wedding to attend this week - on my first week - any tips?

Hello - I am going to a wedding on Saturday. I didn't want to wait to start until after as there is always "something" that will seem like a barrier to lose weight so I just jumped in this week and so far seeing really good results

at the wedding I will be on R1P2VLCD5 ... do you think I should just not eat all day and then eat the beef only when it is served? I don't want to mess this up so early as I am a binge eater and usually, once I go off something I have a very very hard time getting back on .... I am saying grace at the wedding so I cannot skip it, otherwise, I would call in "sick" ....

    Lee-Ann

What time of day is the wedding? I'd try to get my normal lunch in then eat the beef I'm allowed for dinner. take an apple along for dessert.

I would make your meal and bring it in a Tupperware in your purse/bag. If they're serving formally, you could give it to the caters and ask them to bring it to you or if it's buffet style simply get a plate and subtly put your meal on it. Everyone is going to be focused on the bride and groom, not what your eating. I know what you mean about the binge eating, I was one also. I say WAS. After my first round I took 4 months before starting my 2nd round and it was really apparent in those 4 months that the need/desire/compulsion to binge was totally gone. Good luck, you can do this. Peace & balance, k.

Hiroka - that is such good news to hear ... if my compulsion went away I would be an entirely different person, mentally and physically. the one problem about the wedding is I will be sitting with my mom and she is always "watching" and "judging" and this is a sit down multiple course meal .... I think I will do the tupperware thing and give to the servers on the side ... and just deal with my mom as it comes

HORRAY - IT WENT GREAT - here is a copy and paste from my lounge post:

I ended up planning that I did not eat at all during the day (like I read some of you do on a steak day) - I drank a ton of water, green tea and coffee ...(and my drops of course) then at the dinner I just did the best I could do - it was a sit down 6 course Italian meal - i skipped any carbs; asked the waiter to bring me my salad with no dressing; scraped any sauce off the meat; and passed on the desert .... my sister was getting annoyed with me and kept saying "just eat it" ... but I smiled and said "I am not really hungry" - and it is true - I WASN"T ...

down 1.5 pounds this morning -- hip hip horray!

YAY!!! My family and I went out for my little sister's boyfriend's birthday at Stir Crazy. I made my own bowl with lots of veggies, asked the cook to not use oil (he used veg. stock) and I didn't eat any carbs or desserts. I am down 1.5 lbs! YAY! There's hope. We also went to the zoo today and I brought my own lunch, shrimp and spinach salad with honey mustard dressing. yum!
