I've posted some parts of my journey but not blogged yet...I will do so when I have more time and peace to get my thoughts together - life if way too hectic right now...but yes, ultimately I will do so - thanks!

Nice loss Ceridwen!! 133lbs is a huge acheivement!! Congrats!!

Mercury~ Welcome!! I wish you much success in your journey!! Its not an easy diet but certainly its very rewarding :-) AND it works!! I have no advice with the liquid aminos HHCG but certainly there must be someone on here using them too. Lets see about some of the lingo that I can help you with:
AFM~ this always gets people LOL! It means "as for me"
    TOM~ Time of the Month
P2~ the time you are in the very low cal. part of the diet
P3~ this is the time to maintain +/- 2lbs from your last weight
    P4~ life
    VLCD~ Very Low Calorie Diet
    IF~ Intermittent Fasting

Thats all I can come up with for now.

    AFM
Still maintaining right around +2lbs of my last patch weight. Sometimes I go down to LPW but mostly just hang around 2 above. I am not complaining and enjoying being thinner and feeling healthier. Going riding today, should be a beautiful day!!

Have a great day everyone! Make it count!!

I just started R3 VLCD3 completed! On my first 2 rounds I was freezing cold in the evenings/night which I know many others experience. This round I am freezing for a while, but then get sweaty hot!!??? It is making me mental!
Has any one else had this insane COLD/HOT BS going on???
Tks & I hope everyone is enjoying sweet dreams right how
Flychick, On my first round that i did on RX over 2 years ago I found that I was always warm. Normally I am always cold when everyone else is warm or comfortable which has nothing to do with hcg, but on the HHCG i do not get warm. Hope that helps. I will be joining you on VLCD 1 on Tuesday - loading on Sunday and Monday....but not overloading as I want to make goal in 2 weeks.

You are amazing. Congratulations on your losses! I had a spare moment and popped on the forum to see how everyone was doing. So happy for you!

Happy Friday everyone! Just wanted to wish everyone a happy Easter and stay away from those chocolate bunnies unless of course you've made him out of cocoa crack! And if that's the case eat him fast b/c he'll melt fast. LOL!!!

I'm a week into P3 and maintaining within my +2lb range. There really is something to this Paleo thing! I even have my husband convinced b/c he's been doing it for the week I've been on P3 and he's lost like 10lbs. We are still trying to wrap our heads around that stupid gov't brainwashing of not eating full fat.

I am taking my daughter (6 yrs old) to see Mirror Mirror this afternoon and I will have to apply the Primal Blueprint 80% rule and enjoy some popcorn. We hardly ever go to the movies so this will be a treat!

P3 starts tomorrow for me. Can't wait for my BAB!! Down .4 today and feel really good about that as I was a little rogue last night with 88% chocolate pieces. Any way, have lots to do today and wanted to wish everyone a great day ahead.

I'm off today for Good Friday and will spend some quality time with my family. God is good!

I really don't understand the acronyms being used to describe start dates ( ex. r1 start, r3pt...) if someone could explain to me what all of the different acronyms mean I would really appreciate it. My shipment of HHCG arrived today but I haven't begun taking the drops yet. I'm at the end of my cycle ( monthly )and I wanted to wait a few days before I started. I'm aiming for Mon. Any advice, suggestions, or even encouragement will be greatly appreciated. The HHCG drops that I chose to use are HCG1234. These are the HHCG drops with the amino acids blend. I read many reviews about this product after the removal of the hormone and people have said that they still like this brand and that they are satisfied with their weight loss.

I'm so glad that I found this community because I know that I could not do this on my own without support from the members or my friends.

    Welcome, Mercury!

Only advise I have is stick to the protocol this first round and you should be fine. You can ditch the melba toast and raise your protein to 4 oz though per the vets (ha how is that for sticking to protocol? LOL) and I liked that better, wanting to be off gluten.

You will have stalls, don't worry about them. You are losing inches during that time

Using drops with hcg in them would worry me though, I would rather have the real thing. When looking at this diet, one has to look at weight loss but most importantly at how people stabilize. If people lost the wrong kind of fat and muscle, they won't stabilize well at all. So that is my two cents about that.

Good luck and keep us posted!

Awesome losses, Ceridwen. Amazing that you can lose over a # a few days in a row! I wish!

Diane, this seems to be very common! I know, not what I would want either but if it lets me eat yogurt and eggs, I'll take it. I am up one whole # from eating Greek Yogurt yesterday Boooooo

Betsy, that is awesome that your husband lost 10#. Guys lose so easily on the paleo diet!! Lucky bstrds...
Congrats on maintaining too! Have you seen this? Pretty neat about how the "truth" about cholesterol was "discovered."

    Round 1 ended 3/25 30
    Round 2 ended 6/27 26
    LDW 185.8

8/17 started high fat/adequate protein/low carb diet (nutritional ketosis):
    Starting weight: 185.4
    11/19 168.6

    Good morning all!

Mercury, welcome! I agree with Mrs. - stick to protocol, but ditch the melba toast. I also think mentally it is important to view this not as a diet but as a kickstart to changing your eating habits permanently. I am only three weeks in, so I am no expert, but I just think it will be easier to maintain your losses if you use the VLCD phase 2 to start thinking about long-term changes you want to make.

Ceridwen, congratulations on your losses! 133# is so amazing! That's probably the total I need to lose, so it is inspiring to hear of your success! Mind if I ask? How is your skin doing? I just started dry brushing and will add some oils once on P3...any suggestions from your experience about how to keep skin caught up with the weight loss?

AFM, after three days of goose eggs I am down 1.6# this morning! I am getting close to twenty pounds gone, and I can't wait!!

Hope you all have wonderful Easter weekends!

I have been doing the sublingual Hhcg drops for 3 wks now on P2 but after reading someone elses post re: your starting weight needs to be after loading and not before- I was not counting the loading weight I actually lost so when I use that as my starting weight I now am at a loss of -19.8 so actually only .2 away from goal so that makes me feel some better !! LOL once I hit that onward to P3 for 3 wks.... either way it's all good and I LOVE this protocol... good luck to you as well...

Do NOT feel bad about asking questions we ALL were newbies at this at one time or another but what I would suggest is read, read and more reading so you get familar with the phases, what each entails, read Pounds and Inches if you have no already (should be around here somewhere to download for free) and just try and get as much information as you can about the Phase you will be in which I assume will P2 the losing phase or VLCD phase.... try not to read up on all the phases or it may get overwheling- focus on where you are gonna start and read up on that- Good luck- this protocol rocks!!
