    Week 6 3 with 3 days to go

    Average loss 0.5 pounds/day
    20 pounds lost

    ETA: redid the counting because I skipped counting the drop from Sat. to Sundays. Total was not adding up.

    P2 Day 38

    Weight 168.8 which is what I expected. That was a big drop yesterday!

    Just hanging in till Friday on P2 and Sunday morning, eggs and bacon here I come!

    So funny! Eggs and bacon are what I was most looking forward to as well. Can't wait to have you join us in P3!

    Ditto..... will be nice to follow your journeys and that in itself is a support process to keep up on the right path
    There is so little guidance in terms of P3 that it is nice to document what we do and see the results

    I don't know if any of you felt the same... but by the end of P2 I was so sick of the monotony it was not even funny any more

    MrsStrong...don't you do the 72hours on VLCD without drops? or is it different with drops?

    Same! I knew this would happen LOL If tomorrow is a gain I will however scream! Not fair haha. Just gotta keep going today and keeping my fingers crossed tomorrow is either the same or lower. I wish we could take the weight after the first no drops day, so the next morning since the LDD is still a 500cal day with hcg. But I know we need the cushion weight wise to allow fluctuation so I will be a good girl and not do anything different.

    I feel fine eating what I have been. I am strangely happy with the same meals for quite a while. The simplicity gives me peace. I typically eat very similar from day to day even when not on HCG. I most always have yogurt or eggs and bacon, both with berries for breakfast, omelet of some sort with veggies for lunch, and some kind of meat, and veggies for dinner, either in soup, stew, or as separate dishes. Yesterday I made a yummy pork tenderloin with cranberry and balsamic sauce over risotto for the fam. It looked so good I am planning on making it in P3 again (minus the rice of course). I'll just use Swerve instead of sugar.

    And yeah, on HHCG it is 48 hours.

    I was definitely sick of white fish and shrimp and chicken breast by the end of P2. And definitely super eager for some veggie variety as you know. But I think by January I'll be ready to give it another go.

    Last Drop Day

    P2 Day 40

    LDD!!!!

    Weight is 168, a nice round number. Total loss 20.8 pounds from P2 Day 2 till now. I am pretty happy because I know this is a totally normal average. Last time I had a hard time accepting the fact that women my age hardly ever lose more than 20-25 per round and I always wanted more. Most days then were a small loss mixed with a tinge of disappointment. This time, I accepted it, set out knowing I would lose about 20 pounds, and it made my round so much more pleasant. I don't know what made it easier but probably having had time to internalize this. I think many of us start out with thinking that we will lose at least 30 pounds. This happens to some but not to the majority and this is not anyone's fault nor is losing more anyone's own virtue. It just is.

    So the coming three days are P2 and I will enjoy my last P2 meals till some time in January. I am not weighing myself on no drop days to keep 168 in my head and not drive myself nuts. I could have a nice drop but it will mess with me in P3, trying to stay there and not the LDW.

    So this may be the end of my P2 entries! Since this is in the HHCG lounge and not in any specific phase forum, I may just continue P3 here as well because keeping them together may be helpful down the road or for anyone else.
