Total loss on HCG as of 10/26/10 - 41.8 lbs. I think I've gained half of this back didn't keep track and so not 100% certain. Back again and ready to make my accomplishments stick this year, even if it takes me awhile to get there!

Quick check in, then back for persies.

I woke up to EXACTLY LDW again. What an incredible psychological boost! Yesterday, I even had TWO starches (but not at the same meal), one was Texas Toast (garlic), that I ate with my Basil/Pesto Tilapia. YUM. As long as I can keep my starches in check, I think I'll do well in P4 (but, I am to starches as Jeff is to steak... unfortunately, I don't think starches work for me the same way steak works for Jeff! Congrats, Jeff, BTW )

I did my "big" coupon shopping last night... Order originally was $216, coupons/specials took it down to $124, but then I earned a $25 gift card AND $0.70 off per gallon at my next fill-up (that's about $10). I still have some minor coupon shopping to finish up before that sales flyer expires... and today is the last day! My oldest DS is all excited about getting to "run into the store" for his 7 or 8 items and buy them all on his own (should be faster than MY dragging all 5 kids in and out several times!)

    Well, that's all for now.

tmp1968 While you're out test driving take a ride around the block in the GMC Terrain I really like mine and the gas mileage is awesome. I thought I loved the "luxury" of my Cadillac CTS with the leather and wood and crap but the Terrain is so much more comfortable and economical. Memorial Day is a great excuse for car sales, they really make it worth your while.

AFM - Haven't updated ticker in days but still hovering at .4 below to .4 above my LDW, P4 is so manageable. For every day I treat myself to something and am up .4 I do a "healthy" day and find myself back below LDW. Exercising going well, my PT (17 yo DS) is enjoying bossing me around

For all with their goal weight AND a belly roll ~ a new round may not do much for that, I have it from carrying 2 large baby boys and 2 caesareans...crunches are making the difference that the weight loss didn't. It seems to be more of a "relaxed" un-toned muscle thing than "abnormal" fat that goes away with HCG so don't kill yourselves expecting too much.

    LDW 131.6 3/21/11;
    End of Week 1 P3 eating 3/30 weigh-in 131.8 (+.2 LDW)
    End of Week 2 P3 eating 4/6 weigh-in 131.8 (+.2 LDW)
    End of Week 3 P3 eating 4/13 weigh-in 132.2 (+.6 LDW)
    4-13-11 weigh-in 131.4 (-.2 LDW) P4 for life

    JoAnn: what great news!

Abinco: Wow, thatís very encouraging about the fresh milled bread. Last round, wheat and I didnít get along, so I just didnít eat any, not even home made whole wheat bread. Iíve often thought about buying a grain mill. I donít know where I would be able to find fresh milled flour around here. Something to think about, because I love a piece of toast in the morning.

Bev: Itís a good morning for great news!! Congrats. Canít wait until Iím there.

Bobbi: Iím jealous about the sun, but glad for you. My sister-in-law is VLCD3 and is down 4.2 lbs. and loving it.

Leslie: Have a good time tonight

Diane: Iím lovin the 160ís also

Jeff: Wow, that was some steak.

Peggy: you are a poster child for a successful P3, good for you

LisaK: impressed with your shopping expertise.

AFM: down .6 today, surprised because I slept(didnít) in a recliner last night so I wouldnít keep my hubby up all night with my hacking. My dogs kept asking me if it was time to get up yet, I finally relented at 6, so I weighed in a little earlier than usual. Itís funny that the older I get, the less tolerance I have for these minor illnesses. Luckily they donít catch me very often. Enjoy the day everyone, and thanks for all of the support.

    GO SOX!!

Well, let me tell you, I am DOWN 1.6 today!! I am totally at awe! I am eating fresh milled bread again today to see what happens. I need to make my own loaf. It was so good and I omit the melba's of course and our bread is healthier to boot. Well, that is my story. My friend even drinks energy drinks and loses! I will not do that but just saying.
That's cool! I actually use FinnCrisp rye crackers instead of the Melbas. They are much less processed.

So... I am down .8 today.. now I am only .6 from LDW. Not sure why I dropped this morning. Yesterday was a high fat LOW carb day, not on purpose but I had nuts for lunch and a steak for dinner. Maybe that got me down a little more. I'll take it! Maybe I will completely get back to LDW instead of hovering right above it! We will see!
High fat low carb is good! I hope you reclaim LDW, too!

I'm doing a steak day today. I will keep this in mind. I have trouble meeting the "1/2 your weight in ounces" quota. 2 liters is fine. More than that is pushing it for me, and it makes me unhappy.

Have a great day everyone and happy Cinco de Mayo!!!
You're brave. If I were going out to a Mexican place on P2, I would be too chicken to try to order anything, so I would probably eat before and drink seltzer while at the restaurant.

Congratulations! I really think that taking the prescribed long breaks helps the overall outcome. I know it's hard to be patient.

AFM - Today, I'm 2.4 above LDW, so steak day for me. Yesterday, I way overdid the veggies, and I'm pretty sure a bit of that gain is bulk. But there was also some travel gain that hadn't resolved itself. After my steak day, I think I'll limit myself to 2-3 servings of fruit/veggies per day: one with lunch, one with dinner, and a fruit if I want it. The last thing I want to do in P3 is drop my calories too much below 2000...
Started my HCG journey on March 16, 2011

That means a BIG drop the next day. I weigh myself every night. Last night I weighed 142.8 which was up only .8 so I knew I would have a nice drop today which I did!! I am siked!

Have plans to go to Hu Hot on Saturday with friends--Asian food is my favorite and after the bobby pin incident I mentioned before I don't eat any asian food here in town. At Hu Hot you don't have to worry about what you might find in your food and I like that. I'll just avoid the rice/noodles but since I'm in P4 I may be a little more sauce adventurous. As long as it's spicy.

Sorry about the steak day Could be the cake... I don't know. I still don't know what *really* made me gain nearly 6 lbs my first P3 weekend (I was away, I was 4# above LDW, and I'm finally back AT my LDW...over 3 weeks later!) Here's hoping you will correct quickly and easilly!

What's not to love about Cinco de Mayo? We're celebrating on Saturday... too much going on today to really do it right. Hoping for the best with your fajita beef... but just as a warning, some of the fahita recipes marinate in tequila...I had fahita beef the weekend I went up nearly 6 pounds (4 lbs over LDW). Probably won't be buying fahitas again (we are, however, making them at home...) Best wishes for a fun and scale-fairy-friendly Cinco de Mayo!

Congrats on your loss today despite your sleep. I did not sleep long enough either but my drop was BIG for week 4!!

You can search for a bakery in your area that might have fresh milled. The one here sells it but you would have to buy like 7 loaves to justify the shipping. You would also have to freeze it as it will not stay fresh out for more than a week or so. You can buy a mill then order your grains. There are several that sell them online. It really is the best. I can normally when not on the diet, eat 3 slices a day and either maintain or lose doing so. Awesome! I also eat sprouted. Not sure if that would help me during this diet like the milled does. Eating more today so lets see what happens tomorrow. Doubt I will be as lucky but ya never know.

Well, I am sure it will only work with fresh milled. I can eat it P3 too without a problem and do very well. I used to be a Amway rep ions ago! Their products are great! I took their vitamins when I had my first and second child. Good stuff. I also still use the pots I got as a gift!

Most of mine is loose skin... crunches won't do much for it. You can feel the muscles underneath. 6 pregnancies in 10 years is just a lot.

After my steak day, I think I'll limit myself to 2-3 servings of fruit/veggies per day: one with lunch, one with dinner, and a fruit if I want it. The last thing I want to do in P3 is drop my calories too much below 2000...
Steak day... hope it's as good for you as it is for Jeff (you so don't want mine...lol)

Awesome job! and I need to learn to coupon! Any suggestions? Because baby girl and hubs are expensive grocery snobs.. lol!

Awesome!!! So what do you eat that is P4. and what is your exercising like?

It’s funny that the older I get, the less tolerance I have for these minor illnesses. Luckily they don’t catch me very often. Enjoy the day everyone, and thanks for all of the support.
Good drop even with lack of sleep and being sick! Hope you rest well tonight!
