Definitely try skipping every 5th day. It couldn’t hurt to try and it worked well for me. I’ve heard of people going as low as .80 subq, so maybe you could adjust slightly lower. I don’t know about the hhcg being less potent (I thought that too before I tried it), BUT it does work completely different in that it makes your body produce hcg, so MAYBE a different delivery method would work better for you. There is an adjustment period where you have to figure out your dose though, so I might not try hhcg until my next round if I were you after all you’ve been going through. I would try skipping sooner or lowering dose slightly first, or maybe both since you can’t skip again yet...you could lower a smidge tmw & thurs and see if it makes a difference, then skip Friday

I'm glad you contacted her. I think the guidance the jgd is giving you makes sense to try.

Or, maybe your "feel goods" from today will continue and you won't have to do anything drastic. Let's hope so!

Also thanks for passing along Grammy's response to your email. Having that thought on the record here may be helpful to others.

I am one of those people who went to .80 subq and that is when I switched to IM and at 125 was great so I thought I had found my magic bullet and was all set to sail through this round at 125 IM again. That was almost one year ago. In past subq rounds I would start at whatever dose I ended at in the last round and inevitably that would be too high no matter how much time had passed. Interesting about the hhcg and finding it isnít less potent and that it makes your body produce HCG - I wondered how it worked if it was so diluted. But yes, I wonder if MAYBE that would work better for me. Itís certainly preferable to thinking of never being able to use HCG again since I still have issues with thyroid levels and staying optimal there. But even when my thyroid levels are good for awhile I am still not able to lose weight without HCG. And if I try strenuous exercise then my adrenals tank and I gain weight. Im cursed. I agree that fiddling with anything right now or changing the method is not a good idea given the circumstances. I really donít want to mess anything up more than it already is or has been and desired/ideal state is to be able to see this round through with IM, stabilize, then maybe try the alternate method in the fall to get the last (hopefully) chunk of weight off. Then hopefully itís a good long while before my thyroid goes wonky again and I can maintain for a decent stretch.

Thanks Leez, I am glad too. Sheís such a wealth of information and Iím grateful she is still willing to spend time answering questions.

Yes! It is my fervent and desperate hope that the ďfeel goodsĒ from today will continue and nothing drastic will be needed. If it was just one ďoff dayĒ that canít be explained, I will take it!

Youíre welcome. Especially given that this is such a rare occurrence I thought it should be recorded in case there is even just one more anomaly out there like me that my trials & tribulations can help. You, Grammy and the other mods and contributors have helped me learn so much on this journey, itís the least I can do to try and help return the favor in some small way.

Another thing from Grammyís email regarding lowering my dose. While I also recall that .80 is the lowest possible accepted dose to continue to be effective, she indicated that she wouldnít lower IM to more than .44 (110iu based on how I mixed - 2000iu with 8ml bac water). BUT, given that itís generally accepted (and previously proven) that 125 works for nearly everyone when doing IM, and if not a much smaller adjustment is needed for only a few, I wonder if that is really true and ***maybe*** ***possibly*** I could get away with slightly less. I guess I could be the test case for that as well and if it doesnít work then Iím still in the same spot and no worse off because the higher dose didnít work either. Things to ponder....

If you try it and you have no hunger, you know it was a success. I don’t think you have anything to lose by trying it at this point (except pounds and inches :-))
