Hello all,
I’m writing because I just realized that I accidentally used sodium chloride for a round that my mom had given me her left over remainders from a multi round purchase she made from overseas a few years ago. This was about 6 months ago. I didn’t feel well and discontinued after about 20 days or so. I have been doing another round now and just realized that I’d used the plain sodium chloride in that round, and read that it’s unsafe to do this due to risk of bacteria. I wonder if anyone knows more about this, including whether I should try to see a doctor to get antibiotics in case of an issue. How would an infection manifest if I had gotten one? Should I be concerned since I haven’t been feeling well for months now? (I’d attributed it to probably other things, but now I wonder)…

Whether you use water or sodium chloride, it must be bacteriostatic when the mixture is used for injection. It can also be called multi-use.
Infections generally manifest with fever. Even a low grade fever of 100 can signal an infection. If you think you have a chronic infection, you can see a doctor who will give you antibiotics or you can try to treat with home remedies like oil of oregano or colloidal silver.
