Hi everyone! Need advice on creamer that I just found on amazon, Iím not able to post a picture. Itís called
LAIRD superfood creamer, dairy free, unsweetened. 2tsp 15 cal. 1.5 fats. No carbs. Ingred. Coco milk powder, calcium from algae, coco oil, red palm oil. Itís pretty good, not heavy cream😊 I started 1st round P2 itís been six yrs. I lost 80lbs. my goal weight. But sorry to say gained it back. This will be a great encouragement to me having this forum!!

This would not be on protocol. You are allowed 1 T. of whole milk per day on the protocol.

Although your product sounds much better from a real foods standpoint, Walden Farms has a zero calorie creamer you could try. It is still not technically on protocol, but would likely be a safer choice since it doesn't contain calories, and specifically oil calories.

If you do decide to experiment and use your creamer anyway, you would need to account for the calories.

    Good luck on your round.

With any food I'm considering, I just compare the ingredients to that on the approved food list in Pounds and Inches.

Is coconut milk powder on the list? No
Is coconut oil on the list? No
Is red palm oil on the list? No

There's a paragraph in P&I that says (and I'm writing from memory, not quoting exactly) some certain specially prepared unsweetened and low calorie foods can tentatively be used. Does this qualify? I suppose that's a judgment call, but to me, an almost 100% pure fat product (info derived from the fat grams and calories) that hasn't been reduced in calories in any way would not apply.

I can see where it might be useful for P3 if you are avoiding heavy cream and don't want to add your own coconut milk and oil to your coffee.
