Carbs will remain evil if I keep gaining on them or if they make me crave more, or they may become a welcome addition to my diet.
So interesting how we are each at a point of knowing ourselves so well through experience and conducting our own self experiments right now. May we all discover that which will take us further into better health!

    P3 Day 8

    Today starts week 2

Weight 169.6 so up again but only 0.6oz. and no bowel yet so I think I am good.

I ate my normal breakfast, nothing all day, and then a large meal of kalua port and cabbage around 4:30, strawberries, kale chips, and olives for snack later when I got hungry, which was good because it added 200 calories that I needed.

I think my setpoint is going to be closer to 169 than 168 which is fine by me but being so close to 170 is stressful. At what point do I say OK 169 is my new setpoint and it is two pounds up or down from there? After P3 is done? 10 days of hovering there?

Plan for today is my usual breakfast, steak and Greek salad for lunch, chicken chili without beans for me/with for the fam (yay for a big and a small IP!) for dinner! Adding feta to my diet!
    Goal 150
    Start 188.8
    10/4/20 P2 Loss 20.8 pounds
    11/15/20 P3 LDW 168
    12/6/20 P4 Adjusted LDW to 169

    P3 Day 9

    Weight 168.8

I feel much better here Knowing that we can gain/lose as much as 0.8 makes being 169.6 just nerve-wracking! I really don't like that I need to find some peace in knowing that I am eating well and don't need to worry. I am also finding that I can listen to my hunger in the evening and have a healthy snack. Last night I had some more Greek salad. Totally new and weird but until I actually get enough calories during the day, I think this works. I am astounded at the amount of food still. Here is a list of what I ate yesterday:

What breakfast looks like. I added a slice of cheddar. I remembered that grated cheese has added carbs in it in the form of potato starch. Didn't want to risk it but maybe I am overly cautious. This works though. I hate grating cheese!

You are a seriously organized data geek, aren't you? How cool. I so am not. Obviously.

Can't remember where we were talking about fruit, but I'm eating an apple every day. My issue with fruit isn't carbs, it's that I really only like to eat fruit that's seasonal. Apples are it these days in this part of the world.

I'm thinking so much of you, mrsstrong, because I'm making the pumpkin pie recipe you posted this very minute! I also made the keto chocolate cake tonight and will be making the chocolate mousse frosting tomorrow. Thinking I'll decorate it with raspberries. This is my first experiment with Swerve. The little licks of batter and things I tasted were very sweet after no sweets at all for me for months--and very tasty!!

I guess so LOL! It is second nature when I need to get a good grip on something. It is more a check than a plan, if that makes sense. I just finished dinner and will plug it all it to see where I am at. It's a crutch till I can be more at ease as to what normal higher carb looks like. Was going to add a dinner picture but started eating before I could haha.
ETA: I just plug in food and amount. The app does the rest.

I think a lot of fruit remains seasonal in away because that is why we used to preserve them. So then I jumped from "well, I am not preserving them" to "but, they are in the store anyway" to "I might as well eat what I want" Bwhahaha.

I am going to get to the pie tomorrow I hope!

We are very lucky that we really are spoilt for choice with fruit and veg party also because of changes in weather in our 11 provinces.... so never a problem to get seasonal here however avo can become a bit problematic at times and the first sign that it is not seasonal is the price...
Mentally I am still counting calories but I stopped recording because it takes up so much time but it also focussed my energy on the wrong thing....

I am just focused on eating! I am using it to eat more. Haha. So far every day I have eaten under 1500 by the time I check so I am still learning. And it means I need an after-dinner snack. It's so weird. You saw my two plates. Those are dinner plates full. Dinner was another plate full. Still not enough! Barely made it over 1500.

    P3 day 10

    Weight 168.2
    Yay!

Busy few days. I am a labor doula and had one client give birth Friday and one today after 4 days. Needless to say, I am horizontal!
I ate really well and since adding some cheese and at least half an apple, I am getting enough calories easily. I was totally expecting to need to get up and make myself a snack and I don't need to! 1730 calories may be too much but it is a rather physical job (amazing I could even do it in P2!) and hopefully, I will be fine.

In between, I was home some of the time, so I did manage to cook the ribs, the pearl onions for creamed onions, and the pecan pies! Tomorrow is another day and pumpkin pies, BBQ sauce (I think I will use Leez's!), cranberry sauce, and creamed onion will be done. I think the rest will be cooked on Thanksgiving day as they are the sweet potatoes and veggies. One good thing about not making a turkey is that I don't have to babysit a turkey!
